Are you doing or ditching the something old, new, borrowed, or blue tradition?

Jayla, on January 15, 2019 at 11:05 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 91

Will you be adding something old, blue, borrowed, or new to your wedding day attire? If so, how?

Are you saying “I do” to this tradition or ditching it?

Thank you, next (tradition): the veil?

Back to the beginning: Which wedding traditions are you ditching?

Yeah, I am. It happened pretty easily and it was not something I was going to stress over. Something old- my bouquet will be wrapped in material from my late great aunts dress (which was made by her sister/my grandma), new- my dress/veil/other accessories lol, borrowed- I'll be wearing my sisters earrings that she wore for her wedding, blue- my shoes.

I'm not planning to do this. My mom really wants me to though so if she provides all the items sure but I'm not going out of my way to do this.

I did old, new & blue, but no borrowed. New was my necklace, old was my vintage wedding band, and blue was my shoes.

I don’t know what I can borrow. I already have jewelry and shoes and a veil, and that is usually what people borrow.

I did it but only because it happened pretty naturally. I didn't put a lot of thought or effort into having something old (hankie all the women in my family used wrapped around my bouquet), new (dress & veil), borrowed (toasting flutes) and blue (shoes).

I wasn't planning on worrying about it but it just kind of happened. My dress and shoes are new, my veil will be borrowed from one of my bridesmaids and my mom has a button that was he grandmothers so I'm going to sew it into my dress as my something old and it's also blue so it counts for both!

Probably will not do it because it's just a couple more things to be stressed out about finding! I'll pass.

I'm not sure. I know i'll have my something old, i'm going to probably wear the jewelry my late mom wore when she married my late father in 1966. My way of having them with me. Something new would be my dress..I probably won't wear a garter. I'm not sure about the something borrowed. Don't have anyone to borrow anything from

Technically I am, but it wasn't necessarily something I was shooting for. Everything I had already planned fell into those categories!

Yes, I am borrowing a purse, I am putting pieces of our grandmothers jewelry in my bouquet for the old and my garter is blue.
