Being a middle-aged woman getting married in the era of social media and online stores, it was scary for me to connect with someone who could take photos and videos of my wedding. My husband and I thought that it'd be intimidating to use the contact page on someone's website but as soon as we logged into Karl's, we were greeted with a welcoming hello and we knew right away that we were in good hands. The chat led to a quick Zoom call days later and he patiently answered all our questions about the wedding ( it was also the first time for us to hire a videographer). He was organized from the get-go. He even sent us a Google calendar reminder a week before the wedding day. Our guests loved Karl like he was part of the family. He's very great with people and my relatives even commended me for finding a friendly photographer. We really enjoyed posing for him as this wasn't something we normally do but he just made it less frightening I guess. The most important piece I guess of our review is that we loved our pictures. They were delivered on time and the resolution was more than enough to do very large prints. Speaking of prints, he didn't upsell us a wedding book or prints as he gave us great advise to take the pictures to Costco ( we didn't even know they had wedding photobooks but they don't have printing anymore today btw) and get a huge hardcover book with 50 pages for a very cheap price but with high quality that possibly could be better than other printing places. Now I understand how photographers rip off their customers by selling them overpriced books that could be had for cheaper if you know where to go. That right there was one of the reasons why I recommend Karl to all my family and friends who are not only getting married but need a photographer or videographer. Oh by the way, our wedding film he made is also the highlight of my Valentine's night yearly with my husband. Dinner, drinks, and we rewatch the movie when we get home. Sorry for the lengthy note. The last thing I want to say is knowing how a wedding can be nerve-racking, especially for those of us who haven't done it before is you want the pictures and if you're doing videos to capture all the expensive things you prepared for your wedding day. Those won't look good if you're photographer is not good. I say and go with Karl so you can forget about the stress of it and enjoy your wedding day.
