Hi, I'm Greg, bandleader and sax player for Uptown Drive. For more than ten years we've been playing weddings around Austin, and the thing couples tell us most is that nobody sat down all night.

That's by design. Courtney and Quiesean don't stay behind the mic stands. They're out on the floor with your guests, getting your dad to sing along, dancing with your flower girl, and dragging your groomsmen into the middle of the circle. We read the room all night and play to it, so the people who came to dance get their moment and the people who swore they wouldn't dance usually end up out there too.

We also put real work into the show. The singers and horns have choreography for a lot of our songs, and our sets are built so one song runs right into the next. It looks sharp on the dance floor and even better in your photos and video.

The band in our videos is the band at your wedding, with the same musicians playing together at every event. We don't send a stand-in version of the band on busy weekends, and we don't fill the stage with players we met that afternoon. When you book us, you're booking us.

Every one of us is a career musician. You'll get lead vocals from Courtney and Quiesean, Drew on drums, Johnny on bass, Jason on guitar and keys, me on sax and guitar, and Mike and Daniel on trumpet and trombone. Depending on the size of your party, we perform as a 6, 7 or 8 piece band, always pulled from that same group. We've played hundreds of shows together, and you can hear it.

I also emcee every wedding we play. I'll work with your planner on the timeline and handle your introductions, first dance, parent dances, toasts and cake cutting so you don't have to think about any of it. Sound, stage lighting and DJ music during our breaks are all included, so the dance floor stays busy from the first set to your send-off. We can play your ceremony and cocktail hour too.

The song list goes from Motown, soul, funk and disco to 80s, 90s, 2000s and current hits. Send us your must-play and do-not-play songs, and if there's something special you want for your first dance or a family dance, we'll learn it.

We play Austin and Hill Country venues like Camp Lucy, Four Seasons Hotel Austin, The LINE Austin, Austin Country Club, Pecan Springs Ranch and The Videre Estate, and we regularly travel to San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Denver, Aspen, Vail and Beaver Creek for weddings.
