About
Congratulations on your wedding!
We are a team of NY wedding officiants who provide creative and personalized civil wedding ceremonies, in traditional, contemporary, or international formats. All our ceremonies are conducted by Certified Marriage Officiants legally registered with the City of New York (similar to a Justice of the Peace). We work with you to design a simple, meaningful civil ceremony, which incorporates your wishes and traditions.
Known as the "New York Wedding Grannies", because we are all New York grandmothers, we have wide experience; from small personal ceremonies and elopements to family-size weddings and larger gatherings. We will come to your location of choice and perform a personal wedding service to suit your wishes. We may be grandmothers, but we're intrepid, and have married people at dawn and at midnight, on bridges, boats and balconies. Ceremony locations have included Central Park, Prospect Park, City Hall Park, gardens, lofts, hotels, museums, restaurants, private homes, and even unusual venues such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Coney Island, and other popular New York spots. We have other suggested locations on our websites. We're happy to provide advice and suggestions (at no charge, of course) on how to arrange a simple New York civil wedding.
Let us know your proposed date and location, and we will respond with availability, sample ceremonies and sample fees.
We offer reasonable rates, warm, personal service.

We were married by Eileen Regan on 1st September and we are very grateful to her for helping to making our ceremony so perfect. We came over from Scotland to get married in New York. Unfortunately, we only arrived one day before the wedding so we were unable to meet with Eileen beforehand. However, this did not affect our day. Eileen was very friendly and put us at ease right away.
Eileen kept in touch regularly and offered help from my initial contact until the day of the wedding, which helped to make the organisation of a wedding abroad very easy.

Mary Beaty, Clergy - performed our civil cermony in Central Park, Manhattan on the morning of May 24th 2009 at the Ladies Pavilion (77th Street and Central Park West). Ms. Beaty was ever present from the very beggining of our planning and was in consent contact to reassure us that our day would be perfect, and it was. She is a lovely woman and remains in good standing with both my husband and myself. We feel blessed that she was available on our chosen date. Feedback from family and friends who attended our ceremony gave praise to Mary Beaty for her professionalism and friendliness. Mary truly made our day perfect as well as with her suggestion on the location for our ceremony.

It was such a pleasure working with Mary. Initially I found her website and thought that it was a great resource for planning a NYC wedding from Illinois. After reading a bit more, I decided that a wedding in Central Park would be a more romantic setting for our elopement. I contacted Mary and she guided me through the entire process. Her recommendations were always very helpful and they proved to be well grounded. Finally coming to the wedding day, she is such a positive person and really shows how much she enjoys her work. It turned out to be a bit rainy on our wedding day. She helped come up with an alternate plan, but we made it work in Central Park after all. Recommending Mary is my pleasure and I hope it leads to more people finding out what a great person she is to celebrate with.

Mary went out of her way and made us feel like we were the only wedding important to her. We had a very small elopement wedding and I'm sure not her highest paying clients but nonetheless, she treated us as valued customers. The few weeks before our wedding Mary was traveling and had to contact us through email and celphone. She was arriving back to New York the night before and called us immediately to finalize details. The weather did not cooperate so we had to change locations and the next morning our best man was on a train that was delayed over an hour, none of this upset Mary in the least and she was very flexible. She maintained the same positive attitude she had during all of our planning discussions and her delivery of our ceremony was beautiful. Another little thing that really made a difference is when I arrived at the alter I was quite emotional and didn't really know where I should stand. Mary was very good about discreetly guiding us to the right place so the photographer could get the photos which turned out beautiful. When Mary left after the ceremony all of our guests commented on how great she was and how lucky we were to have someone with such a wealth of knowledge. Also, after we arrived home from an extended honeymoon we realized that our marriage liscence never arrived. We called Mary and she took this very seriously. She faxed my husband over the information we needed to confirm our ceremony without delay and when we brought it to the court house, they rectified their error immediately. She certainly offered us alot of service and integrity before, during and after the ceremony. We couldn't have pulled it off without her and I highly recommend her.

Mary Beaty was quite simply the perfect choice of officiant for us. We were eloping from New Zealand and she made our wedding in New York so very easy and special. We were both nervous on the day but she put us right at ease and the ceremony was perfect in every way. We would definitely recommend Mary to any couple planning their wedding. We'll always remember Mary - she has a special place in our hearts.

Working with Mary was fantastic. We live 3 and 1/2 hours from NYC, and she really helped make the planning and actual wedding day completely pain-free. She not only provided excellent recommendations when necessary, but also took the time to get to know us as a couple to ensure the wedding ceremony was just what we wanted.

When it came to the planning of our wedding, New York had always been top of our agenda when tying the knot........what better way to marry the man of your dreams in the city of your dreams?!
However, in a city of infinite options and possibilities, choosing the right officiant when you're across the pond in the UK did stump us with a bit of a problem.
However after stumbling across Mary Beaty's site, we realised that we needn't have worried, because even from the first e-mail response we had (within the hour!) we knew that we'd found the right person to marry us and send us on our way on our next chapter.
I really couldn't fault Mary, she was professional, friendly and totally on our level with the service that we wanted, even when I was e-mailing her with question after question, she was always there, ready and willing to answer any questions we may have and advise us.
We arrived in New York 4 days before the wedding and arranged to meet up with Mary for a coffee the day before and go over our vows and the plans for the next day.
We needn't have worried about a thing, Mary was an absolute star and we kept on having to pinch ourselves that we'd found 'the one' as she totally got where we coming from on every level imaginable.
The wedding took place at the top of Rockefeller Centre at 3:00pm on Monday 1st December, Mary was a gem, helping to find a quite spot to hold the service before heading outside for photo's.
We still can't believe that we had the service we'd always dreamed of, at a mere fraction of the price of traditional weddings, it was truly perfect in every way.
If you're thinking of getting married in New York, then Mary and Beth are the ladies for you!

We booked Mary over the internet having found her details on this site. She was friendly, helpful with loads of advice and suggestions which was very reassuring for us booking our wedding from abroad. When we met Mary we were totally taken with her very bubbly personality. She made our wedding into a totally incredible and unique experience. Our guests thought that our service was beautiful and Mary was loved by all. We can never thank her enough for her contribution to our magical day and the cost seemed almost trivial for what she provided. Mary has kept contact with us since the wedding and we would totally recommend her to anyone!

Weddings of New York consistently provided me with rapid fast responses for any questions I had. Their professionalism and courteousness never wavered, and I booked them without any doubt of the smoothness of our impending ceremony. I had total peace of mind with them, and within the hour of my first e-mail to Mary and receiving her response, I knew she should be the one to marry us! You won't be disappointed.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
I have worked with both Mary and Beth and can highly recommend both of them.
Both ceremonies were elopements in Central Park where besides the couple only the officiant and I were present.
It makes these ceremonies very special and intimate.
Both Mary and Beth gave a warm and personal ceremony.
Looking forward to working with them again and again!
I have worked with the ladies of weddings of new york on numerous weddings and elopements. I as a wedding professional cannot recommend them enough. They are full of knowledge, experience and love for all things regarding weddings and New York!
