Our facility has a ton of great photo opportunities. Also as a theatre we are able to put your information on the Marquee, roll out the red carpet and give your guests a truly special experience. We have 2 great reception locations! The Hippodrome Theatre itself and the M&T Bank Pavilion. You can have your ceremony and reception all in the same facility here.
How does your venue determine the cost of the space?
We have wedding packages that include all the necessary extra's that a couple might want but we also have a flat facility fee.
Do you offer any special services?
Yes! Theatrical Lighting, fabric draping, Theatrical Sound systems, coat check, AV, custom themed decor, Valet Services.
Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners?
A rehearsal dinner can take place in one of our many smaller spaces for a lesser charge. We have a flat facility rate for those spaces as well.
Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?
We have the perfect back drop for the ceremony. It's the Hippodrome theatre curtain! We also have small tables for ceremonys and depending on needs we can rent an arch, pillars, etc. for the couple.
Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?
Yes! Tables and Standard banquet chairs come with the space. Linens, Flatware, Glassware are provided by our exclusive caterer, Spectrum Catering. We can provide dance floors and additional rentals for an additional cost.
What is your staff-to-guest ratio?
Spectrum Catering has a 1 server to 2 tables ratio.
Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?
We do have an exclusive caterer at our facility. We also ahve a preferred vendors list but brides may bring in any vendor they choose.
Do you require the client to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is that an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians?
You may bring in your own musicians. Additional fee's may apply.
Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?
Yes! We have dressing rooms for the Bridal Party and we can also provide a private room for the family if necessary.
Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired?
Our caterer must provide all alcohol.
How many power outlets does the venue have?
We have a great deal of power outlets in our spaces.
What restrictions (if any) on decorations?
We do not allow decorations to be affixed to the walls. Votive candles are provided through our caterer.
What restrictions (if any) on photography?
None. Each couple has the opportunity to take pictures in our historic theatre.

No. We hold one wedding per day.

What is your dress code?
Our staff wear black and white theatre attire. The Catering staff will also wear black and white tux's.

Describe your bathroom facilities:
Large bathroom facilities with plenty of mirrors and stalls. Our facilities also have a sitting area and large mirror for the ladies.
Describe your parking facilities:
We have a parking garage attached to our facility that is run by the University of Maryland. This facility allows guests to enter into our Fayette Street entrance without ever having to go outside. This garage and the surrounding garages have their own fee's.
What is the maximum capacity of your venue?
500
