Do you wear your ring to bed?

Heather, on July 12, 2012 at 9:08 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 89

I know it is a weird question but I just got engaged and I am not sure if I should be wearing my ring to bed haha. It is such a high setting that I feel like I might poke FH in the eye! And our puppy sleeps in the bed too, don't wanna hurt him LOL. I know I don't have to, but I was just wondering what the consensus was.

I didn't until I got mine fitted because I was afraid it would somehow come off and get lost in the blankets. I almost never take it off now. I've got 2 dogs and a FI in my bed and we haven't had any issues with eye poking or ring-related injuries...Smiley smile

Yup, I wear it to bed, in the shower, playing sports. I never take it off. I have started cooking so many times started mixing meatloaf with my hands and get a start when I look down at my hands haha it's like an extra limb now! I need to start remembering as I have even started painting furniture with it on and things like that! So far it's holding strong but sheesh makes me nervous until I clean it up!

I only take mine off to shower and do dishes. Even if I were afraid to sleep with it on, I wouldn't be able to take it off at night. Our cat has an obsession with my jewelry and I'm constantly loosing things and finding them hidden all over the house.

My jeweler told me not to. If you toss and turn and hit anything with your ring you can loosen the setting.

I wear mine all the time EXCEPT when at the beach, or going into a pool/hottub.

I do not. I don't wear mine exercising, showering, washiing dishes ect. I have a high setting, and three small diamonds on either side. I had to get the ring resized when i first got it a year ago, and 3 of the small diamonds loosened up at first.. I am not taking any risks!

I don't...but I take off all my jewellery before I go to bed. The only time I don't take it off before bed is if we're in a hotel because I'm scared to lose it lol

I definitely don't wear mine in the shower or doing dishes, I saw how my mom's got kinda dirty and I don't want that to happen. I know it has cleanings every 6 months but I don't want it to get dirty at all!

I take mine off as soon as I get home from work! LOL Just cuz I have to cook and clean and run after my 2 year old that I don't want anything to happen to it. I also don't wear it to the beach or the pool.

I have never wore my e-ring to bed, because I sleep with my hands by my head/face often and it is uncomfortable. I have a jewelry box on my nightstand that it safely goes in every night.

My wedding band however I wear to bed everynight.

I take off both of my rings when I shower, swim, do dishes, cook (it it's really hands on) or do other cleaning that involves my hands and chemicals.

I rarely sleep in mine because I don't want to wake up and its not on my finger for some odd reason. However, I have noticed that when me and FH see each other I sleep with my ring on. So I guess you can say that 95% of the time is no, but when FH is around 5% of the time yes LOL

I wear mine to bed & have never hit it/scratched FH. Actually I have scratched him, when we play wrestle. I take it off for dishes, cleaning, swimming, & work (massage therapist cant wear any jewelry) but otherwise it's on.

I only wear my ring when I leave the house. I have awful dermatitis all over my hands and have to apply lotion and even wear gloves when I'm at home so I only put on my rings when I go out.

I don't wear mine to bed...it's a princess cut solitaire, and the corners of my setting are kinda sharp, so I don't want to scratch FH or tear the comforter with it. I don't wear it in the shower, but I will do the dishes with it on from time to time.
