Jen did such a wonderful job on the recent wedding of Rachelle and AJ de Moya. Many of the bridesmaids approached me to let me know that not only was their makeup perfect, but that Jen was a great listener and respected their wishes. Jen is professional and hard working and I will continue to recommend her because she always makes my brides happy and gorgeous!!

Frequently Asked Questions for Beauty & Health
What beauty services do you offer?
Makeup

Do you charge for trials?
An actual 1 hour consultation demo is $40. I do not charge you for an initial consultation where we will discuss your color choices and your desired look for the day. If after a free consultation and/or a trial run application you decide to hire my services I require a 50% deposit to reserve the date. You can read over all my booking policies on my website.

Do you travel to the client on the day of the event? If yes, is there a fee?
Yes, I travel to the location of the bride's choosing. There may be travel expenses depending on the distance in relation to the size of the party. I generally charge an additional fee for gas and travel time for weddings more than 25 miles away.

How many customers can you serve at one time if the bride were to book her entire bridal party? Are there discounts for doing so?
Working alone, up to 10 clients is fine. This works well for weddings that are later in the afternoon or evening. For very large wedding parties and/or for weddings scheduled for early in the day, I can hire an assistant artist to work with me.

How far in advance should clients book your services?
The sooner the better of course. Weekend weddings between the months of November and May book the fastest, so keep that in mind. What if you are eloping and getting married in a week? I have various open dates so short notice may not be a problem at all. Contact me to discuss.

What is your cancellation policy?

Do you also style hair?

At this time I do not style hair. I do however, bring stying tools with me and can assist in any touch-up hair do issues.

Tips and Advice
It is no doubt the one day you have dreamed of for a very long time - your wedding!  The one day in your life where you are truly treated like a princess from sunrise till the moon is bright in the sky.  You deserve to be pampered in every way possible.  Many brides experience quite a bit of anxiety in the preparations for their wedding and rightly so.  There are so many details to keep track of.  My job as your makeup artist is to not only make you look stunning for your bridal debut, but to help calm you and keep you relaxed and in a mellow mood.  If there is one piece of advice I can offer you it is this: Breathe!  Enjoy every single second of your glorious day and think of the man you are in love with and marrying.  Most weddings really do come off without a hitch (no pun intended.)  But even small glitches here and there (gasp! the ice sculpture melted!) will seem miniscule and even amusing in your future memories of your day.
As far as the makeup application goes, here are a few tips will help the whole process go smoothly:

Try to limit how many people are around you while you are getting ready.   You are on a schedule and the last thing you need is 12 people all huddled around trying to "help."  Their kind intentions often lead to unintended chaos.  Perhaps arrange for just your mother and/or maid of honor to be of assistance to you.  If you can, try to have your brides’ maids arrive one at a time for their makeup appointment and arrange a separate room where you can go for your own privacy.

Always, always over-estimate how much time you need to get things done.
Add about 15 extra minutes to any task you have to do. The last thing you want is to feel stressed and rushed because you are falling behind schedule.

Every person must arrive with a completely clean face with no trace of makeup.
I will still cleanse, tone and moisturize but the process will be much, much smoother and more expedient starting with a clean canvas.

Wear a button-down shirt so you don't have to pull anything over your head.

If you or members of your party are bringing pieces of their own makeup for me to use, be sure each person has their own items in a name-labled makeup bag.

If you are waxing your brows be sure to hire someone who has done your brows before.

Don't experiment with new facial and/or body treatments such as dermabrasion, glycolic peels, spray tanning etc. before your wedding.

Don’t have your brows waxed the day of your wedding!
You don’t want any puffiness or redness.  1 - 2 days before is best.  I will carefully tweeze any stray individuals that need to be tweezed.

Your hair must be styled before makeup application.  It is definitely worth it to hire your stylist to come to you.

Allow one hour and 15 minutes for your own makeup application (if you choose the longer session), and 45 minutes for each shorter session).  Applications do not take that long - this will simply guarantee staying ahead of schedule!
