I cannot express how grateful my husband and I are to have booked our wedding reception at The Grand. We worked primarily with Marissa and Lauren on this event for close to 18 months due to postponements as a result of COVID. What stands out about this venue is their professionalism. We opted to go with this venue primarily for this reason and the value for what you are getting. Throughout all the changes, they were nothing but responsive and helpful in any way they could be. My emails were always answered promptly. Despite all the stress from having to change my wedding plans, I never had to worry about being taken care of at The Grand. When my husband and I finally had our event this past October, everything on our agreement was delivered as promised. Zero issues whatsoever. We had great waitstaff and a super fun bartender. The venue itself was set up beautifully. Thank you so much to everyone at The Grand for creating such a beautiful day for us.

I want to start by thanking Kevin Lorton, who has been my main point of contact throughout planning my brother’s wedding renewal. As the wedding coordinator, I had a lot of questions, requests, and last-minute changes—and Kevin was incredibly patient with every single one. From arranging a tour of the boat to responding quickly to my texts and always making himself available (or getting back to me promptly when he wasn't), Kevin provided nothing but excellent service. He was courteous, pleasant, professional, and truly someone you want on your team during such an important event. One thing that really stood out is that the bride and groom’s budget was $10,000, and they ended up spending $8,707.14—which means Harbor Breeze Cruises not only delivered a beautiful event but also fully met the couple’s financial expectations. That alone speaks volumes about their honesty, transparency, and commitment to their clients. Kevin also introduced me to Kim Spucces, who was on deck the day of the event, and she was absolutely phenomenal. Whatever I needed, Kim was right there to help—always checking in, making sure everything was running smoothly, and offering assistance before I even had to ask. Her professionalism, calm presence, and genuine kindness made the entire day flow effortlessly. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the staff—from the bartenders to the catering team from Gladstones. I feel bad I didn’t get all of their names, because every single person provided outstanding service. And the food? Some of the best we’ve ever had. Our guests were impressed, satisfied, and raving about it afterward. From start to finish, Harbor Breeze Cruises exceeded every expectation. I couldn’t have asked for a better team, smoother experience, or more memorable celebration for the bride and groom. Would I recommend them? Absolutely—without hesitation. Whether it's a wedding, anniversary, party, or any special celebration, I highly recommend Harbor Breeze Cruises. Wow wow wow, is all I can say. I had my wedding here last month and it was the best night of my life. Not only is the venue STUNNING, but the crew was so professional and organized. Special shout out the our catering manager Marla and our day of wedding coordinator, Cristen. We still cannot believe how amazing and hands on these two were especially since they were "included" in our package. They were so thoughtful and detail oriented and answered every little question we had. The food was amazing, the rooms were great- everything just exceeded our expectations.

My now-husband and I are so glad we went with the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel! Working with them was such a blessing. Lisa Lyons-Gentile especially was such an amazing and positive person to connect with; she truly took the stress out of planning and helped us to feel like we could pull off a huge event like a wedding. From our initial inquiries, to food tasting, to flow planning the week of, we truly felt like we were in good hands and could communicate both our concerns and preferences. The staff made themselves present on the day of the event, and the venue itself was just modern, clean and gorgeous. If we could get married again, we would! And we for sure would do it at the Renaissance :)

The service was phenomenal! Jennifer Seo was our wedding coordinator/host/helper, and made everything so much easier for us. I loved the experience on the shit, and my guests fell in love with it. The vintage feel made everything a lot more romantic. The food was amazin, too. We got married on the gazebo and the views were phenomenal. My husband and me fell in love with the place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. 10/10

Our wedding was on August 3rd, 2019. We only had our reception at the Hyatt in the Beacon ballroom with 110 guests. Robin was amazing to work with. She helped us through the entire planning process and worked with us to stay on budget. She also coordinated with all of our vendors and was there that night to make sure everything ran smoothly. We were originally anticipating 150 guests, so when we only ended up with 110, Robin helped us find ways to reach the venue minimum so we didn't waste any money. The food was delicious, and the Beacon ballroom is absolutely beautiful. It has a wall of glass windows with views of Long Beach Harbor, which is so much nicer than other fully enclosed ballrooms. There are a couple of other ballrooms on the property, but we got lucky that none of the others were being used on our wedding night so we had the whole place to ourselves. I wouldn't recommend this venue for small weddings because you would have to spend too much per guest to make it worth your while, but for a 100+ wedding it's one of the more affordable and elegant options we considered.
