What amount did you spend on your wedding dress? (You don't have to answer)

I'm a budget bride and was curious as to what other brides spent on their dress. I'm hoping to find something under $1200.00.

I bought my first dress brand new from a bridal salon on Still White. It is a stunning Maggie Sottero that I I paid $400 for. However, I never got to try it on and did not love it on me as much as I did the mannequin.

My second ( and final ) dress I bought from an off the rack store on a "Freaky Friday the 13th" sale. It is a GORGEOUS Bonnie Bridal gown that was originally $1500 the off the rack sample price was $999. I got it at the sale for $300! $170 for alterations and it is still a heck of a deal.

I spent $300 (not including alterations) on a Steven Birnbaum dress (original price tag $3k). Found it at a sample sale. It fits like a glove but will need to be shortened.

I’ve been extremely blessed with my parents who wanted to but my wedding dress for me, giving me a budget of $3,500. My dress was under that around $2,000 & Veil was $500. I feel so grateful and I hope you are able to find your dream dress, I have no doubt about it!

I have two dresses that I am trying to decide between. They both came from David's Bridal. One dress was about $70, the other was $140.

Dress was $400 new froms DB, then I bought a $250 topper and a $40 topper to cover my shoulders. I can't decide which I'm going to wear with it. There was a $60 slip as well as alterations. Money wasn't even an issue I just loved the dress. My budget was like...$4000, but I am just a practical person and decided I'd rather not. I am going to wear it in July. Smiley smile

I actually did alot of research before purchasing a gown. I 1st tried on dresses at the request of my daughter. I true on one I liked but it didn't give me that bridal moment and it was $900. I then attended a bridal show for the sole purpose of finding a dress. 1st rule is set your budget. 2nd know what you like so your not wasting your time. 3rd shop around bridal shows sell samples at 1/2 the cost. I ended up finding my dress and had that bridal moment with my sisters/ bridesmaids and daughter/bridesmaid. The dress Pronovias Esmerald regular price $2900. I bought it for $1400. $100 under my budget. I just need to fix the buttons on the back but the dress is in perfect condition and a beautiful ivory color. I got my dress off the rack for about $900 with a $99 clean up package so it was about $1000 at the end. But the dress was originally about $1700 so I think it was a pretty good deal!

The dress itself i spend $20 on ($30 +s/h). The accessories to tie it together i spend about $40 on. So all together $70.
The dress is simplistic, but works perfectly for our lakefront wedding.

I'm ordering from Amazon and they offer custom sizing so I'm hoping it won't need alterations. The 2 dresses I like are $80 and $140. I'm waiting until about a month before to order since I'm working on losing weight.

The actual cost of this stunning Sophia Tolli beauty was about $3,500, however right before I made my deposit my dress dropped in cost due to no longer in season if I’m saying it correctly. So I ended up
Getting it like a trunk sale and paid about $1,600.00 and the veil was breathtaking.
