Cancel ALL of them… Make the wedding original and specific to the bride and groom, instead of something that your guests haven’t already seen/heard many times before. #Snooze 😴

The only tradition on the list that I even like are the “parent dances” ( but I think there are also more unique ways to acknowledge them as well).

He is going a mix of grey's graphite and mercury. we also have very few hints of orange (fall color like a sunset orange) to add in as well

We’re not keeping any of these except (short) reception speeches. We’re not even having a cake or a bridal party. We just want the day to be about us and not about some schedule of odd traditions.

I'm pretty much not doing any of it.
    No wedding party
Doing a different song for down the aisle
    Writing our own vows
Only doing father daughter dance ( his mother passed a long time ago and we have 2 daughters together)
If they want to do speeches go for it but I'm not asking anyone to
I dont really think we will do clinking for kisses (gets annoying after awhile plus we've been together for 5 years and never been big on tons of pda) and cups are plastic so not sure if you can hear it
Considering on not doing bouquet or garter toss theres gonna be a lot of kids and my bouquet is expensive as it is
And I also am paying a lot of money for my make up so no cake smash 😂

Wow - I was cancel for all but 2. I thought I was being a little more traditional than that, but guess not. I really only am doing the father-daughter dance and the speeches, but both things will be modified so do they even count? Fun topic!

I love all of these traditions besides "Here comes the bride". I might let my bridesmaids pick their own dress as long as it goes with the color scheme. My fiance and I also discussed a twist to the cake smash. His parents turned and smashed it into the MOH and best man's face which we might do because we're always up for some fun!

We're not big on traditional, which can be hard for the fh's father. We were going to axe the garter toss and the bouquet throw but his dad kept pushing because "people expect it, its tradition ". So we put them back in. I'll be removing the garter from fh's leg to "killer queen" and then he'll throw the bouquet to "Another one bites the dust". I hope to have a bridesmaid get a picture of his dad's face 😂

We pretty much aren’t doing any traditions with the exception of the cake smash, first dance, and parent dances. It’s a hard pass on the garter toss, having my hubby to be up in my dress in front of our entire family (200 people) is not necessarily something I want to happen on my wedding day. I think that most traditions are overrated

I wish we would bring back the "get-away" dress. I know I'll be wearing one at the nights end.

We’re getting rid of the garter game, it just makes us somewhat uncomfortable. Walking down the aisle with a man or anyone is out— im going up on my ownand my mom is giving me away, and she will stand when they ask the question ( my father passed from cancer when i was 15, and parents were divorced. He was selfish, prioritized golf or work over his daughters and when he learned he was dying he tried making amends in his own way.) We are also ditching some other traditions that my mom knows about but isnt really common knowledge anymore. We want to handfast in our ceremony and maybe plant a tree together. Also we feed eachother cake, no smashing— spending money on my makeup and I would prefer bot to ruin it. Smiley smile

I liked answering all the questions. A similar one with the newest trends would be fun! For example the motorcycle jacket in the photo would be a good topic!
