Quick Planning On a Budget

Natalie, on January 24, 2020 at 9:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

Hi ladies- we are getting married July 11, 2020. For various reasons, a lot of the wedding planning got put aside. I am looking for tips on how you cut cost in certain areas, and planned a beautiful wedding in a short time frame. We booked our venue several months ago, and.. that's about it. Lol. We are getting married in a church in our hometown and the reception will follow at a nice venue about 6 miles from the church. We need catering ideas, we want a nice party for the reception, etc. Any ideas or input is greatly appreciated! Smiley smile

I would start contacting caterers and photographers ASAP. They tend to book up quickly. So they should be the next things that you book. Many vendors offer discounts if you good within 6 months of your wedding, so ask about that since you are coming up on 6 months! Also, make sure you start looking for a dress soon if you have not already! Dresses can take several months to come in. You could save money by buying off the rack and it would also save a lot of time.

I tell friends now that A simple wedding is way better. So cut back on decor and skip favors. Basically just don't do things that aren't necessary. As a host we think it makes for a better party with more details but in all honesty the guests won't notice as much as we think

    Hey there, Natalie!

My number one tip in planning a wedding in a short time is to start reaching out to vendors as soon as possible. As the PP mentioned, dates can fill up pretty quickly so if you wish to have a photographer, videographers, etc, prioritize getting those booked as soon as possible.

Do you have a wedding dress/outfit yet?
