  Samantha and Brian went above and beyond for my husband and I on our wedding day. It poured all day long, but they kept a close eye on the weather and assured us that it should clear up in time. Not only were they right, they kept us calm in the meantime when we feared the worst, and for that, I am eternally grateful. It ended up being a dream-like outdoor ceremony, and much of that is owed to Sam and Brian. Their creative insight is really what made it so magical, and consequently, a day I will never forget. Also, the photos came in a timely fashion and were absolutely stunning. The prints are not only high-quality, but also timeless. Overall, they were always professional, attentive, and helpful. I could not of asked for more. I recommend Samantha and Brian to everyone. They were a pleasure to work with.

  My husband and I cannot begin to thank Samantha and Brian for coming to our rescue when we were in a pinch. Our photos were stunning and we couldn't be more happy about them. They were on time and professional and were very flexible with the photos we were looking to capture. Photography is an art and sometimes you have to let the artist capture your story through their eyes and Samantha and Brian did just that.   We used A Thousand Words photography for our engagement pictures, shower photos, and wedding photos. I would recommend them for anyone looking for amazing photos. My favorite thing about our photos is they really capture the vibe of the event and the fun.
  Brian and Samantha really worked with us as far as what we wanted and what was important to us. They are very fun to be around and will go to anything length to capture the perfect shot. My favorite being on a hill in Detroit , a rainbow formed, it was drizzling.. They went running up the hill laying on the wet grass to get the perfect picture of us kissing with the rainbow in the back. Amazing!
  I cannot speak highly enough of them. They took us to some random places that we never wouldve imagined would product such great images. Talent! They see the world differently which is what makes them fabulous!

  I could write about a thousand words about Samantha and Brian. Working with them on my daughters wedding was the best. They captured the feel of weddiing through the pictures. I loved that I really never posed for a picture and yet the family pictures are the best. This experience was picture perfect, I would say that this duo is the very best in the business. I love their work, style and creativity.

  My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Samantha, Brian, and A Thousand Words. We absolutely love, love, love their work. The photos are truly a work of art. Samantha and Brian have such a creative eye. My husband and I look at our mantle every day (seriously) and comment of what a beautiful picture it is. Samantha had gotten us into one of our favorite restaurants, before hours, and captured a breathtaking image (see her website, it's amazing). The album she created is wonderful. I love to look through it an relive the day. Their work really captured the joy of that perfect day. There were so many great images, it was difficult to narrow them down for the album. Our pictures are unlike any my friends and family have. It was truly money well spent. Thank you so much Samantha (and Brian too!)

  A wedding is the most magical day for two people to share, and that is what Samantha and Brian gave to my husband and I. We had a magical experience with pictures that not only showcase our amazing day, but the beauty of the love we share. Every moment they created for us was perfect. It's hard to pick out only a few stories, but I will begin with a story about the first time my dad saw me. I have a very special connection with my father and I wanted each moment documented that I shared with my dad. When I was done getting ready, Samantha had me wait outside in the yard and had my dad come out but keep his head down. She told him to look up and walk towards me and she captured pictures as he walked towards me in awe of his "little girl". I cry every time I see the pictures because it was one of the most memorable moments my dad and I have ever shared. The day of Frank and I's wedding it was 100 degrees throughout the entire day. Samantha and Brian hiked up rocks and paths at Ohio Pyle to create pictures with gorgeous backgrounds and settings. People go crazy when they see my pictures and I always tell them that I had photographers who were willing to go the extra mile to make Frank and I happy. Having two photographers was fabulous as well. Brian was able to photograph the guys and get GREAT shots of my husband getting ready (probably some of my favorite photos..he just looked so hansom). Samantha was able to be with me all morning while I got ready and photographed all the intimate moments I shared with my mom, dad, cousins and friends. Frank and I had 10 bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen, 3 flower girls and 1 ring bearer. Samantha and Brian did an amazing job wrangling everyone together. They even managed to get pictures taken of all our groups of family members which consisted of 30-40 people in each group picture!! Overall, I couldn't be more happy with the way I was treated and the magical way A Thousand Words Photography captured our wedding day!

  A Thousand Words is my NUMBER ONE recommendation to friends getting married. Photos were incredibly important to my husband and I, and after seeing their work, we couldn't even think about going with anyone else! Not only were our wedding pictures STUNNING, we were also extremely happy with the service we received from them. Samantha traveled on our very hot wedding day from my house where I was getting ready, to the church, to another location for pictures, to our reception site, stayed for a LONG time at the reception, and didn't even blink an eye! She was super professional and made everyone involved feel very comfortable. She and Brian also traveled over an hour to meet us in a location of our choice for engagement pictures without thinking twice. She worked with the time we could give, and we were extremely happy with the results! In addition, we received our engagement and wedding pictures in a very timely matter, and I found their communication to be excellent. We couldn't be happier, I would definitely choose them again, and would highly recommend them to anyone!

  Our wedding photos by A Thousand Words Photography are STUNNING. I was so excited when Samantha was available on our wedding date because I had looked at the photos on her website and I was immediately hooked. But more than just beautiful photos, I want other brides to know how pleasant she was to be around on our wedding day. It is such a stressful - but exciting - time and she was just calming and wonderful. Also, my advice is to get an engagement session. We did even though we didn't think we'd need the photos for anything and it was a great chance to be in front of the camera and get comfortable posing. And of course we loved the engagement photos too! Thank you Samantha.

  My wife and I absolutely love Sam and Brian! The did out Engagement pics, wedding pics, and our son's newborn pics. The also did the same for my sister in law! Right from the very start Sam and Brian felt like FAMILY and it shows in the great pictures! We HIGHLY recommend Sam and Brian!!!

  A Thousand Words Photography carefully captured all of the special moments of the best day of our lives. They came highly recomended by a bride who was thrilled by the work they had done. Samantha and Brian are not only photographers, they are true artists in every sense of the word. They have a true gift that is a rareity to find. We feel like the luckiest couple in the world to have them captured our wedding day. We knew we would be happy with their work, but we had no idea how amazing the photographs would turn out. It would be an honor to work with them again. My father passed away a year after our wedding and Samantha so generously helped my husband arrange photographs for the funeral service. It was such a comfort to have those special pictures with us when we needed them the most. I could never thank Samantha and Brian for all that they have done for our family.

  I cannot say enough about Samantha! I had the honor of booking her for our wedding day and her gorgeous pictures are one of my fondest treasures from that day. She was punctual, responsive, and extremely sensative of the emotions and energy of the day. There were moments that she captured that I hardly even remember but I'm so glad I have such wonderful pictures that captured the moment! Thank you, Samantha, for everything you did! One of my favorite pictures hangs in our bedroom on a giant canvas, your work has turned into a gorgeous piece of art!

  We have used this group multiple times for weddings. We first used them for our wedding in 2007 in Ann Arbor. All of the shots were great with a handful which were exceptional. We have one of us in Nickels Arcade and several people have commented how beautiful the picture is and did we get married in Europe. Our needs for this wedding were simple and Samantha was able to accommodate.
  
  We were so impressed with what we received my brother-in-law used A Thousand Words for his wedding in 2010. Again, great photos, great service and reasonable price. There two wonderful photos of family from this wedding which we had blown up onto canvas (about 6ft x 4ft) and both hang in our great room. They have become family treasures.
  
  Again, in 2011, our cousin used A Thousand Words for their wedding. Again a wonderful experience.
  
  I can honestly recommend A Thousand Words. If a group is less than wonderful, it would show after 3 wedding experiences and we have no complaints.

  Samantha & Brian not only did our engagement and wedding photos but also photographed 2 of our 3 children as babies ( due to a death in her family, she was unable at the time to do our 3rd child). We can not say enough great things about the two of them and their great work!!!! We have ALWAYS had a tough time narrowing down our selection because there are always so many, many great shots! Their ability to catch individuals' true personalities in their photos is such a true talent and rare to find.   We used Samantha for our wedding at St. John's in Plymouth. She was absolutely fantastic! She began with beautiful engagement pictures we were able to display at the wedding and also use for our shower. She met with us before the wedding to determine what style we were looking for and what our hopes were for the day of the wedding.
  She arrived early the day of the wedding to capture the preparations for the day. She also managed our very large wedding party (with children) perfectly, making sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right time. She planned the perfect "First Look" moment where my husband and I were able to see each other before the ceremony. We then were able to get the majority of pictures out of the way so we could focus on celebrating with friends and family after the ceremony.
  The pictures she took were beautiful and exactly what we had hoped for! There was a large variety of pictures, while they were not overwhelming. She created a beautiful coffee table album which incorporated not only traditional pictures, but many creative and unique extra touches such as the words to our wedding song.
  I have recommended Samantha to many of my friends and family who have gotten married since our wedding.

  We used Samantha for our wedding at St. John's in Plymouth. She was absolutely fantastic! She began with beautiful engagement pictures we were able to display at the wedding and also use for our shower.   Samantha was a wonderful photographer...she did a great job capturing e special moments and was great with the wedding party and our families. When it came to putting together our album, she did a great job of telling our "story" and incorporated the then new digital prints with the actual film prints from our day. I would recommend A Thousand Words Photography in a heartbeat!!!

  Samantha and Brian did the most amazing job of capturing every magical moment of my wedding day. We got so much more than we could have ever hoped for. My wedding photos were one of the most important things to me. I get comments all the time on how extraordinary they are. We have been married almost 10 years now and having A Thousand Words Photography was still the best choice we made for recording that special day. Not only are the prints on our walls amazing but our album is like nothing I had ever seen before or since. Samantha is truelly an artist. I would definetly recommend them to anyone!

Particular, yet with an ever-changing idea of my perfect day...a binder full of ideas for every possible vendor complete with a mile-long list of dysfuntional family combinations (step/half/in-laws) and even specific 'candid' poses I hoped would be captured...this is what Samantha had to manage and deliver as my photographer. And she did it with a smile and genuine interest...did I mention her own wedding to Brian was within a week of mine? 10 years have passed and the binder is dusty (but still in-tact!), but the moments from that day are ever-present...hanging on the walls around us, sitting on my desk at work and framed in the homes of my family members around the country. The rest of the vendors long forgotten, the photography remains - it's the most important service you'll pay for that day and I would use ATW and Samantha again if my wedding were next week. As happy as I am with the product I received that year I can see that Samantha's talent has evolved into a true value & gift that any bride would be lucky to experience!

  My husband and I could not be happier with our experience with Samantha and Brian!!! From our first consultation to going through our amazing album we loved them. They were prompt, professional, and delivered an absolutely beautiful result! We also chose the boudoir session as an add-on, (which every woman knows can be traumatizing lol) but Samantha made me feel comfortable, and worked magic with her editing skills lol!!! Bottom line is that they are an incredibly nice, and talented team to work with and we will (and have already) recommend them to everyone we know!!!

  Wonderful and talented people to work with.

  Brian and Samantha make a wonderful team. They are kind and easy to work with. Pictures throughout the day were efficient and never interrupted us from enjoying events at our wedding. Brian even helped the groomsmen iron their pocket squares! My husband and I highly recommend them for your wedding. The quality of your pictures will be unbeatable and they are really wonderful people. The only slight bummer is that we did not get any "teaser" photographs within several days after the wedding. Photos were returned to us ~2 months after the wedding as promised.

  I'll start off with saying that I absolutely hate taking pictures and looking at myself in pictures. I was looking for my wedding photographer to of course be technically skilled and reliable, but most importably, to capture the emotion of our wedding day, which I think truly separates a great photographer from a good one. Even before hiring her, I fell in love with Samantha's portfolio to the point where I was emotionally effected by it. Meeting Samantha and Brian in person totally sealed the deal for us. They are just so easy to talk to, really professional and just on it. Our engagement pictures were beautiful, and I truly never expected our wedding pictures to look as amazing as do. When looking at our wedding pictures, for several of them I could barely believe that it is us in them because we look so good! Most importantly, without prompting, Samantha captured the emotion of the day... my dad crying during first look, my now husband tearing up during the ceremony, my mother in law just looking at us with total delight. My 80 year old grandma in Ukraine said that she felt like she was there when she looked at our pictures which is all I really wanted. Hire Sam and Brian. Their work speaks for itself, and on top of it, they're very organized, flexible and a joy to be around. Plus we got our wedding pictures back within 3 weeks of the wedding which may be a speed record!

With horrible weather and lots of challenging/dark lighting, Samantha and her husband thoroughly captured our day in gorgeous, high quality, timeless and creative photographs. Our canvas, prints, album; it's all gorgeous and one of the best investments we've ever made. Samantha even offered to shoot more photos the next day due to our circumstances. Pricing, dates of delivery, etc. was all clearly communicated. You pay and wait for amazing photographs. To say that a Thousand Words Photography doesn't take quality pictures is just so far from the truth. We loved working with you and wish we still could, but Seattle is a bit far of a commute for a family shoot. You can hire Samantha and Brian and trust you won't be disappointed.
