Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I offer retouched/digitally enhanced images with all my packages. This includes facial retouching and special enhancements such as sepia, antique looks, and other artistic touches all focused on enhancing the subject of the photograph.
How many photographers do you work with?
I photograph mainly on my own. I enjoy this because I provide a much more subtle photographic service during your wedding day, over two photographers roaming around during your event.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, I am the main photographer of heidiophoto. Unless some freak accident occurs I will be there to photograph.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I book only one wedding per day; I sometimes book two weddings per weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I have some wedding photographer pros that can fill in for me in case of emergency.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I photograph with a Canon professional equipment.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
bring a backup camera, backup lenses, and a backup flash to the even with me.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
My packages vary by the amount of hours of coverage.
Do you charge for travel?
For weddings I charge for travel out of San Diego county. For engagement sessions I charge for travel out of the city of San Diego.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
I deliver the final image files and proof album to the client 4-5 weeks after the wedding date.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
The proof album has a thumbnail print of each digital file the client receives.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
heidiophoto retains the copyright to all digital files provided to the client, however, the client can use the digital files for any personal uses, including making prints.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, I provide the client with a DVD of all the final files as high-resolution jpegs that they can then use to make prints with.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, all the images will be put on an online gallery for the clients to view and to share with their friends and family.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer a variety of albums: modern coffee table style albums with rigid pages, magazine style albums with thin pages, and traditional style albums with photo prints. I also offer a variety of specialty albums, like small favor albums, and guestbook albums.
