Mariah we can all be friends 🤣🤣. Your wedding sounds amazing because it will have a lot of food. What’s your menu? Cocktail hour we are having 6 passed apps, a pasta station (marinara, pesto, ala vodka and Alfredo with choice of toppings) a wing station (bbq, lemon pepper and hot wings), a slider station (burgers, brisket, chicken and a vegan option) and a roti station (my fiancé is Caribbean- will have curry, pumpkin stew and spinach stew). For dinner we are serving things family style and will have oxtails, salmon, baked chicken, rice with callaloo, mashed potatoes and vegetable medley. Desserts we are having various different ice cream choices, mini brownies, cupcakes, donuts and cookies with milk shooters. I think that’s it haha

Havent had ours yet, but we have a sweetheart table and a plated dinner. We plan on joining our guests for cocktail hour so should get some food there (or I'm going to ask a family member to make us a plate!) And then for dinner, it's right after the entrance and cake cutting. So we should have time to eat! Going to make sure of it because I get hangry and it's not pretty lol!

I am definitely making sure that my fiance and I eat. As much food as we're having and as much money as we paid for the reception, I am not skipping a meal unless I chose to lol.

We're doing a first look so that should cut the amount of time we're out after the ceremony. I'd like to be able to eat amongst my guests and enjoy all of the food we picked out.

If we weren't doing a first look, our venue would have dinner waiting for us in the bridal suite.

Ill have to be sure not to show FH this post because he would be so jealous! He wanted all the stations during cocktail hour and I had to reign him in a little Smiley xd . We are extending cocktail hour to 90 minutes. We are having a station with someone rolling sushi(also has edamame and hot/cold asian noodles), an italian station (that has calamari prepared 2 ways, penne ala vodka, stuffed shells, chicken cutlets, meatballs), 6 passed apps, and our venue has something called a "bistro display" that has all kinds of carved meat/cheeses, hummus, crostini, cold/hot salads etc.. Dinner starts with a cesear salad, then citrus granada, then we have four options for main course(tilapia stuffed with crab and shrimp in a garlic sauce, chicken baked with roasted red peppers spinach fontinella cheese and prosciutto in a garlic sauce, filet mingon with herb compound butter, and stuffed protabello mushroom with a veggie stuffing). All served with mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. Dessert we will be having our cake and we are also doing a vianesse display which will have all different kinds of italian pastries and cookies. Im sure im forgetting something along the way but you get the gist... A LOT of delicious food for both our big days!Smiley laugh

Awesome!! We aren’t doing a first look but I also don’t want so many posed photos. We are doing most of the family pictures and bridal party pictures before the ceremony to cut down on how much we will need after the ceremony. We mostly want candid shots so I’ve already told the photographer y’all have 30 minutes after the ceremony hahaha after that I’m heading to cocktail hour.

I just got married on Saturday and if you have a strict timeline and coordinate with your vendors well and plan everything out with your FH you will have time to eat.

Unless something happens and it pushes everything back a bunch you will have time to eat! We had enough time that my husband went up for seconds! lol

It was easier for me because the ceremony, photographs and reception was all at the same location. and I had a day of coordinator that helped to keep everything moving and keep track of the timeline.

My sister's ceremony started 15 minutes late, the photographs were near that area but we had to drive like 15 minutes to get to the reception venue...and on the way to the reception one of the groomsmen's car broke down and we had to wait for him so everything was rushed and none of the wedding party got to eat.

So just make sure you have good time management and have a backup plan in place for everything just in case something were to happen to help keep everything moving along!

I am determined to eat after hearing these stories. We have a small wedding with only 6 tables so IF, and it is a big IF we go to each table I feel we will be able to after we eat and still do it during dinner, but honestly I plan to talk to as many during cocktail hour that I can.

Are you doing speeches? I would say you should have time to eat before, and maybe during.

We haven’t had our wedding yet. But we’re having a time set aside to make sure we eat. Our DJ is going to play 30 minutes of “dinner” music so we can sit along with our guest and eat our 1st meal as husband and wife.
