Does that max include your alterations? The book I read said to tell the attendant I thiink 80% of your max to give yourself padding.

I found mine by accident at a Brides against breast cancer show (Totally didn't expect to find it!) Paid 700 and did some major alterations for 400. It totally looks like it was made for me! Smiley smile Good luck!

Well my budget was 1200 and i got extremely lucky by accident my first time shopping. My dress was $450. Alterations are going to be minimal because the dress was my size exactly but i'm not sure how much those will be yet.

$1025! My max was $1200, and I won't hopefully need too many alterations (but we shall see)

$1250 and then alterations is $450 so a total of $1700. My max was $1200 but my dress is a gift from my father and he said it was okay since I love the dress so much.

My dress was a BM dress from Alfred Angelo. It had a sweep train. With alterations, it was $350.

Cate's dress....I gaver her a $1500 budget. Since Cate went into the salon for a specific dress(Maggie's Mahon), we did not give the consultant a price point. When she decided she hated Mahon, she started to pull similar styles. I was willing to go as high as $2K but just didn't tell Cate that. She found her dress for $1K, Cassablanca 1999, so that left her w/ $1K to play w/...alts - $240; veil - $200; shoes - $230; handbag- $50; jewelry - $300; boob padding - $70. We wound up a tad over budget.

$1700, and after tax/alterations it was about $2300. It was a crazy expense, but I loved it and the quality of it, and I'm still amazed by the details, the beading, and the fabric quality every time I look at it! Smiley smile

My max was $2000. Dress was $1200 but with veil, storage, underskirt, came to around 1500. Dress fit perfectly so hopefully no alterations, but Ive lost some weight since.

That's a big max! I paid a little under $900 just for the dress. It doesn't come back until Feb so the rest I'm not sure about yet.
