Who is the first person you told about your engagement?

Our parents! They knew it was coming and were waiting for the call!

It was a pretty public engagement in front of both families and both friends. I guess the 1st person I told outside of that was an old college buddy of mine via WhatsApp

My mom. She was the first person who picked up the phone!

It was just us, our daughters and neice, so we put it on Facebook and told everyone that way. We had a few people who were disappointed that they weren't part of it.

Our two best friends were in on the plan for the day, so after them we called his parents.

One of my best friends as well as my family all knew about it so the first person I told after them was my out of town best friend who is also my maid of honor!

The first person I shared the news with was a really long distance cousin/all time best friend. I am also planning on asking her to be my maid of honor, but she doesn't know that. After that was my parents.

Everyone, family and friends were there. it was public, and everyone knew he was planning it other than me lol. After that I told my co-worker.

We told his mom first, we told everyone we were telling from oldest to youngest to avoid any 'why'd you tell me last' comments.
