Are you registering for china? Or ditching this tradition?

We registered for a decent Lenox set that’s still sturdy enough for daily use. ...and then for a kick, we registered for two place settings of kind of over-the-top fine fine that FH loved. I love to cook, and I thought it would be fun for dates at home! We both really enjoy being able to use pretty things in day to day life. And if something breaks, oh well. At least we had fun using it! Somewhat to my chagrin, the only dishware we’ve received thus far are sixteen place settings of plain white ‘everyday dish ware’ that wasn’t on our registry and we really don’t have room for.

Nope.... we have lived together for 4 years we didn't even do a registry cause we have a complete household...

No fine china for us! We don't have any, and don't need any....too fancy for our tastes. Maybe one day, but not on our radar for now. We mainly registered for some upgrades, a few wanted appliances, and camping gear.

I am registering for my bridal shower only and having a wishing well reception.

Oh, over the top place settings, that is such a cute idea, Kate! I would have never thought about date night settings, but that's a really awesome idea!!

I can't see spending THAT much for dishes that will only sit around collecting dust......besides, my fiance is a bull in a china shop, they would be broke in no time....lol

We have not registered for china because my mother gave us hers as an engagement present. My mother had, in turn, received it as an engagement gift my my great grandmother.

Registering for fine china wasn't even on our minds. It'd be totally impractical since we don't really see ourselves hosting a lot of dinner parties and whatnot. Only register for if if you see yourselves using it

We both tend to drop dishes so...pass on this

I don't think I plan to put china on my registry.

Ditching. I have some beautiful china still in the box that hasn't come out.

LOL, same, I think it's a great reason to keep expensive, fragile things out of the house.

That's solid reasoning as well. Do you have enough plates for the occasional guest you'll have over?

Yes! I have a set of nicer but simple white ceramic dinnerware as a back up 4 big plates, 4 small plates, 4 big bowls, 4 little bowls
