Keep or Cancel: Bouquet Toss?

Lynnie, on July 16, 2019 at 11:05 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 3 263

To toss the bouquet, or not to toss? 💐 That is the divisive question! Some brides are so over this outdated tradition, and don't want to drag out all their single friends onto the dance floor while "single ladies" plays. Other brides can't imagine it feeling like a wedding without this classic and fun custom!

Which side of the bouquet debate are you on? Keep or cancel?

Keep. We're going to invite all women, not just single out for it though, and there's going to be a key on it so whoever gets it can open the chest we bought and win a prize.

Cancel. I always thought it was so embarrassing to call out all of the single women in a room and catch some flowers. We are totally not doing this.

Cancel. We are inviting like 3 unmarried women so it seems pointless. I’ll ask my MOHs if they want to fight over my bouquet since they are two of the three lol!

Cancel. Also, not doing the garter toss (I feel it's very awkward). Plus, there will be very little single ladies present.

I am doing a bouquet toss. But I have seen it where the bride gave her bouquet to the couple who have been married the longest, which is figured out by doing the anniversary dance. I thought it was a very cute touch.

Cancel. I found it so embarrassing when I was single and wouldn’t want to do that to other single ladies!

Cancel. It just looks desperate and embarrassing for the single ladies who are forced to come out to the dance floor especially if their SO is also at the wedding.

Cancel. I think it's strange to have a bunch of women fighting over a bouquet!

I despise this tradition. I purposely go to the bathroom during it. It's going away.
