Incredible Wedding Cake From Whipped Bakeshop

We ordered a tiered cinnamon bun–flavored wedding cake from Whipped Bakeshop, and it was absolutely out of this world. The flavor was incredible, and so many of our guests went out of their way to tell us how delicious it was. It was one of the best wedding cakes we have ever tasted.

Whipped Bakeshop was also very easy to work with throughout the entire process. The cake was beautifully designed, perfectly executed, and fit our wedding aesthetic so well. We felt genuinely proud to serve it to our guests.

We highly recommend Whipped Bakeshop to anyone looking for a gorgeous, delicious wedding cake and a smooth, stress-free experience.

Loved our wedding cake!

We had our wedding this July at the Franklin institute in Philadelphia who works with Whipped Bakeshop as one of their partnered bakers. Zoe and Whipped were so easy to work with and did a beautiful job with our cake! Our tasting was one of our favorite wedding planning experiences and there were lots of options from classics to more creative flavors. I was really happy we got to pick a couple of flavors, but still stay within a reasonable budget. Everyone commented on how tasty the lemon thyme cake was in particular. Zoe was also really kind and responsive to all of our questions and requests leading up to the day. Definitely recommended!

A Very Sweet Experience

First and foremost, Zoe is a gem of a human! Just the nicest person who happens to make very tasty baked goods.

We tried a few at-home tastings from bakeries in the area, and Whipped was the winner. During the planning process, Zoe provided a couple of design options for us to pick from, which I really appreciated.

My husband's 40th birthday was just a couple of weeks after our wedding so I knew I wanted to take advantage of having all of our people in one place and surprise him with a cake. I wanted to a "Sean's Favorite Things" cake: Philly sports, PS5, shrimp 😂 and Zoe and her team came up with the most delightful cake with the cutest/coolest designs and made sure we had a birthday sparkler.

The birthday cake was the cookies & cream (SO GOOD! and we didn't eat it until the day after the wedding) and for our wedding cake we did the lemon & thyme and strawberry. I admittedly did not get to have any of our wedding cake that night, but everyone said it was tasty.

I'm a customer for life!

Amazing cake!

Whipped was absolutely wonderful to work with! We went with the lemon thyme cake, tart lemon curd and vanilla meringue buttercream icing and Wow! We were absolutely blown away by our cake at our wedding!! Not only was it BEAUTIFUL it also was delicious!! We cannot recommend them enough. It was so unique and they were so easy to work with! The only complaint I would say (and this is rather small) is that they do not deliver if the cake is under $3000 I believe (may be mistaken but around there). We did not want a very large cake so that was not going to happen and we just had to make other arrangements.

Amazing bakery!

Zoe and Whipped Baked Shop is the BEST bakery I have ever worked with!!! Zoe is lovely, warm, and welcoming. She was very quick to respond to any emails and when it came close to the wedding date – she was always one step ahead of me – she was the one sending out emails and confirming details. She is on top of her game and one of the best vendors we had at the wedding.

And, then there was the cake – my daughter and son-in-law chose vanilla and mocha crunch – there was not one piece left over! Everyone raved about the cake!! Whipped Bake shop is the absolute best!!

Delicious cake and cupcakes!

Whipped Bakeshop did our wedding cake and cupcakes and we had a great experience with them. All the cupcakes flavors were fantastic; our guest particularly enjoyed the Italian almond and the funfetti flavors. Communication was prompt and professional. Would highly recommend!

A Stunning & Delicious Cake

I can't say enough good things about Whipped Bakeshop. Our cake was absolutely GORGEOUS and tasted even better! From start to finish, Whipped Bakeshop's process was so easy and helpful. Choosing wedding vendors is hard, but I promise you won't regret using them!

Wedding cake & cupcakes

Over 3 years ago I started to plan a wedding for my daughter. Then the world shut down due to Covid. We rescheduled and postponed several times but stayed with all the vendors we chose while planning. One of these was Whipped Bakeshop in Philadelphia. What a pleasure working with them. Zoe and her staff were amazing to work with. They were kind, patient, helpful and most importantly…the cake and cupcakes we selected were super delicious!! All our guests said they were some of the best they ever tasted!!! I recommend them 100%!! 🎂🧁💖 I give them a 5++++ review😀

Beautiful and delicious!

I cannot recommend whipped highly enough!! Zoe was amazing in working with us to design our perfect cake. It was so beautiful and tasted AMAZING! We also got some cookies with a watercolor of our dog that were adorable, delicious, and a huge hit with guests :) Thank you Zoe and team!!!

My Dream Wedding Cake !

I can not thank whipped bakeshop enough! They truly made us our dream wedding cake ! I knew I wanted something traditional, but with our spin to it and They did just that! I even got 4 different flavors bc I couldn’t pick just two And it tasted amazing!

Whipped is great!

We had a wonderful experience with Zoe and Whipped back in June. We found them relatively last-minute when our initial cake vendor closed for the pandemic. From start to finish, the folks at Whipped were professional, organized, and efficient. Our wedding cake was beautiful! Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience!

We loved our Whipped Bakeshop cake! Disclaimer, dessert is my favorite meal ever, so having a tasty wedding cake was very important to me and my husband. We probably tried 5-6 different bakeries and really could not find one that we liked until we found Whipped Bakeshop. The tasting process was so easy and Zoe is the sweetest, SO responsive (very important future brides!!! you want a responsive vendor), and the price was very reasonable. I can't tell you how easy it was to work with her and her team and the cake looked like perfection on the day of our wedding. We look forward to getting more tasty desserts and cakes from Whipped Bakeshop in the near future. I would highly encourage you to hire them!

Amazing! Highly recommend!

We loved our experience working with Whipped Bakeshop for our wedding. During COVID they did at at home tasting box that was perfect and we were able to try different cakes and icings. When we began steps of making a contract, they were so flexible with delivering the cake (they were unable to deliver it at their normal time, so they delivered it earlier in the day for us so that it was there on time!) They were very responsive with emails and always willing to help with questions! Our cake was beautiful and delicious - all of our guests raved about it!

Whipped Wedding Cake (and favor cookies!)

Whipped Bakeshop created the cake (and cookie favors!) of our dreams for our wedding. We contacted them on short notice due to rescheduling our wedding as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and they were more than happy to assist with a quick turnaround. We worked with Jess who understood exactly what we wanted. Our cake was three tiers and we were able to have each tier be a different flavor, which was awesome! They created beautiful peonies for our simple and elegant cake. The cookie favors were custom created as well, to look like our cake (and they added our initials). Overall this was a great and delicious experience. We already want to go back for more!

Beyond Expectations

We cannot begin to express our gratitude for Whipped Bakeshop! Our cake for our wedding was absolutely perfect! But, beyond how it looked... was how it tasted! Everyone raved how delicious the coconut was! And, the mother of the bride and mother of the groom who are serious about their sweets went back for seconds (thirds)! So easy to work with Zoe and so happy to have found Whipped Bakeshop!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHOP! My FH and I went for a tasting and we fell in love , Zoe is the Absolute best she helped us realize our dream cake , we can't wait to see the final product . If you want a personalized experience with a professional person who takes in everything you want in a wedding cake and makes your dream cake a reality then this is the place for you. Whipped Bakeshop was amazing! I found a photo online that we wanted for our cake and I sent it over to them and they were able to do it no problem! Since we had mini desserts, we opted for a smaller two-tier cake. The bottom layer was vanilla with espresso filling and the top layer was chocolate truffle (THE BEST!). They were great to work with and great at delivering everything on time!

Whipped provided us with the exact kind of cake we were looking for. Our dessert was waffles & ice cream for our wedding, so we just needed a single tier, simple cake for the photos / tradition of cutting the cake. We ordered five different types of cupcakes and a mini cake "topper" for cake cutting from Whipped Bakeshop. My husband and I attended a tasting at Whipped and met with Lisa, who was pleasant and very helpful. Overall, Zoe and her staff were wonderful to work with and the cupcakes were delicious. Many of our guests were raving about them both during and after the wedding! Additionally, Zoe and her staff delivered the cupcakes to our venue (Barn at Ridgeland Mansion in Fairmount Park) and set them up beautifully. I highly recommend Whipped Bakeshop for weddings or other events.

The cake was AMAZING - we received a ton of compliments (even weeks after the wedding) and everyone loved the choice of vanilla OR carrot cake!

A lot of cake places get raves reviews on WeddingWire, but after tasting cake from 5 different vendors, I can truly say that Whipped is exceptional. We wanted a chocolate wedding cake with chocolate frosting and Whipped nailed it. Whipped make a truly outstanding cake that not only tasted fabulous, but also looked wonderful! We are very fussy about food and had a clear vision for our cake - moist, chocolatey and rich, but not too rich. No one uses better quality or tasting chocolate than Whipped and the results really showed. Everyone raved about the cake! Working with Whipped was truly a pleasure. We had strange experiences with other vendors, one of which was not respectful that we are a same sex couple, another who reminded us repeatedly that our cake wouldn't be white, as if we are stupid! Whipped was engaged, embracing and most of all, wanted to please us. They came up with a design that exactly suited our tastes. It was so much fun to look at our cake table all night and salivate over our chocolate masterpiece. We loved the cake so much, we decided to eat our anniversary cake far before our anniversary and order a new one for the actual anniversary!

I used Whipped Bake Shop for my Engagement Party Cake, Wedding Cake & my husbands Birthday cake this year and every time they went above and beyond to do a fantastic job!! They gave us the most spectacular & beautiful wedding cake i've ever seen! Zoe took my vision and created a beautiful masterpiece that was better than I could have dreamed of! The Whipped Bakeshop Team is so talented and not only does amazing work but their cakes are delicious too! Zoe from whipped bakeshop was a pleasure to work with. She worked with us and our budget to make us a cake that would work for us and our guest count. Her cake was by far the most delicious wedding cake I have ever tasted, and our wedding guests all agreed. It was also beautiful.

The cake was gorgeous, and it tasted incredible. People came up to us throughout the night to tell us how delicious it was. Zoe was very accommodating throughout the process, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. I did a lot of "research" (of the tasting and Flickr-account-viewing variety) before I selected Whipped Bakeshop, and it all paid off. It was one of the highlights of the best night of my life!

I used Whipped Bakeshop for a small cutting cake for our wedding in October. We decided the cake was one area we wanted to save but still wanted something really lovely to cut for the photographer. Zoe took our limited budget and made a showstopper of a cake! Exactly what I had envisioned, so cute and so much attention to detail. We liked them so much we decided to use them for a graduation party and that cake was a knockout as well. We will definitely use them for all our events going forward!

Working with Zoe on our wedding cake was a dream - and perhaps the easiest part of our wedding planning! My husband and I enjoyed a lovely cake tasting, which made it hard to choose on our flavors because everything was SO GOOD. We ultimately went with Red Velvet and Coconut - and our guests couldn't stop raving about how good the cake was! Zoe was willing to style the cake however we wanted - which was simple - and was nothing but wonderful! I would certainly go back to get another cake (or cupcakes!) for any other event we may hold. You cannot go wrong with Whipped!

From the start, we knew we wanted cupcakes. After a friend recommended this place on a whim, we decided that it would be worth it to check out this place, which was near our house-- rather than our wedding venue. Amongst the other numerous compliments we got about our wedding, many people commented on our cupcakes! One of the great things about cupcakes is that you get a variety of flavors. This can also be a problem! Since every cupcake's flavor was so good-- and since they all LOOKED beautiful-- most people couldn't eat but just one! Sometimes, when I see the great cakes that they hatch up for weddings-- the artistry involved is just unreal-- I almost wish we'd gone with a cake. So whether you're in it for a beautiful cake--unique or traditional-- or a cupcake tier, like we had, check out Whipped! It was worth the hassle of having to transport the confections from one state to the next.

Zoe at Whipped Bakeshop is so sweet and nice she made picking out our flavors and type of cake a breeze! Our rustic wedding cake was gorgeous and delicious! We had the top layers in vanilla and the bottom layer was their seasonal pumpkin spice which fit our fall wedding perfectly. Both flavors are to die for and the icing is so creamy! Everyone loved the cake and I can't wait to dig into our top layer on our anniversary! She even sent us a little hand written thank you note in the mail which I thought was a nice touch and really made us feel valued. Go try one of their cupcakes and trust me, you'll be hooked!

Our wedding cake and groom's cake were both beautifully made and incredibly delicious! My husband collects old 45 records so the groom's cake was made to look like an old jukebox, and it was such a huge hit. They are geniuses, and are super friendly and professional to work with. They have so many yummy flavors to choose from. I'm so glad we chose them to make our cakes for our big day!

We ordered four flavors: Vanilla, red velvet w/ buttercream, chocolate peanut butter, and carrot cake. The first three were all my favorites, and I plan on finding an excuse to order them for family parties from now on. I’m not even a big cake person, but these were phenomenal. After the wedding, we froze some so we could eat them throughout the next week or so. They all kept beautifully and were somehow still moist when we thawed them out. AMAZING.

They came to set up the cupcakes and our venue loved them, even though they had never worked together before. Everything was done perfectly and well in advance. We had nothing to worry about. Definitely suggest them!

The Whipped Bakeshop is one of the most incredible businesses I have ever dealt with! Zoe is awesome - she really takes the time to make sure it is the way you want it. We did real simple vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with a small round cake to cut in to for our wedding. I love cupcakes and the bakeshop did not disappoint. They were light and delicious! We sent everyone home with at least one and many were eaten right then and there. When my husband and I got back from our honeymoon Zoe had sent us a handwritten thank you note for using their business. I heard nothing but good things about their product, but to have them go above and beyond in their customer service should be a standard for every business! They are a true gem and can't wait to use them again! (or just pop in for a scrumptious cupcake)

We did not use Whipped for a wedding cake only because we did not want cake in favor of pumpkin pie, however, we did use Whipped for cupcakes and a birthday cake for the after-party which were both DELICIOUS. Zoe was incredibly responsive either time my mom or I contacted her and Whipped delivered the cake and cupcakes directly or our after party location. Both the cake and cupcakes were incredibly moist (and still are almost a week later) and tasty. I would recommend Whipped for any celebration that calls for cake!

Based upon the reviews and the quality of their cakes we thought Whipped would have been a much more expensive bakery for our wedding cake but we were wrong.

They were fantastic to deal with, definitely willing to accomindate and make changes no problem. Their cakes were delicious, we had red velvet and lemon with lemon curd and raspberry buttercream, both were out of this world. They also added an extra cake just to be sure we had enough a week before the wedding.

They were wonderful to deal with, had a phenominal cake at a very reasonable price and I would highly, highly recommend them.

Whipped Bakery is the best in Philadelphia! We had our wedding at Appleford in Villanova and boy did they deliver!!! We ordered regular and mini cupcakes, as well a a personalized cake and a grooms cake in the shape of a fire hat. Everything was delicious, beautiful and made to order! We could not have had a better dessert buffet!! Thank you Zoe!!!

Whipped provide professional, responsive service from my first phone to even after the wedding. Zoe and her team are creative, relaxed, and fun to work with. They put up with my not so flat tree stump to serve the cake on. The cake was fantastic both in taste and design. We received many compliments on how tasty it was and not just in the realm of wedding cakes. If you are interested in supporting small, local businesses, Whipped is the way to go!

I walked into Whipped Bakeshop on a whim while driving through Fishtown. I had just gotten engaged and it was still early in the planning stages for my June 2011 wedding. Honestly, I hadn't even researched any places yet, and I definitely did not know I was walking into a 'Best of Philly' winner and, in my opinion, perhaps the best bakery in the city. Zoe Lucas and her team at Whipped Bakeshop were fantastic to work with. I couldn't have found a better place to help with planning and creating our wedding cake. We actually decided to do cupcakes instead of the traditional cake to keep it fun and to give our guests more than the usual wedding cake fare. My husband and I don't care for vanilla or pound cake, so the cupcake option really let us have some fun and also please a variety of taste buds. So, we had various flavors, about 6 different kinds, from vanilla, to chocolate, to even carrot cake. Zoe was great about being flexible with our choices and was super helpful with suggestions or ideas that we might like (...and we usually did- her ideas were always pretty awesome and well received). Also, she was so quick to get back to us, either via email or with a return phone call, when we had questions or wanted to confirm anything. As for the cupcakes themselves, saying they were delicious does not come near to doing them justice. Utterly fantastic. My favorite was the PB & J, a cupcake filled with raspberry coulis and topped with peanut butter frosting. They all were good really. We also had a small little cake for the top of our cupcake tower so we had something to cut- Passion Fruit icing atop a Buttercream cake I believe- and the cake was just as amazing as the cupcakes were- moist, light, fluffy. Obviously I am a fan of Whipped Bakeshop, but what's not to like? They're friendly, flexible, prompt, fairly priced, and passionate about what they do. And what they do is downright delicious.

I will start by saying that we still have wedding cupcakes in our freezer and they are just as good as they were on June 18th!! We hired Whipped to do our wedding cake and cupcakes after several other tastings and I'm so glad we did! Zoe's cupcakes are not only delicious, but creative and the perfect size! From the get go, she was easy to work with and sent multiple design options to me via email. Everyone at the bakery was very responsive and the process couldn't have been easier. The cake was exactly how I pictured it and our guests are still raving!!

Zoe at Whipped Bakeshop created the most delicious wedding cake I have ever had! I knew I wanted a simple, elegant cake. Taste was the most important factor. After our tasting at the shop, it was difficult to choose so we got a 3 tiered cake with two different flavors -- raspberry creme and lemon pound cake for the top two tiers and banana and chocolate ganache for the bottom. My favorite was the banana and chocolate. Everyone raved about what a beautiful and delicious cake we had!

Deciding on the bakery we would go with was definitley the most fun! Whipped Bake Shop delivered delicious cupcakes and a beautiful presentation all at a very resonable cost. I would reccomend Whipped Bake Shop to every bride. Zoe was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would give them a 10 star rating if possible :)

Our wedding "cake" was phenomenal! My husband had a unique idea for our cake. When he presented his idea to the owner, Zoe, she was more than willing to create our dream cake. The cake (a clam shell with replicas of our rings as the pearls) was surrounded by cupcakes (waves), brown sugar (sand) and figurines of the two of us in swim suits. It was a hit! Our guests could not stop talking about it and taking photos. And everything was delicious. We couldn't give out the bakeries information fast enough. Whipped Bake Shop is the absolute best!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Zoe from Whipped bakeshop. She made us the most beautiful cupcakes we gave out to our guests as favors and she also created the cutest, whimsical garden themed wedding cake. The cupcakes and cake looked so pretty on display during the reception and I couldn't be more delighted by how they turned out. Everyone was raving about how delicious her cupcakes were--so moist and light!!! To this day my friends still talk about how yummy they were = ) Zoe is so easy to work with, and is very attentive to detail. Her creations are almost too beautiful to eat, but once you've had a bite--you won't be able to put it down. Let's just say my husband and I went through the half dozen cupcakes in the parking lot when we were going to taste just "one" ; )

I wish I could give Whipped Bakeshop 10 stars!! That's how awesome Zoe and her team are. I originally contacted Whipped Bakeshop only to do the cookies for my bridal shower and our rehearsal dinner. Our venue offered a discount if we used their bakery for our wedding cake. But after we discussed our idea for a Philadelphia themed cake, I was sure the venue wouldn't be able to give us what we wanted. We asked Whipped Bakeshop to step in and that was one of the best decisions we made during the entire wedding planning process. They are extremely professional and reasonably priced. (Their price was even better than the venue's discounted cake.) Not to mention they are amazing artists and wonderful bakers!

We ended up with 3 tiers, 2 different flavors of cake and a yummy fresh fruit filling. They decorated the cake to look like the Philadelphia skyline with different city landmarks and a mini edible LOVE statute for the cake topper. How cool is that!?! It literally took my breath away when I saw it for the first time. The guests were also very impressed!! During the reception, we had to do the cake cutting later than expected because there was actually a line of people that wanted to take pictures WITH THE CAKE before it was cut!! That's how beautiful the cake was! AND every bite was delicious. The guests couldn't stop raving about how yummy it was. The cake was gone before anyone even touched the Dessert Station.

I can't thank Whipped Bakeshop enough for making the cake of my dreams! I give them the highest possible rating and recommend them to everyone!

PS The cookies for the shower and the rehearsal dinner were also a big hit!

It's been 3 years since Zoe at Whipped Bakeshop made the cake for our wedding, and we're still talking about it anytime someone brings up the topic of weddings. We wanted something that looked terrific but could actually stand on it's own in the flavor department as well. It was phenomenal. Zoe made an elegant cake with marzipan leaves to match the autumn theme. It was chocolate with layers of orange infused ganache and Grand Marnier whipped cream covered with buttercream frosting. Absolutely delicious, moist, creamy. We froze the top layer wrapped in foil and freezer paper and it came out on our anniversary just as tasty as they day it was made. Whipped Bakeshop will make a cake that will last in your memory long after you've devoured every last crumb. -Jason and Megan

I had this idea to commission a groom's cake for my wedding. My husband LOVES the Muppets (as do I) and thought a Muppet cake would be the perfect surprise. I found Zoe at Whipped via the web, was amazed by the images on her website and sent her an e-mail. She responded very soon after and was incredibly cool, cheerful and excited about my idea for the cake. We e-mailed back and forth a few times and each exchange was fun and easy. I knew I'd picked the right baker. And that was long before I actually saw the final product?the cake was PERFECT! She did an incredibly amazing job. Kermit and Piggy atop the beautiful round cake were exact replicas of the Muppets and looked beyond adorable. The absolute best part was how UTTERLY DELICIOUS the cake was! I couldn't believe it. I feel like sometimes, if you want a really decorative or quirkily-designed cake, you sacrifice flavor. Not at Whipped. It's the whole shebang, truly.

I highly, highly recommend Whipped?working with Zoe was a pleasure! She does incredible work.

So many people at my wedding said "you never remember the taste of someone's wedding cake, but we will definitely remember the taste of yours!" It was so delicious. We had almond cake with raspberry icing.
It was decorated very sparingly and elegantly with seashells! BIG BIG HIT!

Although expensive, the cake was delicious. People were raving about it after the wedding for weeks. The caterer sent us home with big chunks of cake, so one suggestion I can make is to not order a peice of cake for everyone at the wedding, since not everyone will eat it. This will save you some dough (no pun intended!) but you'll still get a beautiful delicious dessert.

I preferred the cake at another bakery, so we only used Whipped for our wedding favors, and this of a review of those -- the Love & Liberty cookies. The cookies were beautifully decorated, tasted delicious, had a long shelf life, and were able to be customized to our wedding colors. These cookies are a little pricey but totally worth it and they are such a cute favor for a Philadelphia wedding.

I chose Whipped Bakeshop for my wedding cake based on the pictures of other cakes that they had created, as well as their wonderful reviews on every website. I felt so strongly about working with them based on these two factors that I never even tasted the cake before the reception. I wasn't disappointed! Our cake wasn't cheap, but I knew that Zoe and her team were the only option for us; every other bakery that we came across either seemed to specialize in very traditional cakes, which just wasn't us, or focused mainly on providing a big selection of pastries rather than a single, elaborate cake. Zoe was so sweet in our exchanges and was great about providing us with updated information in response to the changes that we made in the course of designing the perfect cake. Having the cake delivered was an extra charge, but I really didn't want any of our friends or family to have the burden of ensuring that the cake got to us in one piece (literally), so I was extremely happy that they offered this option. The cake turned out beautifully and was delicious and enjoyed by all (red velvet really is the best cake flavor).

What a cake! I wanted to surprise my soon-to-be husband with a Flyers groom's cake the night of our rehearsal dinner. Boy did they hit it on the nose! The Flyers hat was so realistic that people couldn't believe it was a cake! Almond pound cake...mmmmmmmm!

Cake tasting at Whipped was one of our *favorite* wedding planning moments. We felt like part scientist, part restaurant reviewer and part happy couple. We went with red velvet cake and buttercream icing and got RAVES about it from our guests. Zoe (and Brennan) were incredibly accommodating and helped us work out a logistical hurdle for the delivery. She also designed the cake in the style of our invitation--a subtle but appreciated touch.

We actually didn't get our wedding cake through them, rather "LOVE" cookies that were one of the wedding favors for the guests. The cookies looked beautiful and tasted great! Zoe is super-sweet and very accomodating. She was even able to match the blue of our wedding to the blue silkscreen on the cookie. She gave us free samples (which my husband was thrilled about) to make sure we had a tasting of what we were going to get. Delivery charge was a fantastic rate and all of the cookies arrived in one piece!

The only negative would be the price ($5.50 per cookie). We looked at a few vendors and they were the most expensive but went with Zoe as we liked her customer service. We would definitely recommend this vendor to others, just be prepared to pay a little more. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for!

We used Whipped Bakeshop to purchase our wedding cake. We read about the amazing reviews online so we decided to give it a try. I went to the tasting by myself (my husband was working) but I was able to bring samples home to him. The process was great, and we were able to customize the cake entirely. We also were having our wedding outside the area where they normally deliver but they agreed to deliver for a little upcharge (no problem there). The tasting was amazing. The flavors were delicious and we were so excited for our cake. The day of the wedding, my husband and I both found the cake very dried out. Thinking that maybe we were just being picky we just put it to the side and continued on our night. The next day, and other days thereafter we met up with people who were at the wedding, and they all commented that the wedding was great, but they weren't impressed with the cake. I'm not sure if something happened since all the reviews on here are excellent. The cupcakes I've purchased from here are amazing, so I would definitely recommend them in that department!

Please note, the following review is based solely on my Customer Service experience of this bakery, and I have not personally tried their baked goods. However, from the bad taste (pun intended!) my interaction with this business has left in my mouth, I am hesitant to further consider this bakery for my wedding needs. Trying to schedule a tasting with them was a disaster. They do not offer tastings for weddings smaller than 75, which is ok, but Carissa was very rude on the phone. When I finally convinced her to let me try their sample boxes, there was too much back and forth trying to schedule the pick up. She was very unprofessional and audibly moaned and groaned throughout the entire conversation trying to accommodate my needs. I had to pay for my tasting box upfront, she did not give me the option to pay at pick up. Also, I had to convince her to let me pick up my cake since they don't deliver to where my venue is and are closed on Sundays. Carissa did not give me the option to pick up, I had to ask her to let me pick up, and her attitude was as if she were doing me a favor by letting me choose them as my wedding cake vendor. Carissa charged my credit card twice, in the wrong amount. She called me stating that my card was declined and when I explained to her that the transactions already ran twice, she was in a huff and said nothing went through on her end. She asked me to contact my bank to reverse the charges and call her back and ask to reprocess the transaction. All in all a very distasteful, unprofessional interaction. Not a good quality in a potential vendor. If I am spending upwards of $400 for flour and sugar, I expect a better and professional attitude.
