Is it true.. Do you really get Free Starbucks coffee of your choice on your wedding day

Val, on March 25, 2013 at 6:58 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 20

I see this all over Pinterest and wondering if its true or not.. Has any married ladies tried this or anyone you know gotten free Starbucks on wedding day.. Plus how will they know its your wedding? Do they take your word for it? Just thought I would ask

Bump! Good question, I would love to know too! I had been curious. Also, I wonder if the bride herself has to go, or if a mom can go grab them?

I've seen this too, but I always thought it was fake. Hope someone can clarify.

My mom had them write 'Bride' on my cup & she said she still had to pay for them [all of our drinks]. We were going for the cute factor though, not the free factor haha.

I can ask my Starbucks employee-friend, but considering that a previous poster works there and hadn't heard of it, I'm guessing probably not.

There's tons of stuff all over Pinterest that isn't true. People pin without actually going to Starbucks to try it. It's the internet, after all.

It's not true. I've seen the pin you're referring to, and originally when it started popping up the description said to them write "The Bride" on your cup instead of your name. Months later I started seeing the same pic with a description saying you can get it for free.

My sister works at Starbucks and I asked her. She said no. There is no way to prove it's your wedding day, unless you're actually in your dress, and even then... crazy woman could put on her dress just to save $5.

This makes me think of that commercial with the "french model" because everything that was on the internet is true LOL.

There are so many pinterest pins that aren't true. I hate the baking soda and vinegar as a replacement for helium. It doesn't work, and didn't when we were all 5 years old. Drives me nuts!

Though I am a little sad that this one isn't true.

I recently started working at Starbucks and I asked the same question. It's not true. Doesn't matter if its your wedding day or not, they can't give it for free.

It totally depends on your barista at Starbucks. Some nice baristas will do it for you and some will not. I have worked at starbucks and if someone came in I would give the bride a free one, but I can't give the whole party free drinks.

I just got married on June 20th and had my personal attendant go and get all of us starbucks. They did not give me my drink free but did write bride on the cup.
