Wow I am so glad Katie came into our life!! This woman knows. her. stuff. She helped us figure out exactly what we wanted our ceremony and celebration to be with no pressure. She helped our silly little ideas become a reality and recommended amazing vendors for us. She runs a tight ship but is still so calm and chill??? It's amazing.

We got married in Montana and it was amazing. We couldn't have (and wouldn’t have wanted to!) done it without Katie. Not only is she an amazing wedding planner, but she is an amazing person! From our initial consult, to contracts with vendors, to meetings that went overtime because we were having fun, and all the way to the day-after brunch, Katie’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and love for what she does was contagious. Who would ever want to go through the whole wedding planning process again?! US—we do!…as long as we get to do it with Katie!!

Alright, let’s get into what makes Katie the actual, best wedding planner. During our initial consult, we had some vague ideas about what we wanted. Fantasies about a wedding in Montana, really. “Family-reunion style, relaxed, wildflowers, yada yada.” She listened and then jumped right in with us to help fill in the gaps of this vision; venues where people can stay, ideas about flowers, fun caterers for a welcome dinner. Mind you, this was just the consult! She didn’t waste our time showing us her fancy tools and software (which she indeed has!) or how she organizes a 4-day bonanza (which she deftly did!). She started by listening and talking with us about what we wanted.

When it was time to start reaching out to vendors, we realized we struck gold with Katie. She pretty much knows all of the vendors by first name and works efficiently to check their availability before giving us a list of great options. She flawlessly communicated details of what we wanted to each vendor. When we decided on barbecue for the welcome dinner, Katie made it so. When we decided on a floral theme, Katie gave us the best options. Oh, and when we threw her a late curve ball asked if we could get a small band, she went out to local bars and restaurants and found us an amazing four-piece band! She truly locked down the best vendors.

We put a lot on Katie’s plate—4 days, 4 meals, and a wedding—and she handled it with ease. Her master timeline for our wedding weekend was incredibly detailed and well thought out. Not once during planning did we have to sweat details like when vendors were showing up, exactly how many tablecloths we needed or how they would get packed up, etc. because of her mastery. We were exactly as involved as we wanted to be and when we added to or changed the timeline, Katie made it all work. She also let us borrow from her big assortment of items so we didn’t have to buy one-time things like a flower girl basket, card box, or picture frames.

When we finally got to the big day, Katie was the best teammate and friend and quarterback you could ask for at your wedding. How do you cut a wedding cake? Katie’s right there! We’re going to mingle at cocktail hour for an extra 15 or 20 minutes. Somehow we stayed on schedule! At the end of the night, the weddings cards were sealed up in an adorable package and there was extra wedding cake waiting for us in our room—and none of this we asked for.

We truly felt like guests at our own wedding. It was incredible. All day, getting ready, hair and make up, bridesmaids, groomsmen, family—they all kept remarking how relaxed we were (bride and groom). All thanks to Katie. She just had our backs, and we will be forever grateful that we got to be so present at our wedding. It’s hard to overstate how instrumental Katie was in making our wedding so perfect. We even had perfect weather (which Katie couldn’t have made….could she?!). Really though, this gal is the best. Thank you SO much Katie!!

We cannot say enough amazing things about Katie with Big Day Celebrations! From the very beginning, she brought such a warm, energetic presence that immediately put us at ease. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and it’s clear she genuinely loves what she does.
We were in the middle of medical school and planning our wedding from out of state, so to say we had limited time and bandwidth would be an understatement. Katie completely understood our situation and went above and beyond to make the entire process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. She kept everything organized, on track, and communicated clearly every step of the way—even across time zones and packed schedules.
Katie is incredibly organized and always three steps ahead. She anticipated our needs before we even had time to think about them. Every detail, big or small, was thoughtfully managed, and her calm, confident approach made planning feel less like a task and more like a joyful journey.
On our wedding day, Katie was an absolute rockstar. Thanks to her, everything flowed seamlessly, and we were able to be fully present, knowing everything was in the best hands. She took care of every behind-the-scenes detail, allowing us and our families to simply soak in every beautiful moment.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better planner. Katie helped make our day not only smooth and stress-free but genuinely magical. We are so grateful for her and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to bring their wedding vision to life with care, skill, and a whole lot of heart!

We cannot even begin to describe how exceptional Big Day Celebrations was in planning and executing the wedding of our dreams. Katie was an instrumental backbone to the planning, execution, and success of our wedding and made everything a breeze. Her energy and can-do attitude are unmatched - there is no problem Katie cannot solve with grace and professionalism. Aside from being the best in her field, Katie has become a dear and beloved friend. She is a genuine and kind soul and is someone we should all aspire to be more like. There is no better choice in wedding planners than Big Day Celebrations - we have and always will stand firm that hiring Katie was the best decision we made for our wedding (aside from saying "I Do"!).

Where do I begin? We met Katie after looking for a wedding planner in the valley. What immediately stood out to us was her prompt response, eagerness to understand our vision, and willingness to meet us where we were. We immediately fell in love with Katie’s upbeat personality, her warmth, her encouragement of our vision for a wedding day, and her ability to find solutions despite the wackiness of our requests. Over the months planning our wedding, she kept us on track without being pushy, made our responsibilities as easy (and fun) as humanly possible, took care of everything behind the scenes we asked for, and adapted and pivoted any and every time we asked. She never seemed flustered, overwhelmed, or annoyed. Instead, we were always met with positivity, possibility, and determination. We planned our wedding splitting time between two cities, and it became a regular routine to get together when we were in town, crank out a list of to-dos, sometimes grab a meal, but always end up happy, laughing, and content.

In the end, she executed and coordinated a flawless wedding. Every detail was looked after. Every guest left feeling as though it was the most amazing wedding. My wife and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We spent our time preparing, vowing, dancing, eating, and celebrating in the most epic day of our lives…and Katie made that happen.

We were so blown away by her, her talent, her character, and her delivery. She exceeded our expectations and our vision in every way. Words, i.e. a review, will never do justice to the gratitude we feel in our hearts from having met and hired Katie. She is hands down the best person for the job – I cannot stress that enough.

As a side note, and what we didn’t expect, was to gain an exceptional, loving, and lovable friend along the way. We are so thankful to have Katie in our lives, and it is my absolute joy to recommend her wholeheartedly without a single hesitation. If you don’t hire her, you will be missing out on her magic. And trust me, she is magic!

Katie of Big Day Celebrations is the absolute best. I can't even express how amazing she was during my entire year of wedding planning... she was always incredibly kind, helpful, knowledgable, and extremely professional. She made so many incredible suggestions throughout the planning process and helped make the planning process extremely fun, breezy, and not stressful. Our day was beautiful, fun, and we had a great team of vendors thanks to Katie's suggestions. Everyone we worked with also spoke very highly of Katie and she is very well respected within the wedding planning community. I will be FOREVER grateful for everything she did for us and am honestly sad our wedding is over now and that I'm not talking to her all the time LOL. We could not have asked for a more amazing planner for our wedding. We had a unique situation in that my (now) husband broke his leg a week before we were supposed to fly to Montana for our wedding. I reached out to Katie in a panic, in the middle of the night, when I found out he had to have surgery and we wouldn't be able to make it. She was not only understanding but went above and beyond to be flexible in helping us move our entire wedding and coordinate with photographing, cake, floral, lodging, ect to our new perfect day in July. She helped me find hair and make up when I panicked a few weeks before the new wedding date when I couldn't get my hair right myself. And probably, most importantly, she found a way to surprise us on our wedding day by bringing in a hand painted photo of our dogs. Katie is also just generally a lovely, funny, and thoughtful human and I could not recommend her enough! Thanks again :)

We hired Katie to be the day of coordinator for our wedding celebration at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. The event turned out to be even more magical than I could have possibly imagined. Katie took my vision and brought it to fruition. Her exceptional talent, attention to detail, general event knowledge, and expertise made Big Day Celebration's contributions pivotal to our perfect day. Katie was such a pleasure to work with throughout the process. She and her assistant, Mari, went above and beyond anything we could have expected from them. Our event and celebrations would have been lost without Katie and Mari's guidance and execution. If I have one thing that I would say is a must when it comes to wedding planning - I would say it would be to have a wedding coordinator such as Katie. She truly was so wonderful to work with, maybe the entire process so enjoyable, and is a mastermind at what she does. Just stop looking anywhere else for a wedding planner. My husband and I replay the day in our minds all the time because it was one of the the best times of our lives.

We started working with Katie for full wedding planning back in April of 2022 for our (destination) Flathead Lake wedding on July 1st, 2023 of around 70 guests. Katie took all the guesswork out of finding reputable vendors for our rehearsal dinner and our actual wedding. She responds to emails FAST which added to making the experience of wedding planning go so smoothly. I'm generally an indecisive person, and my husband just always says yes to every style decision so having Katie help us navigate what would look best, or fit best with our budget made things go so smoothly. Even when I'd come up with ideas just a few weeks before the wedding, she always ensured that it was possible without ever making me feel any sense of guilt about my last minute choices! She truly wants what's best for you. She gives you all the flexibility you need and the peace of mind to focus on the bigger vision you have for your day. We initially had 150+ guests invited with ultimately around 70 showing up since it's a destination wedding and she easily helped us work out the reallocation of funds to areas we could do more with! When my family's flight got cancelled from NYC, she was available at the drop of a hat to help.

She's incredibly professional, friendly, and ORGANIZED. She made an incredible agenda/timeline for the wedding weekend complete with inventory of items, music, and other details that made it so easy for all the vendors, my family, and people in my wedding party to have their marching orders! She's also incredible at prioritizing what needs to be booked when, so you get the best options available to you. And as an added bonus, she had her own items available for us to use at no added cost!

We truly felt like guests at our own wedding. It's been a little over two weeks since we were wed and our friends and family still call us just to talk about different moments from the wedding and how much fun they had. This was an incredible weekend to start
the next chapter of our lives and we 100% attribute this to Katie.
