So I had about 20- 30 minutes in my schedule where we had nothing planned in the reception schedule so we got to sit down and eat during that time.

The venue that we have rented for our daughter suggest that the bride and groom use the dining room in the home before entering the party venue. The caterer is instructed to deliver their meals. It gives the couple a few mins to themselves. Yes you should eat!!

I refuse to skip dinner. Lol. We’re going to sit at our sweetheart table to eat. If anyone wants to chat, they can come up to us 😂

We mingled during cocktail hour and had time to sit down and eat dinner at our sweetheart table. (My coordinator was lovely and had plates of the passed appetizers sent my way immediately after the recessional.) However, I was very high on adrenaline and my dress did not have much give to allow more too much eating. I didn't end up finishing most of my food, but it wasn't for lack of time. We offered a dessert station and late night snacks, but I didn't get a chance to eat those because we were consistently being pulled to the dance floor by friends. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm not married yet, but all the wedding I've gone too I have seen the bride and groom, for the most part, enjoy their meals.

I love food & our menu was so damn good - Caribbean buffet in Puerto Rico. Guests still talk about our dinner & desserts. Some got so stuffed they couldn’t dance lol. My hub and I barely ate, even though the servers bring your food. The venue messed up and had pork (95% of my guests and I don’t eat pork) and my hub and I wasted half hour dealing with getting it removed. We were compensated for it though. I’m still sad I didn’t eat the food LOL

Yes girl We did my husband and I got served first and we sat down at our sweetheart table looked at each other and we started eating because we were starving . We definitely enjoyed our whole entire meal .
