Did you pay top dollar for your dream wedding venue? Or did you choose somewhere with a unbeatable price?

We ended up going with a venue much more reasonably priced than the extravagant venue we toured first. But we love it, the people who own are so nice, it's closer to all of our guests, and we got to save money!

Save. We love our venue, but it wasn't our first choice.

Save and splurge. The original venue we thought we wanted we didn't tour once we found out our dream venue was within the budget and my parents are helping us pay for the venue.

A bit of a splurge but our venue included a ton of stuff (catering, bar, DOC, set up/break down etc) so it saved us from having to hire more outside vendors.

Splurge! But also save because it was $1,000 less than what we originally budgted for.

It feels like a splurge since it’s still $3500 + a $500 refundable damage deposit, but after hearing what other people are spending. And seeing what other places around here are charging (especially for the mountains) it’s fairly reasonably priced.

A mix. Our venue was all inclusive so there were little things we did splurge on but we did save overall by choosing the place we did

Our venue was kind of a splurge. Not the most expensive venue we looked at, but the most expensive vendor for our wedding.

Save, we’re going with a space that I like, but isn’t my first choice. It was just the cheapest by far of the spaces I liked.

Splurge. Although we didn't actually "splruge" planning an elopment in 7weeks, our "venue" setting was the most important.

We slurped because it ended up being all inclusive and we love it.. everything is at one place so we don’t have to drive and leave to go to another place for the reception

Save. $300 (give or take) for pavilion for and permit to have it catered. Beach for the ceremony is free. I just hope people stay out of the way and don’t photobomb us!

We saved on the venue... we picked a location that varied in pricing depending on the season and based our date off of one of their lower priced seasons (May). Its an apple orchard so fall is much higher priced, and warmer months that are more popular are higher too.

WE have stuck pretty close to our budget on this one. WE had to change the venue this week actually due to the original venue's new wedding planners attitude towards myself and planning my wedding. We actually saved money changing venues Smiley smile

Splurge. We spent about twice as much as I originally wanted to, but it’s still really not bad compared to a lot of places, and it came with a very reasonably priced caterer.

Splurge. I live in the south, and most of what we have are barn type venues. That was NOT what I wanted. We splurged and picked a newer venue that is all white and absolutely beautiful. It was expensive, but we got a pretty good deal since we booked while they were running a grand opening special.

Technically save because it was $20 less per person than our previous venue and it had a 50 person lower minimum.
