About
A sense of elegance and genuine appreciation for family bond plus cutting edge state of the art equipment will result in a classy yet fun  musical atmosphere for you and your guests.

Ed has an often imitated, but never duplicated eloquent and unique style. Your guests WILL notice the difference.

By NOT behaving like typical DJs that do weddings, your event will be classy and elegant. However, you & your guests will dance and have fun - and your guests will thank you, over and over.

"We couldn't stop thinking about how much fun we had", and "Your DJ was elegant yet fun" are the most overheard comments from guests.

All of this without the chicken dance, YMCA, or Celebration.

"Your DJ didn't act like a DJ (like my stupid one did)...but instead, he was behind the scenes and a class act. I think he was one of the best parts of your wedding!." - A guest from Danielle Bianchi's wedding at the Ronald Reagan & ITC

Unobtrusive wedding music services for Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.

What a pleasure to work with Ed! He is friendly, charming and personable and knows how to keep the party going! I am most impressed with how Ed goes above and beyond the call of duty; upon request of his bride, he provided us with audio recordings of the entire reception. No one had ever done this for us before! It meant that in addition to having the special songs the bride and groom chose for themselves (we usually have to ask our brides for this after the event), we also had a backup recording of all the speeches and toasts. Although this wasn't necessary, it was a very nice option to have and a great safety net for anyone wanting the best possible audio. I look forward to working with Ed again and again and recommend him highly to any bride!
Great DJ! One of the best that I've worked with when shooting weddings in the DC area.
Ed is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is extremely professional and courteous, and I was highly impressed with his organization and efficiency. I know my clients feel the same way, as he goes above and beyond to ensure that every reception is a success. It is a true honor to work alongside him, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for their reception!
Great selection of music. Professional service. We recommend them highly for any wedding or special event!
Ed is wonderful. Sincere and professional, a pleasure to work with!

Frequently Asked Questions for DJ
What music genres are in your collection?
50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, Acoustic, Big Band, Classic Rock, Classical, Country, Dance, Folk, Funk, Gospel, Hip Hop, Jazz, Motown, Oldies, Orchestra, Pop, Punk Rock, R&B, Rock, Soul, Strings, Swing, World

Do you have liability insurance?
Yes

Describe your DJ style:
Distinctive and stylish. Very low key. Only speak when appropriate. Do not mingle with guests.

What is your usual attire?
Suit and tie.

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
Within reason. If very obscure (like Indie), I ask the client to provide. Everything else, I will obtain.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
3 hours.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes.

Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
While I don't specialize per se, I do have a lot of experience with many ethnic cultures - esp multi faith events. Jewish/Indian/Latin/Polish/Irish/Vietnamese/Chinese/Greek to name a few.

Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. Very inconspicuous and neat. Banquet captains all the time comment on how little space I take up - yet how awesome it sounds.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
No optional lighting or effects. I do, however, have a LCD projector and screen for rental.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
Basic ballroom setups take 20-30 min. More complex setups that require multi room speakers might take an hour or so. Time that you are NOT charged for. I only have one requirement - AC power. And in some cases, I bring my own. I also bring my own table and skirting.

Do you have any extra space requirements?
No. In fact, because of my small footprint, your banquet manager can probably arrange the room better - in case you have many more guests. Have your banquet captain contact me.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
MC yes - chat during songs? No. Again, only speak when appropriate - nothing more.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
No. It is appreciated but not required. I just ask that you tell me in advance.

Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
Yes. Unless directed by you, the music never stops.

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Of course. In over 15 years, I have not missed a single wedding event. I take your special day very seriously.

What is your overtime rate?
$175/half hour. Many times, first half hour is free (if asked nicely).

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Rates are built in to my fee. I do ask that if over 90 miles and the event ends late, you put me up for the night.
