I’d like to hear from some of the people who’ve already had their wedding day. Everyone keeps telling me “you aren’t going to have time to eat”. Me and food have a special relationship! The thought of being hungry and not enjoying my food terrifies me 🤣🤣. I am determined to prove them all wrong! Has anyone been able to actually enjoy their wedding and been able to enjoy the food?
Unfortunately the venue has a liability policy where we cannot take food and honestly have no idea if there was anything left. But we went to taco bell at midnight!
I wasnt about to let anybody get in the way of my food. Lol We had a sweetheart table away from the main guests tables and it helped keep us able to have dinner.
Listen, I will stop anything and everything I'm "supposed" to be doing (photos, singing papers, telling people hi etc) to EAT! Dont ever get between me and my food, especially on my wedding day, haha

I've assigned someone to feed me on the wedding day...haha! I just know I'm going to get caught up in everything and forget and then be super bummed out later, so I told one of my bridesmaids to get me a plate with at least one of everything and feed me lol. Hopefully it goes according to plan.
We are doing a receiving line after the ceremony to quickly greet everyone before we do photos, then will have speeches happening once everyone has been served dinner which will allow us to chow down while that is happening.
I haven't been to a wedding yet where the couple didn't find the time to eat dinner.

That truly sucks! You spend so much time planning and picking the perfect meal and pay all this money to only end up not being able to enjoy it. I’m sure you still enjoyed your night 😃

Oh wow. I’ve never knew a catering hall would say you cannot take food like you paid for it and isn’t it similar to taking food out from a restaurant?! That has me confused. Glad you got something to eat at the end lol
This is exactly why we're having a cocktail party reception. We will have time to mingle and enjoy our guests, but it's totally cool to just walk around with a plate of food and munch while friends and family gush. If you're having a sit down dinner, make sure you and your attendants are served first, make sure there is enough time to eat comfortably while guests are still enjoying their meal so you can finish and have time to greet them. If it is a buffet you should have even more time to get your food while your DJ calls table numbers to ensure no one waits in a long line and then you can stagger things out leaving plenty of time to say hi to everyone before the dancing begins.

I'm not married yet, so I don't have any advice. But I am really worried about this too!! lol
Although I had time to eat and plenty of great food to enjoy throughout the day (doc brought breakfast, I brought lunch, and of course catered dinner during reception) I didn't feel like eating. I took no more than a few bites throughout the day and didn't really feel hungry until the next morning and by then I was starved lol yay for continental breakfast!
