My dress was 689 on sale (Was off the rack). Exact dress I wanted. My Fiance and I decided on a budget of no more than 1500.00.... The original cost of my dress was 2400. The alterations that I am going to need is going to cost me no more than 150.00
Mine was $2300. Worth every penny. We had the dress shortened so I can wear it again - thinking of dying it another color. Also, the excess from the bottom will be made into a christening dress.
My dress is $1,500 (Casablanca). Plus $300 for alterations. Fortunately my Mom is paying for it. However I did not want to exceed $2k considering I am only wearing the dress one time. There are gorgeous gowns that don't cost a fortune.
My budget was $1,500-$2,000. The dress I fell in love with was only $700!!!! All the more reason to love it. I also got a $200 veil; bringing my total to $900 without alterations. Yay for saving money
I got my dream Casablanca dress for $975 at a trunk show! Since I bought the dress in NJ, there was also no sales tax.
I would highly recommend researching tax rates (they generally differ by county) because that could also save you a nice percentage (it adds up on such a big purchase). In addition, many trunk shows offer 10-20% off the dress collection being featured, and sometimes even a % off all other dresses in the store. Good luck!
My dress cost me $700... maybe cuz I live in Canada? still haven't done any alterations on it yet but that's estimated for about $100 (very little needs to be done) what startled me was the $250 for the veil and also found my shoes at 50% off and paid just $80
I paid $774 on sale (originally $849) from David's Bridal and I've been quoted about $200 for alterations. I had a dress budget of $1000 and was very happy to stay under that.
I had checked a few local bridal shops hoping to find 'the one', and decided to try David's as well. Turns out, that's where I found it! I love the lace on it!
Mine was 1500 after taxes, before alterations. It's a Morilee by Madeline Gardner you will definitely find something you love in that budget. I recommend being less attached to the name though-I really liked Maggie Sotero online but ended up not loving one in person!

$1,500 for my dress and veil at Alfred Angelo! They have a HUGE selection and samples in all sizes so you can try something on that's close to your size. Haven't gotten alterations but I've been told they could be around 200-300$
