Question - What are YOU giving for Bridesmaids Gifts?

Rhonda, on October 31, 2012 at 5:04 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 67

Hello Ladies - I've learned to turn to my fellow Brides for everything! You ladies are so darn creative and really help to put things into perspective. My wedding is a little over 4 months away and I need to decide what I'll be giving to my bridesmaids as gifts.

Please share with me your plans and any other great ideas you might have.

Thanks in advance for your help!

R

I'm doing Vera Bradley tote bags in our wedding colors with their names embroidered on the outside. I also bought them a clutch to use at the wedding and I may pay for their jewelry (cheaper Forever 21 jewelry that was like, $2.80/earring set). I got the bags on clearance and the clutches at Charming Charlie. I am also making them the wire name hangers. I'll put it together really cute in their vera bradley bag and give it to them the night of the rehearsal dinner Smiley smile

We got our BP's shoes (Converses), and my girls got tote bags, Scrabble tile pendants, fabric flip flops and key fob wristlets (for keys, with different ribbons to suit each girl.)

I only have one. I'm giving my MOH a clutch that will double as her "bouquet" and perhaps her jewelry for the day.

I have just one MOH (second wedding) and got her a beautiful silk Kimono-style robe in a print with colors that match the wedding (like this pic but shorter). We are doing a spa day with some other friends rather than a bachelorette party. Can't decide whether I will give it to her before then so she can show it off, or if I should hold off until the rehearsal brunch.

Depending on room in my budget I might do clutches as well with a day of schedule, lip gloss and a small "emergency kit".

I am also giving my bridesmaids Tote bags but I am making them spcially designed for them with their initials. I bought them their jewlery sets and am buying them flip flops to wear for the reception. The emergency kits will be included in the totes and each bridesmaid got a hand painted cocktail glass for their drinks at the reception.

I'm broke so I've got a lot of DIY- I bought their jewelry and I'm making them barefoot sandals for the ceremony, flip flops for the reception, a garter, and hopefully buying their clutches. I think that's it.

I'll be getting my girls their jewelry for sure. I thought of getting them a personalized button up shirts with yoga pants for getting ready the day of, and maybe getting a tote or overnight bag to throw is all in.

I swear I'm going above and beyond for my ladies. While I was in San Diego a few months ago visiting my best friend(aka matron of honor) we came across this cute little day of the dead bridal tank tops, with an all lace back. They had both black and a white one for me. In spanish it says "Till death do us part" so I have her picking them up for me before she comes back home for my wedding. I also got my niece(aka broke college student and MOH), I'm buying her BM dress. The other girls I plan on also buying a Coach wallet or small clutch for each. Someone on here gave me the website for the Coach outlets and everyday I get an email about a sale Coach is having. Now, I'm also thinking about making each of them a day of emegerency kit and putting everything in a clinique gift with purchase pouch I have laying around. By NO means am I made of money and it seems like alot but each one of these girls means the absolute world to me!! Why not go a little overboard with them?

I saw on pinterest that one bride gave all of her bridesmaids different clutches (all matched their dresses) and they were filled with things (not sure what yet...not that close to planning this part!)
