Mine was $399 brand new! Everything I wanted, A-lined, bussell train, beading, etc. I got it at David's Bridal & the fit is almost exact...just needs to be hemmed 2inches! You CAN get a fabulous brand new dress.
I was willing to pay up to 5k for mine, but found one that I loved for $1300! It was Allure Romance and absolutely stunning. You don't have to spend a fortune to get a beautiful dress.
My dream dress was $1700, the one I purchased was $279 from a sample sale!!!! In my opinion, it's silly to spend a lot on a dress I will wear ONCE. I used the rest of the money to put towards our photographer.
Mine is a $1600ish Wtoo gown - but I got it at a trunk show this past weekend for a little over $1350. Then of course, there is the $300 "fat girl tax" Watters likes to stick on all their gowns over a size 14 (-____-) so It ended up around $1800 with tax/shipping and some extra colored tulle we're going to add to the skirt.
I didnt expect I would be able to get that particular gown because of the price (I had been looking at some cheaper versions in similar cuts instead, but hadnt found anything that worked), but my mom surprised me at my appointment by offering to pay once she saw me in the dress, which I NEVER expected and was so incredibly wonderful and generous of her.
Alterations will probably run around $300-500 - I'm short waisted and very pear shaped, so the bodice will need shortened and taken in, plus the pink tulle added to the skirt. My mom is making my veil, and I'm making my flower crown.
I got my dress, veil, and undergarments all for $1050 from David's Bridal. thankfully I didn't need any alterations and I hope I won't seeing that my wedding isn't until March.
My dress was $526 (weird #, right?) but the $250 alterations were included in the pricing quoted, so overall it was $776. It's a Mori Lee dress (LOVE the designer) I found in a small Washington, MO shop. Best of luck!
I was definitely on a budget, and didn't try on any dresses that were outside of my budget. I ended up finding a beauitful dress for $210. I absolutely love it, and it was under budget for me.
I spent 1,099. and I was over budget I only budgeted 900-1,000 for my dress and now I have to still pay for alterations :/ I got my dress at New Natalie's after not having luck at Winnie Couture, Anaya Bridal or David's bridal
I went to Wendy's Bridal in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The dress was a $900 Casablanca, with the cathedral veil, alterations, and a sash, it came to $1300.
I spent $2,600 on my dress. But my fiancée and I are paying for everything ourselves and I've been saving up for years. It's my absolute dream dress. I got it from Winnie Couture in Atlanta and all the girls at the shop were fantastic and so helpful.
My dress was Allure Couture with a price of $2100 but I got a discount for purchasing on the first day and that brought it down to $1800. Fingertip veil was an extra $170 on top of that.
I got my Jenny Packham for $5000. Went a teeny bit over what I was expecting but then again, I've always adored Jenny Packham's designs and I fell in love with my dress...so that's what I got
My original dress was 1100 that's until I went to my first bridal show a won a free wedding dress voucher up to 800 dollars at brides of America so now I have a Mori lee gown in which I paid 0.00 for and I haven't done my alterations yet because my dress doesn't come bck until April
Mine is a Morilee dress. Fell in love with it and it was 1800 original but after discount at the time it came to 1200. But then I bought a 600 veil. Lol. I like to think that I got the veil free with purchase of dress since it came out to original price of dress anyway lol.
