The Petersen was exactly the place that we wanted our wedding, I wanted an outdoor rooftop and he wanted something different...being a car enthusiast as my husband is The Petersen was perfect for the two of us. We were able to take wedding photos in the museum and then have a nice intimate reception on the roof.

From the beginning, setting up appointments to go check out the venue to the end working with staff was easy and great. The tough part about using a venue like this is that we HAD to use their list of caterers and to go outside of that there was a fee you would have to pay them. Also it was pretty much bare bones, meaning we had to provide everything...and being inexperienced I did not know that I had to rent everything, even the equipment for the caterer.

The people at the Petersen are great to work with, they help as much as possible...but a tip is to make sure to go over everything including the break down after the event. I learned the hard way, did not communicate to them well to store all my hand made decorations, which they ended up throwing out :(
