Describe your DJ style:
We do not play games; we let our music speak for its self. We are night club DJ's can mix different types of music together.
What is your usual attire?
We wear tuxedos or suits
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
No I will get it, but I do allow my clients to select the music of there desire. I like the music to match there personality. I stay away from stereo typical wedding music. We do respect the song choices my clients have "must play" & "don't play" lists.
How many other DJs do you work with?
Only one, once I book an event that is the only one I do. My clients expect the best and I always keep my word. No bait and switch here or used car sales man. My partner and I both are there (two DJ's and MC)
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
4 Hours is our minimum.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes I meet with every client in person and play music and create the itinerary. I handle the timeline and all MC'ing for the event. I only announce only those things that need to be mentioned. (For example Grand Intro, Toast, Cake, First Dance, Garter, and Bouquet)
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We can do any event. Our 25 years in the business have allowed me to build a music collection that is unmatched. I am Latin and I started DJ'ing because my DJ friends back in the day had no Latin music. My mom had a bridal shop so I started do weddings at the age of 15.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes all our equipment is new. We swap our equipment out every six months.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
All lighting is included do not charge extra or have package deals.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
30 min's for setup and no table needed
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No extra space is needed.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
I do emcee (Spanish or English) but do not talk between songs. We mix all of our dance music (English to Latin) 50's to 60's to 70's to 80's to Flashback to Spanish Rock to Salsa to Top 40.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No meal required
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
No breaks you need to be ready for the unexpected. During this time I am reading the crowd while folks are having dinner or cocktails. So when we start dancing I all ready have an idea of what music the guest would dance too.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes we carry two systems with us at all times. We play off laptops (2) and CD's so we have three backups.
What is your overtime rate?
We charge the same hourly rate the whole night. I do not raise prices for overtime.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Nope this is all included. We only charge from the time the reception starts till it ends. No charge for setup or drive time.
