About
Dear Bride to Be,
My name is Dorota "Doro" Ramirez and I'm the owner of Indgo EFD, a European Floral Design company in Ann Arbor and servicing the Metro Detroit, whole USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
I'd like to share with you a few important facts about my company.
Indigo European Flower Design is a style that is unique and sets my designs apart from others because of my extensive European bases background. My years of study in Germany offer professional floral design on much higher level than one can take here in the United States.
Indigo is a studio-based company that makes not only my designs unique but very affortable for today's bride.Working from a studio environment leaves me flexible time for traveling and meeting, and sets the tone for a more custom design experience.

Give me a call with any questions you may have...I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Dorota Ramirez owner of Indigo EFD

Doro is an amazing florist. Her work is so unique. I have seen her transform a banquet room into a dream reception. She makes bouquets that seem to stay fresh forever. She can also make your bouquet compliment your dress perfectly. I love working with Doro!

Tips and Advice
First tip :
If you are planning a summer wedding and like fresh flowers in your bouquets, try to avoid using hydrangeas. Hydro-means water, and those particular flowers are extremely fragile with out moisture. In hot weather conditions they are dying very quick and just after 30 minutes are looking ugly. So, let your florist be more creative and use for example stock (smells good and is cheaper), sweet William, proteas, limonium, spider chrysanthemums, dahlias…
Second tip:
Try to avoid normal pins for your boutonnières. The normal pin is making wholes in the fabric. Ask your florist (or me) about magnet boutonnière holders. They are a little bit more expansive than the common pin, but it can save you a headache. Specially, if the tuxedo is rented. You can always reuse the magnet for example: for broken jewelry.
I attached a picture of some magnet boutonnière that I have done. Look above-the blue picture.
Third tip:
If you are thinking about your budget, please” be not to specific” with one type of flowers. Always choose first seasonal flowers. I know, it is very hard to change the right picture in the mind, but let your creative people do the work for you…Choosing the seasonal flowers can save you a lot of money… Also, give your florist a little more flexibility: for example go more with colors, rather than with exact flower.
