Who is the first person you told about your engagement?

We got engaged in Madrid, but my FH had it broadcast on FB live, so everyone was watching. He had been planning for about 5 months so they all knew when to watch. I did call my mom later that night and text my best friends

All of my family knew already, but the first people I directly told were four of my best friends who are going to be my maid of honor and bridesmaids! Afterwards, I was able to tell my sister, my aunt, my mom, then my dad in person.

My sister was the first person i told, BUT apparently i was the only one who knew nothing about this engagement. My mom,sister,and Dad knew about it the whole time.

It was my mom. She asked me was it a promise ring or did a he ask you the question after I sent her a picture of my ring.

My parents, his parents, my little sisters (one of whims helped with the ring selection), and our lowest group of friends!

My teenager was the very first. He was so excited for me and that made the telling of everyone else feel so much more full of joy.

We were the only ones to know about it for 24 hours and it was sooo special! except I was chatting with bridesmaid 5 about her wedding (which was upcoming at that time) and she suspected something while we were on our trip but made no mention! then we drove to my parents house to tell them and my dad was gone! but we told my mom and brother and then went to my fiance's parents house for his sister's surprise birthday and told everyone before she got there so they were excited about her surprise instead of our engagement once she got there!

I was definitely excited to announce to my eldest daughter of our engagement and my other three children.

We had a few family members with us for the engagement, but the first people I called were my best friend and my dad.
