About Whipped Bakeshop
An appointment-only bakery located in the Fishtown, Philadelphia, Whipped Bakeshop specializes in custom-decorated cakes, cookies and cupcakes. With a background in painting and baking, artist Zoë Lukas founded the bakery in 2008. Whipped won a Best of Philly award from Philadelphia Magazine in 2009 and we haven’t looked back since. Our cake designs have been featured in outlets such as Brides Magazine, Saveur, Daily Candy, Style Me Pretty and many others – including a Super Bowl ad for Century 21 Real Estate. We have also made treats for many celebrities including Lizzo, Drew Barrymore, Paul McCartney and Jimmy Fallon. We are perhaps best-known for our ultra-smooth buttercream cakes, but our made-from-scratch cupcakes and beautiful cookies are also big hits at parties and on social media, where our images are shared around the world, racking up millions of views by dessert lovers everywhere.

A Very Sweet Experience
We tried a few at-home tastings from bakeries in the area, and Whipped was the winner. During the planning process, Zoe provided a couple of design options for us to pick from, which I really appreciated.
My husband's 40th birthday was just a couple of weeks after our wedding so I knew I wanted to take advantage of having all of our people in one place and surprise him with a cake. I wanted to a "Sean's Favorite Things" cake: Philly sports, PS5, shrimp 😂 and Zoe and her team came up with the most delightful cake with the cutest/coolest designs and made sure we had a birthday sparkler.
The birthday cake was the cookies & cream (SO GOOD! and we didn't eat it until the day after the wedding) and for our wedding cake we did the lemon & thyme and strawberry. I admittedly did not get to have any of our wedding cake that night, but everyone said it was tasty.
I'm a customer for life!
