Blackbird Pastries is a wedding cake and pastry company based in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, also serving New Jersey and Delaware. Owner Lindsey Milicia holds a degree in baking and pastry arts from Johnson & Wales University. Growing up in an Italian family where dessert was held dear, Lindsey’s passion for pastries grew into a career. She creates exquisite wedding cakes and desserts from scratch using only the freshest ingredients.

Blackbird Pastries offers an extensive selection of cake and filling flavors ranging from traditional chocolate and vanilla to lavender, pistachio, and coconut. Couples can indulge in a personalized tasting for their favorite flavors to help them select their final cake and filling option(s). Lindsey can also accommodate dietary requirements including gluten- and dairy-free, vegan, and organic. Soon-to-be newlyweds can also enhance their guests’ dessert experience with cupcakes and pastries.

Amazing!
Lindsey is the absolute best ! She was always so quick to respond and seriously made the whole experience a breeze! My original baker backed out and I was in a rush to find a new one and quick! Lindsey was so helpful and really reassured me that everything would be fine and worked with me even though I swear I was difficult, haha! I started recommending her even before our wedding! The cake turned out beautiful and so delicious! I will definitely be using her again in the future.

Elegant design and tasted delicious
During covid, our at home tasting was perfect! My partner and I mixed and matched flavors and it was difficult to choose because they were all delicious. On the day, our cake was delivered and beautifully assembled. Lindsay took care to add greenery to our cake at the venue and provide us with a unique stand. Everyone commented on how the cake was lovely and I can't wait to have it again on our anniversary!

Beautiful and tasty cake
Lindsey is a true artist when it comes to wedding cakes and ours was no exception. I gave Lindsey a picture to use and she nailed the recreation of it. Not only was the cake beautiful, our guests raved about the taste as well. To quote my grandfather: “ If your marriage is as good as your wedding cake, it will be heaven on Earth!” I highly recommend Blackbird pastries for all your baking needs. I’m so happy I found her on Wedding Wire.

Cookie bar was great
Lindsey was very friendly and professional. Everyone loved the cookie bar at the wedding. I love that she did them with three different flavors.

Amazing - start to finish!
Calling all non-traditional AND traditional brides!! Lindsey is an incredible baker and person. She not only turned my vision into a reality but she was so responsive and helped me out with the finer details I had trouble with. She’s able to do the simplest designs to the most detailed designs and everything in between...and at a more than reasonable price! Not to mention everything she creates is a delicious as it looks. She is my preferred baker for any and all occasions. There’s not a doubt in my mind that she could make the most perfect cake for your wedding, too!

Lindsey is AMAZING!!
Our experience with Blackbird Pastries was flawless. Working with Lindsey was very easy- she had great ideas and suggestions for everything. My husband and I decided to do a whoopie pie bar instead of cake for all of our guests, but didn’t really know how to execute that idea. Lindsey took that idea and ran with it and it worked out perfectly. We also did a small naked cake (chocolate peanut butter- soooo good!) for our cake cutting topped with some fresh berries AND a beautiful Tiffany’s inspired birthday cake for my mother-in-law! They were both spot on! I highly recommend using Blackbird Pastries for your next special occasion- you will not be disappointed!!!

Easy & extraordinary!
I was referred to Lindsey by my cousin who used her for her for a variety of cakes for her wedding and her cakes were beautiful and so tasty - everyone was raving about them.
We used her for my Bridal shower and again, nothing but great feedback from guests and my family loved their cake.
And finally, I used her for my wedding. My wedding was in NJ and had a lot of of do-it -yourself and components- so a lot of moving parts. Lindsey worked with my budget, time and the cake was gorgeous, delish and everything we wanted.
She made the process easy while providing a wonderful product.
Only have GREAT things to say about her! Highly recommend by me.

Exceeded Expectations!
Lindsey was great to work with! We changed our large reception to a micro-wedding due to Covid with not much notice, but she was so flexible and accommodating with us. She also gave us some ideas to help us have some fun with our cakes and created three: one was a cake to match our theme, one was a first date cake (a roulette wheel with the ball landing on our wedding date), and another was a Corona cake (she even added mini corona bottles with actual Corona in them to the top of the cake)! They tasted even better than they looked. I also highly recommend the pretzel flavor cake - it’s so unique and delicious! We got so many compliments on our cake and can’t wait to see what our cake will look like at our postponed reception next year! Thanks Lindsey!!
