We were low-key bracing ourselves for some bumps in the road, 'cause that's what everyone says about weddings, right? But guess what? Not a single glitch! You two must have some kind of behind-the-scenes magic going on. Your planning skills, Heather's chill vibes, and the flawless execution – we couldn't have asked for more. But what stands out the most is how all the staff cared. Our guests are still talking about how seamless everything was. We were one of the first weddings in the Scandinavian tents at Royal Gorge, and even though they had never done it before, they really delivered and created a magical experience for us and our guests. Aside from the wedding day, Sugar Bowl really has a lot to offer in terms of: play day at Lake Mary, Lake Mary as a rehearsal dinner location, on-site lodging + bar + breakfast and the wedding venue of course. We were able to create a superb weekend experience for ourselves and our guests and everyone had a blast the whole time. The venue locations are unbeatable in terms of their privacy and scenery, you truly have the whole thing to yourself. I can't say enough how Sugar Bowl and their staff is so accomodating and flexible, and the value they deliver really beats your expectations. They really put in so much effort to making your day go as well as possible and stay on top of the details. We were happily surprised by the really high level of food and beverage that was delivered. Coming from the Bay Area, we had pretty high standards, and they were definitely met. This is no standard wedding food - our meals were full of fresh seasonal produce and packed with flavor, and the drinks did not disappoint either. All of our guests raved about the food and drinks, along with the overall experience. Can't recommend these guys enough in terms of the hospitality they offer, attention to detail, and value for your money. Doing a wedding with Sugar Bowl really feels like it can be curated to you and the experience you are looking for, and feels a lot like a family and not at all corporate.

Our daughter's wedding at The Timbers at Old Greenwood in Truckee, California was nothing short of dreamy. The venue itself is extraordinary! Abby and her staff were incredible professionals from our first visit. So many of our guests expressed how much they loved the venue and the exceptional food. The staff were joyful and helpful throughout the wedding and I particularly appreciated that. Most importantly, Abby listened and cared deeply about giving our daughter and son-in-law the day they envisioned. They did exactly that. This venue also has so many of the items that other venues require you to bring in with rentals and it simplifies the planning. Such a perfect, beautiful Tahoe experience. We will treasure the day forever!

Phenomenal venue for rehearsal dinner. Old historic building, yet the room was perfect size, long table for the dinner with extra area to mingle and visit. They were super easy to deal with in the planning stages. Very responsive to questions and gave recommendations that were helpful. We hose the family style menu, simplified things in the weeks before and everything was amazing. The dishes were well spaced, delicious and plentiful. Everyone raved about the food, had plenty to eat and didn't have a bunch leftover which always feels wasteful. Staff was super attentive without feelin intrusive. Highly recommend.

We had our wedding at Dancing Pines on 9/3/22. Beyond the obvious natural beauty of the property, it is truly hard to overstate how incredible Liz and her team were; in particular her organization, professionalism, and day-of coordination were superb. My now-wife and I both cared a lot about the "flow" of the event (i.e., making sure guests were never confused about what was happening, where to go, or when their next food or drink was available). As both venue owner and wedding day coordinator, Liz is uniquely knowledgeable about the property and WOW did she help us bring our vision to life. She knew to ask questions about ceremony and reception aspects that we hadn't even considered and were so glad to be working with such a pro throughout the process since we hadn't hired a separate wedding planner. On top of all of the amazing professional service Liz and her team provided, she's just great to work with in general. As soon as we arrived on the property, it felt like we were talking to an old friend. As soon as our guests started arriving they constantly kept coming up to us and asked, "How did you find this place..." in the best way possible. Dancing Pines really is a magical place and I have to pinch myself to think that it's now part of our story and are welcome back anytime. If you have the opportunity to plan your wedding here, DO IT. You will not regret it.
