I’d like to hear from some of the people who’ve already had their wedding day. Everyone keeps telling me “you aren’t going to have time to eat”. Me and food have a special relationship! The thought of being hungry and not enjoying my food terrifies me 🤣🤣. I am determined to prove them all wrong! Has anyone been able to actually enjoy their wedding and been able to enjoy the food?
Pro Tip: I heard this from a local radio talk show I listen to and I want to try it myself... So their advice was to delegate someone (party planner/coordinator/staff or even a family member or friend) to get you and your partner a plate with a little bit of everything and create a quite secret place for the two of you to sit and enjoy a meal and some down time together for 15-20 mins. Everyone else will be distracted eating and you and your new husband/wife can have a private moment together as a married couple and you can have some time to eat!! I am going to try my best to arrange this myself.
I actually wasn't hungry during our reception and it made me sad, lol. I had a plate brought to me, and was able to enjoy a few appetizers but I only picked at my main meal.

I agree. I do not want to have my time monopolized by pictures. I want to enjoy my wedding and actually be a part of it lol. I’ve been to soooo many weddings where the bride and groom were missing in action for most of the day because of taking pictures.

Hahahaha I sooo hear you! I plan to be an absolute pig that day haha. I follow keto due to IBS so I’m missing a lot of food. That day I’m eating EVERY.....THING! I think the food is one of the most things I’m excited about lol

Awesome! I’m glad people have figured it out lol. When people say that to me I think to myself I know every bride doesn’t starve lol

That’s a good idea. We will have a server designated to FH and I. Also my sister and one of my BMs have vowed to bring us food here and there. Also our caterer cooks for an army haha so I know there will be food left over and she will make sure to pack us up a to go plate.

This is my worst nightmare lol. There has never been a time I couldn’t eat or wasn’t hungry but my engagement night I was just so happy, shocked that I didn’t eat much, everyone was shocked because I’m literally an eating garbage can lolol. I’m petrified it’ll happen my wedding day lolol.

Absolutely! I love all my guests but I love myself too and I won’t starve so if I have to walk around with a plate I’m ok with that too. Some may find it tacky but I know my crowd and they will find it hilarious and just joke on how greedy I am like they always do lol.
Same lol!! I fully intend to ENJOY my food! After the price of everything I'm eating! 😂 I agree that this seems like a time management issue but also a may be a wedding size issue? For instance, people with 100+ guests and you're trying to get a chance to talk to everyone? There are only so many hours in a wedding lol! For us, it will be below 75 (maybe under 50 even) so that won't be an issue. Plus, as you said: special relationship with food! 🤣 I'm eatin'!

Hahaha. I’m glad I’m not the only one. We have about 275 guests so we won’t be able to speak to everyone individually but we will plan to visit ever table and the photographer will follow so we can get a group picture with every table.
Yup!!! At our DW, we did first look so we could do family photos after the ceremony quickly then escorted guests to cocktail hour. We mingled, changed outfits & still had time to socialize before (and after) we ate dinner. At our local reception we had a 60-minute cocktail hour before dinner so we could socialize with guests and then enjoy dinner!
