Volkel and Turner Design, LLC was started by Sara Volkel and Abby Turner in 2007 because of their love of event coordinating and attention to detail. Out of this company came Icing on the Cake Events, a company dedicated to creating creative, elegant, functional events. We specialize in weddings and company events, but also plan and organize any corporate events, fundraisers, private parties, banquets and the likes. Icing on the Cake Events is determined to make every event a success. In the wedding industry, timing, coordination and function go hand in hand with the elegance and charm of every wedding. We are devoted to the idea that a special event must go off as planned to everyone’s smallest detail. If we can eliminate the stress of our clients, that is our utmost goal. Every bride should have a coordinator on the day of her wedding. Just to be there and make sure everyone is dressed and pressed, that the reception looks exactly how it should, and that everyone is there to walk down the aisle, in the correct order when the clock strikes time! Also, maybe little details of how the day should flow have escaped your mind and you just don’t know how it should work. Wedding coordinators specialize in how to fit it all in, how to keep guests dancing until they drop. Most of all, this should be a day for someone else to be stressed!
