Room 1520 is truly a hidden gem in Chicago! From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding on September 21, 2024. The space is stunning—modern, elegant, and versatile, with a beautiful ambiance that made our celebration feel so special. We had 125 guests, and the size of the venue was perfect for our party—spacious enough to feel grand, yet intimate enough to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s also an incredibly affordable option compared to many other venues in the city, offering exceptional value without compromising on quality.

Celeste Hamilton, the owner, was a joy to work with. She was professional, attentive, and dedicated to making our day perfect. Max Hamilton, our day-of representative, was amazing—he kept everything running smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day without a worry. The bar package was fantastic, with a great selection of drinks and incredible bartenders who kept our guests happy all night. We also loved the signature drink, which added a fun personal touch.

The getting ready suite was perfect for our bridal party, with plenty of space for everyone and great natural light. It was also dog-friendly, which was such a big plus for us—our dog was able to be there with us while we were getting ready, and it made the experience even more special. The rooftop, with its stunning view of the Chicago skyline, made for breathtaking wedding party photos that we’ll cherish forever. Plus, having the venue for the whole day allowed us to take our time, enjoy each part of the day, and not feel rushed.

Another huge perk was the easy, free street parking in the area—especially in a city like Chicago, this made a big difference for our guests.

We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to make our wedding day unforgettable. If you're looking for a beautiful, affordable, and dog-friendly venue with exceptional service, Room 1520 is the place! We highly recommend it!

My now husband and I wanted no more than 150 people at our wedding. Room 1520 was perfect because that is the maximum guest limit for a plated dinner! Celeste, the co-owner of the venue, is so easy to work with! She is warm, friendly, and truly wants your event to be successful. She gives you a detailed brochure with information on the required bar package you choose, experienced vendors that make wedding planning so much easier, and approved caterers. Because of all of this excellent information, my husband and I were able to plan our wedding and reception ourselves in 6 months. We were able to load in our wedding and reception items 2 days before our wedding. The bar mirror was personalized prior to our rehearsal. We completed our rehearsal the night before our wedding. On the day of the wedding, we utilized the gorgeous bridal suite for getting ready, the many beautiful on site photography locations, the wedding, flipped the room during cocktail hour, and had our reception. Celeste’s hired staff are relaxed, fun, and host a great party! Max, the Manager on site for the day, was extremely helpful and accommodating for anything we needed. We highly recommend Room 1520!

We did the all inclusive package with Room 1520 for our wedding ceremony and reception and it could not have gone any more perfectly. Celeste and Max (and Nicole from Urban Allure) were so helpful in the lead up and on the big day itself. The space itself is beautiful and was a good size for our 130 person wedding. The bar had a great selection for the guests as well!

Room 1520 took us in when our first wedding venue abruptly closed a few months out from our wedding date, and we can't be more thankful! Not only were they so generous with they're pricing, but their professionalism and responsiveness were so much better than a lot of other venues we looked at and made the choice a really simple one. In the end, we can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else! It was so beautiful and so perfect for our group of 65. They worked really well with our other vendors and made everything run so smoothly so we could focus on enjoying the night. They're really a top notch team and an easy choice for an incredible wedding venue!

We were married just 2 days ago and I could not wait to post this review. We did the all inclusive package with Room 1520 and let me tell you this is absolutely where you want to have your wedding. We had DJ, Photo Booth and day of coordinator included and every single service went above and beyond our expectations. Nicole and Alison helped us make so many important decisions and ensured the day went smooth. We are still on cloud 9. My guests could not stop commenting on how beautiful the venue was. We barely needed decor because this space is so beautiful itself. Thank you for making our day perfect.

I loved working with Ashley throughout my entire planning process. I’ve been in contact with Ashley well before I decided to book the venue. I was back and forth with Room 1520 & another similar venue, but hands down I feel like I made the right decision in the end. I love the white exposed bricks with the chandelier, which was a classy touch. You don’t have to do much with the space because it’s naturally beautiful and that was less work on my planner. The bridal suite is huge and gorgeous! And I loved how we were able to take pictures on the rooftop, which in my opinion are money shots! My only problem with Room 1520 was with the sound system along with the projector. We were unable to play our slideshow during the ceremony 😞 But really other than Room 1520 is a great & unique spot to host an event!

Room 1520 was a dream to work with. Ashley worked with us for 2 years to plan our wedding and was with us every step of the way! The location is gorgeous, they are easy to work with and very responsive/ professional. The venue of my dreams!!

Once I walked in to Room 1520 I knew I HAD to have our wedding there. We ended up pushing our wedding date back a year because of COVID and they were flexible and accommodating. We did the All In Package and it was 100% worth it. Our vendor team gave 1520 rave reviews, most saying it is one of their favorite venues to work with and I can see why. Ashley was a complete rockstar and was there every step of the way including the day of where she worked her butt off (and even tended bar!). Our guests found the space to be 'magical' and we got so many compliments on finding a 'hidden gem'. Don't sleep on this venue - it is one of a kind!

Room 1520 was perfect for our wedding day.  The front entrance is simply, yet beautifully decorated which eliminated the need for us to add much else to the space.  The chandeliers and vintage bar add a touch of elegance to an otherwise "blank canvas".  A huge benefit was also having the tables and chairs included in the rental; in which the options were both very stylish and modern.  Plus the adorable bridal suite was the perfect place for the to get ready.  The empty space was a perfect backdrop for our first look earlier in the day.  Ashley helped answer any questions we had leading up to our wedding, coordinated with all of our vendors, helped craft our signature cocktails, and even tended the bar to ensure the evening ran smoothly.  We're very happy we chose Room 1520 for our wedding reception!

Room 1520 was the absolute best place to get married! Celeste and Ashley are both so wonderful to work with. I couldn't think of nicer and more accommodating people that run the most beautiful space! Ashley is so organized and on top of everything that you won't have any last minute worries of what's going on with the venue because she has it all taken care. 10/10 would recommend to all of our friends and family wanting to get married in Chicago. There are also so many picture perfect spots inside the venue that you won't have to think about going off site for pictures. Our photographers loved the space and we can't wait to see the pictures! I have dreamed of having my wedding at Room 1520 after stumbling across it on Instagram - pre engagement. Well my dream came true and I secured a summer wedding at the most breathtaking crisp white canvas in Chicago! The blue furniture, the chiavari chairs, the bar....this venue is straight out of a dream. From day one, working with Ashley was so easy. She was responsive and helpful answering any questions and providing recommendations. As the wedding approached she provided the most delicious batch cocktail options for our signature drinks and the day of the wedding she was even behind the bar serving them up! The day was executed flawlessly and I couldn't have asked for more. Guests raved about how unique and beautiful the venue was. I just hope someday I have a reason to throw another event here! Thank you Room 1520 - you are now home to some of our favorite memories.

Room 1520 was the absolute perfect choice for our July 3rd wedding. We got the venue for a steal because we chose a weekday. I loved how everything was in one building from the bridal suite (which is enormous and instagram-worthy), to photos on the rooftop with the city in the background, a bright ceremony in a room that would be flipped for dinner, to cocktail hour by their incredible built in bar and chicly decorated atrium.
The staff that works there is incredible and they never said 'no' to anything I wanted. I worked with Ashley mostly and she was truly the best, it's like having a built in day-of coordinator. My guest raved at how beautiful the venue was and everything went off without a hitch. 10/10 would recommend.

Every part of our wedding – from planning to the actual day – was perfect because of Room 1520!! Early on Celeste and her team were unbelievable! They made the planning seamless! They put us in touch with a slew of vendors (equally amazing) that were so excited to work with us when we told them we were having our wedding at Room 1520. Celeste and Ashley have an incredible reputation! Celeste even opened up the bridal suite to my family and closest friends for a “Suite Peek” (a.k.a. trial hair and makeup) complete with champagne and snacks. And Ashley worked with us to create a “Theirs” cocktail that was nothing short of delicious! We got married February 2, 2019 and our day-of was flawless. We were blown away at how the Room 1520 team had transformed the white canvas space to a rustic and romantic winter wedding! (We had the ceremony and the reception at Room 1520 – A MUST DO!) The space was gorgeous- from the chandeliers, to the marble bar, to the lighting, to the beautiful furniture. Our rustic, romantic theme flowed from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception. We were so impressed with how flawlessly the entire evening transitioned! It was perfect! My husband and I had an amazing wedding at Room 1520! We are so happy we got married at this venue! I’d recommend this venue to anyone getting married…in fact, I already have! Thank you Celeste, Ashley and the entire Room 1520 team!!!

The Entire Room 1520 team was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Super flexible and responsive. Also, they updated amenities twice in the time that we booked and never increased the rate! Their packages are outstanding and the price for the alcohol was lower than any other place we looked at. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Highly recommend having your wedding at Room 1520! We had our September wedding there and it was absolutely perfect! The space and bar is gorgeous and they are so flexible with making your vision work! Celeste and Ashley are so nice and professional and so easy to work with. They have a wonderful alcohol selection and will work with you to get whatever signature cocktail or beer/wine you want! They also have a great bridal suite to get ready in and let us come in super early to do hair/makeup with all of my bridesmaids. It was so great to have a space we could all keep our stuff and not worry about it all night. Overall, beautiful space with excellent owner and staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband and I are incredibly happy that we picked Room 1520 for our wedding venue. To start, Celeste is incredibly kind and very fun to work with. She also closely works with a wedding planner (Nicole – Urban Allure Events) and she was absolutely outstanding. This made the choice VERY easy for us. We immediately trusted them and knew we were in very good hands. Then there is the space, it is GORGEOUS. We loved it and thought it was perfect for our wedding. The all- white space is beautiful and the space has so many wonderful elements (Wonderful entrance, beautiful chandeliers, huge beautifully designed bar, up-lighting, bridal suite, rooftop view, lovely couches and seating areas, I could go on) We were extremely excited to enjoy our wedding day and boy did they deliver. The wedding day was amazing. The bridal suite was so fun to hang out in all day. Huge bonus with the all-white design is how great it is for photos. It was nice and bright with plenty of natural light for hair and makeup etc. The ceremony chairs, layout and look was perfection. Reception was the same! We danced the night away and got numerous compliments about the space. We would get married there over and over again if we could. Thanks Room 1520!

When my husband and I started wedding planning, I became extremely picky about the venue. I knew I didn't want a cookie-cutter banquet hall or a hotel ballroom, because I really wanted a clean, minimalist space that I could make my own.
When we first toured the space, my fiance and I instantly fell in love and knew that this space would be perfect for our minimalist, romantic, modern themed wedding. Unlike most event spaces, there is so much that is already included in the rental price so you get a great deal and you don't feel like you're being nickle and dimed for some of your event essentials like beautiful chairs (without chair covers), lounge furniture, chandeliers, etc. The venue is so beautiful on it's own that you won't need to do much additional decorating. It's the perfect backdrop for any elegant and modern event.

The fact that you get to work with Celeste when booking this space is just an added bonus. She is simply AMAZING. She was the first venue manager that didn't make us feel like "customers" or just "another booking". She was always kind, professional, understanding, patient. empathetic, and treated us like we were guests in her home every time we went to the venue, including the wedding day. She was beyond helpful with guiding us through their catering list and went above and beyond to ensure that all of our requests were accommodated with ease. She truly exceeded our expectations and that made it so much easier during the stressful wedding planning period and easier to enjoy our wedding day without worry. She even stood in as bartender during our cocktail hour to make sure that all 100 of our guests were pleased. Our wedding day was perfect all because of her and her team. And our guests are still raving about how beautiful the venue was. I'm a little sad that it's all over because I will miss working with them.
Choosing Room 1520 for your event will be the best decision you make. I promise you won't regret it. :)

Celeste is charming and easygoing. When we saw the space we were impressed by the chairs, chandeliers and bridal suite.

The location has a TON of parking for guests!

The day of our wedding was a high of 98 degrees the venue felt very cool the entire day and night!

I loved my venue.
My only note is the stairwell leading to the rooftop was pretty dusty definitely need help holding up wedding dress.

Celeste and the entire team at Room 1520 was incredible. We could not have been happier with our decision to have our wedding at this gorgeous venue. We had so many compliments about what an amazing venue we picked. Thank you again for making it the best night of our lives.

Celeste was amazing. She is helpful, flexible and responsive. The space was clean, beautiful and had everything I needed to make the wedding a success. I enjoyed the flexibility of being able to bring in a caterer instead of being stuck with a venue's only caterer. It allowed me to have tastings with multiple caterers and negotiate with them to bring the price down. The space seems to be always trying to improve itself. On the day of my wedding, the space has beautiful new lounge furniture that I could use as well as a wall curtain so that I could do a dinner reveal. Every single vendor that I worked with knew who Celeste was and had only great things to say about her. That says a lot. Thank you, Thank you!

We had our October 2017 wedding at Room 1520 and couldn't be happier with how everything went. From the outside its very unassuming (being located in the middle of an industrial neighborhood and all), but the inside is stunning. My now-husband and I knew we wanted a venue that was modern and urban, was unique to Chicago, was located in a quiet area, would let us use whatever vendors we wanted, and was more or less a blank slate for us to decorate as we like, and Room 1520 checked all of those boxes, and more. The built-in bar, huge bridal suite, and rooftop for photos just sealed the deal for us to choose them (it wasn't their fault it poured literally all day on our wedding day so we didn't really get to take advantage of the rooftop!).

Celeste was a dream to work with from our first visit to the big day. She was very quick to answer any questions I sent her way, and was very accommodating of letting us come see the space again whenever we needed to while we were planning. On the day of the wedding she was there early to help direct vendors and even sneakily took a cell phone video of our first look from the back of the room, which she sent me after the wedding, which was a very sweet gesture that we didn't expect.

Room 1520 perfectly suited our minimalist, no-fuss style. The crystal chandeliers and colored uplighting on the white pillars added just the right touch of elegance without being too ornate, and we added some simple string lights and candles to complete the decor. Many of our guests told us how "gorgeous" and "perfect" the space was and we were like, "we know!"

A unique space that can be decorated to suit anyone's taste and any event's theme, we couldn't recommend Room 1520 more.

Room 1520 could not have been more perfect for our wedding! It’s such a beautiful blank slate and then with added decor and flowers, it’s just stunning. Celeste is so accommodating and easy to work with. She handled all of our requests and questions with ease, and gave us so many good tips and guidance along the way. I honestly can't say enough good things about Room 1520. I'm so happy we chose to have our Wedding there;) Celeste went above and beyond for all of my annoying 'soon to be bride' questions and never made me feel stupid!! The Venue itself is so beautiful. Our experience with Room 1520 was amazing. We could not have picked a better venue!! Everything about Room 1520 fit our needs and was exactly what we wanted. From the HUGE bridal suite to the beautiful open space to the gorgeous front entrance/lobby/bar -- which was perfect for our cocktail hour -- everything was the best and it made our big day SO SO special. Also, Celeste was key to having everything turn out so perfectly! She was incredible throughout the whole process and felt just like a friend!! Room 1520 knows what's up!!

I am so glad we chose Room 1520 for our wedding venue. The place is absolutely beautiful and it can literally work with any theme and any style. But what's even better than the beauty of this venue is the service. Celeste the manager of Room 1520 was hands down my favorite vendor in my wedding planning process! She was accommodating and SUPER responsive from the moment I started to inquire about the venue and stayed that way even after we signed the contract (which you'll find in your planning is not the case for every vendor). She answered every question we had from big to small and is so flexible on the type of decor ideas you may have. She let me do these crazy awesome decals on the front entrance window with our wedding monogram and decals on the bar mirror with the menu and it was one of our favorite and most talked about decor choices. Another thing I loved about the venue was the bridal suite. I had 6 bridesmaids, myself and mom getting ready in there and we all had so much space and had a blast all morning long. This also saved us money on getting a hotel room to get ready. Celeste also worked so well with all of our vendors and responded to all their questions super quickly so we could get things moving. Oh and the roof! The rooftop pictures were a must and having the Chicago skyline in the back of our wedding pictures was definitely a plus for us!

There were few venues we found in the city that were as beautiful as this, with rooftop access, a bridal suite, a crazy amazing bar (statement piece of the venue), furniture included, free parking, uplighting, BYOB, reasonably priced and a stellar manager. If you're still on the fence about this venue - do yourself a favor and just say yes! We are still getting compliments about our wedding from family and friends!

I had my wedding reception here this past May and had a wonderful experience! Aesthetic wise, this venue had the minimalist feel that we were going for and is absolutely stunning. Everyone was commenting on how beautiful and unique it was. Celeste was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process and was more than accommodating with our many visits to the venue (and a last minute ice cream cart!). Her calm demeanor eliminated any nerves I otherwise may have had, with her providing wedding day advice outside of just the venue on many occasions. I highly recommend!

We were married in Ireland this past fall and had our Chicago celebration at Room 1520. It's a beautiful venue, and Celeste is wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!

We couldn't have asked for a better venue to hold our wedding ceremony and reception! Celeste was an absolute dream to work with! She is super knowledgeable and has the best recommendations for vendors! Always available when needed and super flexible!

Beautiful wedding venue and awesome service!

We got married at Room 1520 in October 2016. We worked with Celeste from start to finish. She is extremely professional and passionate about making sure you have a fabulous wedding. She consistently answered all our questions, we worked with her to design the space, she let us come early the day of the wedding to use the bridal suite to get ready, and she worked directly with all our vendors (they all know and love her, so it makes everything easier!).

We had about 160 guests and had a half sit-down/half cocktail style reception. It was the perfect size space. The bar is so gorgeous and large, no one had to wait for drinks and it never felt crowded. You can add a lot of decorations if you want, but we just went with white tablecloths, the clear chairs, and simple candles, and it was so beautiful. The uplighting and chandeliers make the crisp white space glow in the evening. We used the rooftop for our first look and some bridal party pictures. Great view of the city and very private. Our guests all loved the venue as much as we did. At the end of the night we walked a block down the street to the Cobra Lounge for an after-party, it was super convenient and since it was so close a lot of people joined, perfect place to end the night!

We viewed about 12 other venues in the city and nothing compared to the unique style, the value, the service, and the flexibility that Room 1520 offers. We are so grateful we found this spot and highly recommend it!

My daughter's wedding was October 2016 and I can tell you. Your search is over Room 1520 is the place for your wedding and reception. This loft space is absolutely beautiful and Celeste is joy. All your wedding pictures will be simply breathtaking. I highly recommend Room 1520 EXCELLENT!!!!!!!

We got married here on 8/6/16 and could not have executed a more perfect evening. The space is amazing and unique. And like the reviews say, "a blank canvas to do with what you want." We looked at a few other venues similar to Room1520, but when we put them against one another there was no question who to partner with. We did both our wedding ceremony and reception here. My wife was originally a little worried about having to take on all the extra pieces of planning a wedding at a place like this, versus a hall that pretty much does everything for you, but after meeting with Celeste for the first time, all of her concerns were quickly erased. She explained everything to us and even gave us a sheet of their preferred vendors to partner with. It was a HUGE help!

Celeste is a gem - friendly, knowledgable, super accommodating and makes you feel like you've been best friends since birth. Cannot even begin to thank her enough for everything.

Other places charge for (or don't offer) tables, chairs, up lighting or sofas. Room1520 provides these within your package. It's so nice to have one less thing to worry about.

You are however, responsible for catering (linen, cups, dishes, etc), decor, music and booze. But as mentioned above, Room1520 has a list to help with that (if you need it). It's not just a name or two in each category either. They provide options that fit within all price points. It was so easy.

So if you're looking for a perfect wedding, in a beautiful event space, with world class professionals to partner with, I think you've found it at 1520.

My husband and I recently got married at Room 1520, and we could not have picked a better venue. Celeste, I cannot thank you enough for being so accommodating with my crazy schedule to come in for walk throughs, day before drop offs, and even for our wedding cake!

When we first visited the venue, Celeste's willingness to allow us to visit way after business hours, already won us over. When we walked in, the chandeliers, to the huge bridal suite, to the gorgeous bar space, I was in awe. She even allowed us to do pictures and our first look on the rooftop!

The venue comes with the column uplighting, the chandeliers, the chairs, the lounge furniture, etc etc etc. Chair rental and lounge furniture rental is expensive, soon to be brides!

The day before the wedding, I, like most brides was in a frantic trying to drop everything off prior to rehearsal. When it came time for rehearsal, because most of our wedding party was traveling from out of town, most were running late, which meant Celeste had to stay much later than intended. Thank you!

The day of the wedding, my makeup artists asked to start at 7am, which meant Celeste had to be there by 645am. Thank you, again!

Honestly, I cannot be more grateful to have worked with such a wonderful and nice person! She could have just told me, no, and I would have had to figure another way out myself. Thank you for providing such an amazing space for our wedding and thank you for being so accommodating!

I LOVE ROOM 1520! I was SO pleased with my wedding reception at this venue. Everyone was such a great help, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Celeste was super accommodating (even waking up at 6:30am to open the bridal suite for us!) and so sweet through the entire process. The room itself is stunning so any decorations are just bonuses. I can't imagine the night having taken place anywhere else, and wouldn't have changed a thing!

Not only does Room 1520 give the best value (tables, chairs, lounge furniture and more were included in their price) but the people working there are fantastic and helpful. About 2 weeks before the wedding the girl we had been working with left and we got freaked out, but her replacement was nothing but kind and helpful and everything went off without a problem. We had a Friday wedding so they let us spend the whole day Thursday setting up. We did all our flowers and decorations by ourselves and it would have been almost impossible without Room 1520's flexibility to get in early. As long as they don't have an event the day before, they are so accommodating! The venue is beautiful and they made our day absolutely perfect.

Haley and the Room 1520 team were amazing to work with. I fell in love with the venue as soon as I walked in and I truly appreciated the organized initial meeting and walk through. The venue was a great value considering the amenities offered (furniture rental, a beautiful bar that was recently built in the space, parking, security guard, ability to have the rehearsal there, roof top access for photos, lighting options, chandeliers, a huge bridal suite, etc.) All of our vendors also enjoy working events at the space and had great things to say about it. It was a perfect space for our wedding ceremony and reception with seated dinner - it offers some beautiful natural light, plenty of space and the ability to transform it. I can't say enough good things about Room 1520 and would highly recommend it to other brides/event planners in Chicago!

Amazing venue! Absolutely spacious and really pretty space to use for a wedding. Its like a blank canvas which you can decorate as you like - they included uplighting and recently added a brand new bar. Haley was extremely courteous and professional, and really quick to respond and help to any questions or concerns we had.

We held our wedding reception at Room 1520 in June and I cannot imagine having held our reception anywhere else! We worked with Haley from the moment she walked us through the space last December, to the day of our reception; She is incredibly responsive, welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. Planning a wedding on our own was stressful enough and I can honestly say that I never had any doubts, concerns or trouble with the arrangements at Room 1520. I spent a lot of time researching venues for our reception and Room 1520 was one of the most affordable options for us and provides a discounted rate if you hold your event on a Friday (which we did). The space is gorgeous and I loved the way the amber up-lighting that we chose transformed the all-white space. We rented tables and chairs from Room 1520 and were able to comfortably seat 160 guests for a sit down dinner, still had plenty of space for a 5 person band, dance floor, cocktail area and dessert area. We brought in our own caterer who was not on the list of preferred caterers. If you do this, bear in mind that you will be charged a small service fee. We brought in flowers for all of the tables but did not feel the need to do any other decorating besides the up-lighting that is included with the space rental. The venue is BYOB but you will need to have licensed bartenders serving your alcohol.
Room 1520's beautiful and spacious office doubles as their bridal suite. My bridesmaids and I arrived at 11am and my hair & makeup artist came on-site to help us get ready.
Room 1520 will allow you to use their roof top for photos, which we did during the guest cocktail hour after our ceremony. I could go on and on about how amazing our experience was.. I highly recommend this venue for your event!

We love, love, loved having our wedding at Room 1520! It is a unique wedding venue with the urban, but yet elegant feel we were looking for. The space itself comfortably fit our wedding of 140 guests, it can hold more but things would be pretty tight in my opinion. All the staff were wonderfuly accomodating and had great communication through out the entire process (thanks June!). Additionally, the acoustics were great for our speeches and the DJ (Katie LaBombard from Toast and Jam rocked it all night). The office doubled as the bridal suite, it was large and comfortable for us girls to hang out in all day long to get ready. As far as cost goes Room 1520 is on par with other venues of the same vibe (loft/urban/unique), however, you are only renting the space so all additional items can increase the wedding cost quickly (table, chair, linen rentals etc will all come from your caterer). All in all I could not have found a better place for my wedding!

I had both my wedding ceremony and reception at Room 1520 in the West Loop. It is a wonderful and affordable place to have your wedding. They allow you to bring your own liquor which made the cost of our liquor half of what other places were quoting us (and we had liquor left over that we got to take home). The Aeree Loft at Room 1520 is both urban and elegant. The walls are white and the floor is gray, which allows you to work with any color scheme (unlike many banquet halls and country clubs). The space can truly be made your own because it is a blank canvas. There is ample free parking in the area which was very convenient for my guests.

Haley Lertola was our main contact at Room 1520. She was great to work with and understood our needs from the start. She was open and honest about what things worked and didn't work in the space. Anytime I was stuck with what vendors to turn to for my vision, she had recommendations which all ended up working perfectly for what we wanted. I appreciated all her help and advice from day one.

It was fun being able to have a blank canvas (with the bonus of white curtains as well as 17 beautiful chandeliers) and make it look any way we wanted. There were also great add on options through Room 1520, like being able to use the roof top for photos at sunset. For my husband and I, having the opportunity to go up there alone for a moment to take it all in was really special. They also have a modern white couch you can use for a lounge area if you'd like. That was nice to have as well to have another option for guests.

Dan Hannula was on site the day of the wedding and made sure everything went smoothly for all our vendors and entertainment. They have a great team there. Overall a great value, great service and their flexibility was outstanding.

it took us a while to find a venue that would fit all of our wants for our wedding; creative and unique, killer food and rocking dance party. not easy to find any space that would give you all that and still be inexpensive. finally we heard about Room 1520! we fell in love with the space and that was it! we booked it and everything fell in to place immediately! it was perfect, the wedding was planned in 2 weeks after we met with Haley. here are a few reasons why it was a HUGE success, we were married 1/15/11.

1. we could bring in our own caterer and liquor in which is a very big savings.

2. they were flexible with our delivery dates and tear-down (luckily a wedding in Jan gets perks like that to cancel out the terribly cold temps.)

3. Haley was a dream-she didn't pester at all about forms i should have filled out and turn in immediately but bridal brain made me forget to do it.

4. the venue itself is beautiful. clean, pure, white, simple, modern, classic, chic, there are a million more adjectives and so many ways we could have decorated the venue which is huge-you have the perfect blank slate to decorate however much or little you want to and it still looks amazing. a half a doz chandeliers all in one room have never looked better in a venue space.

5. the lighting is so elegant. we kept it bright until the dance party began then dimmed them down. the pictures are so beautiful, the soft warm glow looks like we had the venue professionally lit-which costs thousands of dollars. it was PERFECT!

6. it's unique- it's not what everyone else has. it's special and different and SO much cheaper than what everyone else typically does! it's such a hidden gem of sorts. the great thing is that even if everyone starts booking, as i mentioned above you can decorate it a million different ways so it's always going to be unique, no matter how popular it gets!

7. parking is a breeze! we were concerned about needing a valet, but the area is virtually vacant after 6pm on the weekdays and clear on the weekends. a benefit of the location. we parked across the street! no-one complained at all and we had a lot of older guests.

8. it looks as pretty and chic on the outside as it does the inside! huge floor to ceiling windows and chandeliers seen through as well as the creative staircase= great pictures and a wonderful entryway for guests.

I'm just so thrilled we booked the space and that Haley was so amazing, all of our friends and family were thrilled. we wish we could do it again!

My partner and I loved Room 1520 when we visited. The venue is beautiful and makes for fantastic photo opportunities. The bridal suite was perfect for the whole bridal party to get ready. Ashley was so helpful from the first visit. Our original date had to be postponed due to COVID but Ashley and the team were at Room 1520 were flexible and accommodating both with the rescheduling and the changes needed for the event. We couldn't have asked for a better place to tie the knot!

Loved everything about having my wedding at Room 1520! The venue is beautiful and Ashley is so attentive and helpful. We got many compliments on the venue. Definitely a hidden gem in the West Loop!

We were so excited when we found Room 1520. Finding the right venue in Chicago when you're on a budget can be hard! The venue is perfect for a midsize wedding and provides an all-in-one experience (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing) that guests really appreciate. Room 1520 has a classic style, natural light and great lighting that doesn't require a whole lot of additional decoration, but is flexible enough to go with a variety of themes. Ashley and Celeste were immensely helpful in pulling everything together and collaborating with our vendors. They were so calm and competent and put as at ease even though we weren't sure what we were doing when we started planning! The bar program is really strong and our signature cocktails were big hits at our reception. I would recommend this venue unequivocally for any event for 100-125 guests. You will not be disappointed.

I loved Room 1520. I loved how unique the space was and how I could really make it my own. I had a lot of guests ask me "How did you ever find this place??" because they thought it was gorgeous (the answer is that I googled "cool places to get married in Chicago"). The bridal suite is amazing, and the built-in bar is terrific. Celeste was great to work with and was very helpful when I had questions about vendors. Book it, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent location and venue. The staff was extremely professional and accommodating. I worked with Room 1520 in conjunction with Urban Allure. The venue is gorgeous and is a perfect backdrop for any theme or colors you pick.

What a wonderful experience we had at 1520! Everything from the the moment we walked into our wedding day. Everything was perfect!
