MOLAA and Christina were the best! We were so happy to have our wedding here. The venue offered a unique setting for us that encompassed our unique style and lives. We had an evening ceremony and cocktail hour in the sculpture garden as the sun set. And then we moved inside the main hall for dinner and dancing. We had the museum open for our guests too. I wouldn't have changed anything about it. Christina was so on top of everything and very fexible and easy to work with.

To this day, we still get comments from our friends that our wedding was the funnest and most genuine that they've ever been too. MOLAA and Christina played a big part of that. Thanks you guys!

First off, let me just say that I fell in LOVE with the venue, even before I got engaged! I saw pictures of the museum through friends (and friends of friends) and it definitely left an impression! When it came time to look for venues, we new that MoLAA was a definite stop during our venue tour. MoLAA was the last venue we visited and after having met with Christina, our wonderful on-site coordinator, and taking a tour of the place, we were certain we found THE place! To be perfectly honest: picking the venue was probably the easiest of our wedding planning decisions!

Once the paperwork was signed and everything was official, everything was fairly smooth sailing going forward. Christina, the wedding coordinator for MoLAA, was extremely helpful and responsive to my numerous emails and phone calls! She made sure that all my questions were answered, all during the weeks leading up to the big day. She definitely worked within our restricted budget and was able to adjust some things so that we can have a memorable reception within a comfortable price range. It was very important to my husband and I to have a reception at a place that represented us, and the unique museum space captured our love for arts and culture. The spacious ballroom allowed us to host our numerous friends and family. The catering was also amazing!

All in all, I was very much pleased with my experience with Christina, MoLAA and the entire planning experience as a whole. I would strongly recommend this venue to any couple who is looking for a not-your-average reception site that will definitely blow your guests' minds away! Another great plus is the friendly and helpful staff such as Christina who make wedding planning feel like such a breeze!

MOLAA really blew me away. Our wedding there was amazing, better then I could have expected. We had our ceremony in the sculpture garden, cocktail hour in the Balboa room, then our reception back outside in the garden. Our guests still talk about how beautiful and different the museum was. It was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue; modern, different, colorful, natural. Also we had over 200 people and they helped us figure out exactly how it would all work, giving us many options and working with us on ideas. Christina Cruz was our coordinator and she was FANTASTIC! We were planning the wedding from out of town and she was always there to help with answers and ideas. She was also available by email and very responsive. Also, MOLAA works with TGIS exclusively as a caterer and we had many comments from guests about how the food was incredible. Thank you again Christina!!!

The museum was worth every penny! It was a place that made our day so special. They provided everything, caterer, rentals, etc. On our wedding day it rained but the museum responded so fast it didn't even matter! They really took care of everything.

This was such a lovely space to have our wedding! We were so happy with it. I loved the colors, the atmosphere, everything! My guests all had the nicest things to say about how beautiful the sculpture garden was. It was a happy setting for a happy occasion...and unique too!

We LOVED having our wedding at MoLAA - it is such a fun and unique venue and we absolutely loved all the beautiful colors there! Christina is amazing to work with - she's super organized, really responsive, and is a PRO when it comes to event planning. We didn't hire her as a "coordinator" (which I would probably recommend!) but even just corresponding with her to work with the venue, she was always on top of things.

Having the catering built into the venue package was helpful so they could coordinate and everything for our wedding was seamless! Our guests loved the venue and our photographer really capitalized on the unique scenery!

Our wedding was in June and we used the Sculpture Garden for a late afternoon ceremony/evening reception in the Balboa room and the weather was good - they put out a few umbrellas for shade and no one complained too much about the heat!

I would definitely recommend MoLAA as a venue and especially if you can work with Christina!

The Museum of Latin American Art was an AMAZING venue to hold our reception at! It is very unique and they have many options for ceremony and/or reception, including indoor and/or outdoor options.

Hazel is their events coordinator, and she did a great job of making sure that we were happy and that everything we wanted was "just right". She had many great suggestions and is very helpful.

Although it is a bit expensive to rent out this location, it was comparable to many places we reserached & in the end was worth it because of the layout & the reactions from our guests.

Another plus is that you are able to provide your own alcohol, which saved us some money.

What is their not to love about using a Museum for an event. The best part of MOLAA is that their garden and Balboa areas work together to give you the best of the California outdoors and a nice intimate indoor area if you so choose. As if that wasn't enough, they allow your guests access to the museum exhibits to let your guests experience something completely different. If hotel ball rooms aren't your thing, then MOLAA is worth every penny in terms of style.
