Mine was $350. It was a little more than 50% off retail. I haven't did alterations yet though. I got mine previously worn through Brides for a Cause. They did a road show and came to my area.

I spent $700 for a beautiful tulle a-line gown from David's Bridal that was my dream dress. Never be afraid of clearance, you may find your dream dress!
I got my Mori Lee for 1300 and I was shocked because I was expecting it to be a lot more with how beautiful it is! I'm confident you will find a dress you love with your budget!!
Alfred Angelo was by far the best. I looked all over and tried on so many dresses both on the cheap side ($99.00) and the expensive side ($2,500). When I found an Alfred Angelo location close by I went there, the staff was friendly and professional and just excellent, and, I found my dress... I ended up paying only $800.00 for by far the most elegant flattering dress I had seen. The other cool thing about Alfred Angelo is, you will be the only one to have ever worn or tried on your dress. You try on the sample there. If you love it they take your measurements and custom make it for you. When it comes in it was made for you you may have some slight alterations if you fluctuate but other than that...perfect. If you have a location nearby you should definitely check it out.
You could check out preownedweddingdresses.com not all the dresses are used. Some are from brides who changed their mind and we're stuck with their dresses. Vows in Watertown, MA sells discontinued and sample gowns and has listed right on their website what they have in stock. I believe both websites allow you to search by designer and size, and also style if you have one in mind. Best of luck finding your dream gown!!

I live in Indiana & purchased my dream dress for $690 and some change. It was originally priced at $777 (seven just so happens to be my favorite number. I didn't look at the price before I tried the gown on) it is a full satin ball gown with POCKETS!!!! I love it.
I bought mine for $1150. Vail and accessories $385. Haven't had alterations done yet but super excited! I thought my dress was spendy enough, but it is so unique and perfect for me that I was willing to spend the extra penny. And I have a hope that maybe one day my little girl will want to wear it for hers
I spent $1200 on my dress - which was within budget. The estimate I got for alterations was $700+ - which was above my budget. No matter where or what dress you choose, make sure you think about alterations costs when setting the dress budget!
