Are you registering for china? Or ditching this tradition?

I inherited two sets I didnt really want in the first place....so I need more like I need a lobotomy! Lol

We already have some China so definitely Ditching that from our registry.

We did register for china. We went in with the intention of skipping it, but once I saw the Kate Spade polka dot pattern I was hooked!

Ditched having a registry. No need for extra stuff; we already live together.

Probably not, unless he really wants some, which I doubt.

Nope. I would never use it. We got nice serving ware that we really needed, but no China.

No fine china for us! We would never use it. We did register for regular plates so that we can maybe have a matching set instead of the goodwill, mismatched plates we have now but no fine china.

Ditched it. We registered for regular places but no china. We 1) have no place to store china that is only used on special occasions and 2) don't host enough occasions to need any china.

I have two sets already I never use. Seems like a waste to me.

I've already inherited some that I don't use so no registering for china for us.

View Quoted Comment One set my stepmom was saving for my wedding present and after I had a failed engagement at age 21 she decided to go ahead and give it to me. She was trying to be nice but it was a little insulting. And then the other set was my grandmothers and she died. They are packaged up.

Yes, I registered for fine china at Macy's and was so excited someone gave me the entire set! I like to use fine china several times per year so it will definitely be used in my house!

We did register for it, I love throwing dinner parties and I think it would be nice to have. Beyond that, my family is already saying that our house will be the house they are going to have holidays at, so I think we'll need it more in the future.

No i'm not. i'm not registering for anything. This is a second marriage for both of us and we really have all we need.

We are ditching it, we don't see the point. We would never use it. I would never use a plate I was afraid of dropping. We are doing usual dishes since our are like 15 years old. Now pots and pans are our big ticket items. Even if we dont receive them we will probably buy them.
