What amount did you spend on your wedding dress? (You don't have to answer)

I spent $1095 on the dress and over $500 in alterations.

I'm hoping to spend less than $2,000 on my dress and a cape (if appropriate and looks good... I wanna be dramatic).


My fiance has told me not to think about cost and get the best and what I feel/ look good in. I told him okay and that I won't go over $6,000, but I really don't plan to get anywhere near that.

Mine was around 450 i think from davids i did the sample sale and got a brand spanking new not used one to boot. the veil was 250 but a friend insisted that was her wedding gift to me. i am anticipating about 300 in alterations.
