Are you doing or ditching the something old, new, borrowed, or blue tradition?

Will you be adding something old, blue, borrowed, or new to your wedding day attire? If so, how? Are you saying “I do” to this tradition or ditching it? I am planning on it, but the only thing I have planned so far is my blue shoes!

I'm doing it simply because I believe in old wives tales. I think itll be good luck. I'm going to borrow my step mothers blue sapphire earrings or necklace. My shoes will be new and blue. I just something old

Totally keeping this one. I even got a sixpense for my shoe. My shoes will be new. I will replace the laces with a blue ribbon, my sixpense is old (1942, the year my maternal gandparents were married) and I still need to figure out my borrowed item.

I have a scrap from one of my dad's old tshirts (he passed away 10 years ago) that I will have seen into my dress as my something old.
My garter will be my something blue.
My dress is my something borrowed, as it was my mom's when she married my dad.
My necklace will be my something new.

I’m doing it, mostly because I’m already nearly there and because I think it’s fun.

Old- I am planning on cutting a heart out of a shirt that belonged to my late aunt, who was a secondary mother to me. I may change this, but I will have something of her with me, for sure.

    New- Dress/shoes

Borrowed- I haven’t fully decided, but I’m hoping to borrow some jewelry from my grandmother. She has some amazing jewelry and I don’t wear much regularly and don’t want to spend a lot of money on things I’m not going to use again.

Blue- I know my garter will be blue and if I can find blue shoes that I like, they will be, and flowers probably.

I am also getting a sixpence for my shoe.

Keeping this tradition but with a purple twist instead of blue. Something old is my grandmothers ring, New is my dress, borrowing decorations from mom-in-law, something blue/purple are my shoes! So fun! Smiley sexy

I'm not sure about old or new or borrowed, but I am having a unique "something blue". I'm only having my MoH and one bridesmaid, so all of the special ladies that would have been bridesmaids will wear a blue dress (not matching) and will be in the procession, but they'll sit in the front row instead of standing up with me.

I am way too superstitious to pass on this very Celtic tradition........ I'm also of course putting a penny in my shoe! I'm unsure of all my items but you know as well as I do that I will NOT walk down any aisle without that bit of spare change stuck securely in my stiletto!
