Click on each linked discussion below to share your answer and tell us if you're saying "I do" or "I'm ditching" to these wedding traditions:

Sleeping separately the night before the wedding?

Something old, new, borrowed, and blue?

Wearing a veil?

Father escorting you down the aisle?

Bride standing on the left side?

Traditional wedding party?

Parent dances?

The bouquet toss?

The garter toss?

The cake cutting?

Carrying over the threshold?

Registering for china?

Sleeping separately the night before the wedding?

    No.

Something old, new, borrowed, and blue?

    Yes.

    Wearing a veil?

    Undecided.

Father escorting you down the aisle?

    Yes.

Bride standing on the left side?

    Yes.

    Traditional wedding party?

    Probably not.

    Parent dances?

    Yes.

    The bouquet toss?

No. I don't think any of our guests will be single except one.

    The garter toss?

Heck no. That's just tacky to me. No one needs to see that much of my leg at my wedding.

    The cake cutting?

    Yes... Cheesecake that is!

    Carrying over the threshold?

No way! He has back problems. We might jump over the threshold though in place of it.

    Registering for china?

No. It's not like we host fancy dinners. We're clumsy. Besides, I have heirloom china packed away in the closet that hasn't seen the light of day since before I was even born.

Our whole wedding is nontraditional. We're getting married on Halloween, I'm not having any bridesmaids or groomsmen, no flower girl or ring bear either.

We are doing all except the last 2. As far as the bridal party, we kept it small....my sister as MOH and fiance's brother as best man.
