First and foremost we just want to give a shoutout to Melvin and Micki, they were so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was flawless. Our guests are still telling us how beautiful the venue was.
From start to finish, everything was seamless and elegant. The highlight was the outdoor terrace we used for cocktail hour. The views of the skyline, the lake, and a sunset created the BEST views and photo opportunities for us and our guests.
The inside reception space is stunning. The modern decor, lighting, and impeccable service set the tone for the whole night. If we ever needed anything the night of the wedding the staff saw to it in a matter of minutes. The venue truly speaks for itself and I'm amazed at how much of a hidden gem this venue is.

I had the pleasure of designing and coordinating a wedding there in July and Felicia and her team were amazing! Very accommodating and made sure my bride and the bridal party were treated like royalty on their wedding day. Vita was our onsite manager and she was ON POINT!!!! The security along with the back of the house did everything to make sure things ran smoothly. They were so helpful and I would definitely recommend and work with The Penthouse Hyde Park again!!! I might throw my own event there!!!

My couple and I selected this venue not only for the stunning look but also for the flexibility we experienced with the venue coordinators. All our questions and concerns were addressed, and we felt at ease going with them for their big day. On the day, all the staff were friendly, polite, and accommodating. We had check ins to ensure we sent everything needed for the big day.
Our overall experience here was nothing short of amazing! We worked with Felicia - love her!

The Penthouse hosted my wedding in July and I couldn’t have been happier on my wedding day. Guest raved about the staff and was truly surprised about this hidden gem in Hyde Park. Although it rained we were able to enjoy the terrace for our ceremony. The special effects of the dancing in the clouds and cold sparklers were an unexpected surprise for me as the groom and our guest. My wife was deeply involved in the communications with the venue and expressed how responsive they were. Thank you Penthouse Hyde Park for exceeding our expectations!

Shortly after getting engaged, I came across this venue and was in awe of how it perfectly captured exactly what I envisioned for a wedding day venue. The space is simultaneously a blank canvas but also decorated in an equally subtle and notable elegance. Regarding decor, I can’t tell you how many times I stated, “The Penthouse Hyde Park doesn’t need too much more than flowers,” and that emphatically rings true. When my now-husband and I initially toured the venue, seeing the space in person sealed our confidence in utilizing the The Penthouse Hyde Park for our venue. The space is gorgeous, elegant, clean and the suite set off from the ballroom is the perfect spot for bride, groom and wedding party to have as a “home base”/retreat location during the day of. (I have to stress, when picking a venue location, having a private space to use will be an important element, it was for me, at least.) We had both our ceremony and reception at the The Penthouse Hyde Park. When we chose them for our venue, we were in connection with two wonderful and supportive contacts: Emmanuelle and Felicia. Both Emmanuelle and Felicia answered our endless questions and helped us finalize what we’d need from the venue to have an incredible wedding day. The team was professional and timely in communication. They were also immensely accommodating during the planning process, for our rehearsal and on our big day! On our wedding day, all of the event staff present was kind, enthusiastic and we are so grateful for the The Penthouse Hyde Park team. Choosing this gorgeous space for the venue to celebrate our loving union was a choice I’d make again.

The only reason this is not a 1 star review is because the space is breathtaking. Unfortunately, the support staff is unable to match the beauty of the venue.

The original team we were working with seemed to be let go, and we had several changes to who we needed to work with. Getting a response from the team was difficult, and took several days to a week to get a response. In the days leading up to our wedding, the venue attempted to drive up our costs by adding items that were never in our original contract. It was extremely frustrating to make concession after concession, while the venue refused to meet us in the middle on ANY item.

On the day of the wedding, we had a lot of issues getting people up to the space. There is one, semi-working elevator. This is inadequate for 135 guests plus vendors. Beyond that the bar ran out of mixers and wine multiple times throughout the evening. Since it is an unlimited bar package, this made our experience much worse, and allowed the venue to cut cost.

Overall very disappointing experience. Might recommend the space itself. But only if you have a strong Wedding Coordinator to handle all of the inevitable issues that will arise from working with the Penthouse.

TERRIBLE, AVOID! Full of hidden fees, unrealistic insurance requirements from any outside vendors forcing you to go with their list of vendors. Really old elevator that barely works. Dealing with this team was such a bad experience that I opted for a different venue even AFTER paying the deposit, and I am really glad I did after reading all these other reviews. Highly recommend avoiding this venue for your big day
