The historic Lafayette Hotel located in San Diego’s newest “hip and trendy” central neighborhood of North Park offers a spectacular venue for your Special Day. The hotel was originally built as an exclusive hideaway for Hollywood’s finest. Glamorous stars like Ava Gardner and Betty Grable regularly attended the hotel’s fashionable Mississippi Room to drink dine and dance to the music of the top Big Bands of the era. Intact with it's original clamshell band-stage, the Mississippi is now a popular Wedding Reception Site. With a built in oak dance floor and 5200 square feet of space we can accommodate weddings with as many as 300 guests.

In addition to the famous Mississippi Room, the Hotel boasts a variety of meeting and banquet space including our beautiful Lafayette Ballroom. This 1,680 square foot room provides the intimate charm and comfort to suit a group of up to 100 guests.
Our spacious lobby and sunroom opens onto the veranda of our gorgeous Olympic sized swimming pool designed by Johnny Weismuller the original Tarzan. The sunroom and veranda can also be offered for small ceremonies, cocktail receptions and rehearsal dinners.

During your free consultation, your Wedding Coordinator will go over every detail of your wedding day to ensure its success. We also offer catering services for Engagement Parties, Bridal Showers, Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties, Rehearsal Dinners, and Post-Wedding Brunches. Any of which can be held right here at our spacious facility.
