I absolutely loved working with DJ Josh for our wedding. He is highly professional and organized-I really love the system he uses for song requests and wedding details-it made everything super easy and actually fun to fill out. I also really loved his follow up emails that periodically sent a wedding checklist that helped me stay on track. Everything on the big day went seamlessly. I am also an event producer and will definitely be working with Josh again on my events!

Josh is a top-notch, classy DJ. In our first meeting, he said "I am here to DJ the wedding that YOU two want," and he did exactly that. Not only was he a fantastic DJ, he was helpful all along the planning process. The web portal gave us so much control over the playlists. The reminder emails were quite useful. And I really appreciated his DJ style- he only hopped on the mic when something needed to get done or attention needed to be directed somewhere. And when it comes to the music, he blended tracks seamlessly. I can't recommend Josh enough.

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ than Events By Josh for our wedding. From start to finish, Josh was professional, attentive, and completely in tune with the vibe we wanted for our big day. Josh was so organized and friendly from the very beginning. He really cares about what you want for your ceremony and reception. He has an amazing process to help you pick music, vibes, timing, etc. I’m so glad we had the chance to work with him. He was also so flexible when we had a last minute venue change and was so reassuring that everything would turn out perfectly. He had everything we needed from start to finish. He truly went above and beyond! We especially love that he took so many photos for us (without us asking him to) and shared them all the day after our wedding! He’s so kind and great at what he does.

We had an excellent experience working with Josh. In the lead up to the wedding, he was responsive, gave great advice, and was really invested in creating the wedding that we wanted. Josh knows what he's doing when it comes to weddings, so we gave him our timeline, and he kept things moving from one part of our wedding to the next. Even without a wedding planner or coordinator, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing that Josh was guiding our guests from ceremony to cocktail hour, to toasts, dinner, dancing, cake, and on to more dancing! He was flexible and able to make changes in the moment, and we and our guests had so much fun! It was truly a wonderful night, and we couldn't be happier with our choice to work with Josh.

Going into the process for the first time (obviously) we had a hard time assessing DJ's for our wedding. You can get a general sense from reviews of whether someone has done a good job and is experienced, but I don't think you can get the full picture of Josh's abilities from those.
He sets up your personal event website which allows you to easily plan your event out, from what songs you want to walk down to the aisle to, to what songs you want at cocktail hour vs. dancing. He lets you give guidance on when to start and stop each of the songs at the key events, but also gives recommendations on when to do so, and he generally has the best plan.

He also honored our request to wear a tuxedo for our Old Hollywood glam theme, and had the time to take some phone photos at key moments even while he kept the music rolling! He was extremely organized and kept track of the schedule and made sure to track us down for the few times we weren't on the dance floor to make sure we were ready to proceed to the next scheduled event (like a Greek dance!).
In summary we felt he did a terrific job balancing our wishes and vision with his suggestions from his vast professional experience. In his words, "A lot of DJ's can play a great set, but this is your day and your wedding".

Josh DJ’d our wedding in early June. Working with Josh leading up to the wedding it was clear he was a very organized and experienced professional. He had a great portal that allowed us to create “preferred” songs for cocktail hour and dancing. We had a very detailed meeting before the wedding that made us very confident in him. At the wedding, Josh figured out how to add on an extra hands free microphone we had brought last minute for our officiant as well as a wireless mic for us to say our vows. Josh also went above and beyond and was willing to MC a trivia game for us (which we did in lieu of speeches) which ended up being so fun! During the dance party, Josh was very in tune to the vibe of our guests and played the perfect songs (even outside of our requested songs) and made our dance party the most fun! We had very briefly considered just making a playlist instead of hiring a DJ but Josh picked excellent songs based on the atmosphere of the crowd (which a playlist obviously can’t do) making it so much more fun. Josh also was essential in managing the microphones and sound for the ceremony and the overall flow of the wedding. Hiring a professional DJ, and more specifically Josh, allowed us to relax and not worry about those details on our wedding day. Josh also took a ton of pictures and videos for us throughout the night and sent them to us after the wedding! This was such a special touch and so great to have more photos while we wait for the photos from our photographer. We are so happy with how our wedding turned out and would absolutely hire Josh again!

Josh is a phenomenal DJ. We hired him for our wedding and the event was hailed as (not just one of the best weddings) but as one of the best parties our guests had ever attended. Josh took our music preferences and added to them, making our reception incredibly high energy and fun. Pretty much everyone was up and dancing the entire time.

In terms of organization, Josh is incredibly attentive and communicative. He learns about you in order to run your event perfectly tailored to who you are and what you want. The entire process was very personalized and we felt very taken care of.

I booked Josh to dj at my wedding. He was very professional and organized. We booked him with short notice and he was able to accommodate us. He showed up when he said he would, he set up promptly and was extremely easy and enjoyable to work with. His experience in his field really shows and I would love to get married again and have him there. It was that good a time!
