Venue - Splurge or Save?

Saving!! We are having it at his best friend’s parents’ house. He basically grew up there too and they have had a wedding there before so THEY OFFERED. It was honestly the nicest thing and I am so happy and lucky to be having my wedding in a dream location and it’s not breaking the bank.

In between.

It's a mix of both, I guess. I got my dream venue but unfortunately it doesn't come with any vendors.

I'd like to think save! Our venue (for 150 people) is going to be about $8,500 and that includes middle shelf liquor, photographer, wedding cake, DJ, and food! It's a super pretty venue. That price is with white chair covers and uplighting included!

Splurged. Almost 10k on a venue alone ... 😣

Save! We LOVE our venue, but it wasn't our first choice. It's beautiful, though!

Save! - my fiance works at a hotel, so we got their meeting space for free to hold our reception. Our wedding is at an outdoor park, and only spending $200 for 4 hrs.

It feels like we splurged on a venue but it's all-inclusive so we end up saving a little bit in the end.

We have our dream wedding venue, and didn't pay a dime for it 😁 (his parents house by his favorite tree, which was the only thing he asked for in the whole wedding)

We ended up with the venue we both wanted but are saving $4k-$5k by having an early ceremony and reception.

We splurged a bit for ours because we wanted to be on the beach so we found a nice hotel where we could do the reception after the beach wedding.

In my eyes we saved on our venue. We are having both our ceremony and reception at this venue. It is a brand new barn and this year is the first they've had weddings. Barn weddings are pretty popular where I live and the other venue we were considering is twice the cost for the same thing. When we found this place we jumped on it. It's the only place we looked at but I love it so much so we went for it.

Splurge! Our venue (fees and in-house food and beverage minimum) was almost $20k higher than our second choice option. We were hesitant, but our families liked our final venue much better and financially helped out overall. ☺️

Save. The venue we chose had everything included and it was an unbeatable price

Splurge. It is a beautiful venue. The first one we visited!
