Best party band I've ever seen

Just book Uptown Drive for your wedding or event - trust us! My spouse and I had incredibly high expectations for our wedding band and Uptown Drive not only met those expectations, but shattered them in every way possible. From the moment the band started playing, our guests were completely hooked and never left the dancefloor.

The band members are truly top-tier musicians and their talent was evident from the very first song. They played a fantastic mix of songs that had everyone up and dancing all night long. Even better, they were able to read the crowd and play the perfect songs to keep the energy going throughout the entire reception.

Working with Greg (their band leader) was awesome. He was incredibly professional and responsive, making the planning process stress-free and enjoyable. On the night of the wedding, the band was punctual, well-prepared, and truly went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly.

All in all, Uptown Drive was an amazing investment and one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. It’s the best party band I’ve ever seen.

Best is the Biz

Uptown Drive was absolutely phenomenal! From the very first song to the last dance of the night, they brought so much energy, talent, and joy to our celebration. The music was selection just what we asked for, honoring our "No-Play" list, and our guest stayed on the floor all night.
Not only are they incredibly talented musicians, but they were also professional, easy to work with, and truly cared about making our day special. Greg, we will always remember your kindness.
Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made, and we could not recommend them more highly!

Amazing!!!!

We recently had the pleasure of having Uptown Drive perform at our wedding, and I can't recommend them enough. Their talent was absolutely phenomenal, captivating all of our guests with an amazing playlist that kept everyone on the dance floor. Their communication leading up to the event was impeccable, ensuring that every detail was perfect from start to finish. On top of that, they were incredibly kind and professional, making them such an easy vendor to work with. If you're looking for a band that will elevate your event and create unforgettable memories, this is the one! I have had multiple friends use them and we have all been so happy with the outcome.

Love this band!

My husband Marshall and I absolutely LOVED having Uptown Drive at our wedding reception. They bring so much energy and thoughtfulness to what they do and it adds a whole new dynamic to your event. I'll never forget my husband teaming up with them to sing an Oasis song to me. That memory will stick with me forever. If you're looking for a live band for your wedding, this is the one to book. Best band!

We had the most EPIC wedding thanks to Uptown Drive! They were absolutely AMAZING! Everyone who attended our wedding was also impressed with how engaging they were. Our guests could not stop raving about this band!! Uptown Drive truly delivered an incredible live performance. They had everyone singing and dancing all night long.

Magical Evening with Magical Tunes

From the opening number to the closing number, this band went above and beyond our expectations of what a wedding band should look. sound, and groove like. Their energy during each song was just as enthusiastic as the one that came before and could not have sounded better when performing. In addition to this, the vocal quality was absolutely incredible. Any wedding party would be lucky to have this wonderful band perform for their special day.

Truly AMAZING Inside and Out

Uptown Drive is the BEST of the best. They truly love what they do and are so talented. The members are always the same! We saw them at a best friend's wedding and had to see them again. Greg was so genuine and fun and wonderful to work with. We seriously are speechless! We were so excited to see them all again, but it was absolutely above and beyond being the actual Bride and Groom. Everyone was on the dance floor before dinner! No prompts! Our family and friends have not stopped talking about Uptown Drive. We are truly walking away with core memories and they truly all have such a huge part to play in that. We want to see them all again and stay in touch! My husband and I told ourselves we would never bully another bride and groom into doing something or dump all my opinions on them, but truly begging you to reach out. They won’t let you down and are the best people aside from amazing performers. We love you Uptown Drive!

The Most Fun!

Nothing beats a live band, and Uptown Drive truly knows how to deliver. They’re not only incredibly talented musicians but also phenomenal performers who know how to party and keep everyone entertained! We were completely blown away by their energy and stage presence, and everyone was on the dance floor all night long. They brought so much fun and excitement that no one wanted the night to end!

Hire hire hire!!!

An absolute show stopper! Uptown Drive the THE band the hire. No questions asked. I had the time of my life at my wedding because of them and they did an outstanding job at keeping my husband and I, AND all of our guests, on the dance floor all night. Greg and the band were even able to learn a very meaningful song for me so they could sing it during our dinner set. Seriously, you will regret not hiring this amazing band!! I received SO many compliments from my guests about how great they were too, which my guests having a blast at the wedding is all a bride could ask for!

WOW, amazing band!

Uptown Drive was recommended by our event planners, and we were absolutely blown away by their performance! Our team did most of the interfacing with the band, but Greg was incredibly responsive on the few occasions we did reach out directly. Pretty much everyone who attended our party commented on the band being the best they've ever experienced. They selected great music based on our feedback, they deftly guided the flow throughout the night, and they kicked it up a notched and really got the party going after dinner. We planned to lean on a live band to be our primary entertainment, and they exceeded our expectations! We will be forever grateful to Uptown Drive for being a big part of what made our party so memorable for us and our guests.

WOW! They’re the BEST!

Uptown Drive surpassed any expectation we could have had! They were INCREDIBLE! Their crowd-work was amazing, they were so talented, and the playlist kept people on the dance floor all night long!! Best band ever!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am pretty much speechless because this band is THAT good. I first want to compliment, Greg Williams, the owner of Uptown Drive. From booking all the way through wedding day, he was nothing but responsive, respectful and a pleasure to work with. As for the reception, they made it what it was! I think what is incredible about them is they entertain everyone (not only those dancing on the dance floor) because every song is a TRUE performance. I am not lying when i say this, every time I have seen someone that attended my wedding, every one of them (young or old) comment on how great the band was. FYI I'm three months out from my wedding, so I've seen a lot of my guests since then. They played the right music while everyone was eating and visiting and knew exactly how to transition to dance floor time by doing a conga line. They let my husband and I get on stage and sing which we will remember and cherish forever. They came out into the crowd and let out our guest sing. They came out in the crown and danced with us! Me and some of my guests joke that we would like to have another wedding just so we can have them play again. I could absolutely not recommend this band anymore! Stop here and BOOK THEM!!! P.S. Incredible Band!

Just WOW! If you are looking for a band that brings the energy and makes your party like no other - HIRE UPTOWN DRIVE! Not only did they keep everyone dancing all night long, but they even brought me and my husband on stage for an encore performance! They were so much fun and every single one of our guests has not stopped raving about the band. Also, something I didn't realize would make much of a difference but that many people have commented on is that they alternate singers throughout their set. This just brought new life constantly to the night and kept everyone excited. I originally picked Uptown Drive because my wedding planner said they are the most fun band they usually see and they truly exceeded all expectations. I cannot recommend them enough!!

Wedding Band

Uptown Drive was one of the highlights of our wedding day. From the beginning, Greg was always very responsive and accommodating to our preferences and helped our vision come to life. They also assisted not only with live music, but played music for our procession, cocktail hour, and reception. I cannot praise this group enough for their adaptability, optimism, and willingness to help out. Unfortunately our officiant that we booked did not show up on our wedding day, but then fortunately for us, Quiesean stepped up to the plate and officiated our wedding on short notice. It is a memory we will look back on and cherish/laugh at forever and appreciate a fellow red raider (wreck em!) to help us out in time of crisis.

Uptown Drive performed a live set during dinner and then turned it up for us while on the dance floor after dinner. They are great with keeping the crowd engaged and involved in performances. Myself and my husband are already thinking of another event we can plan and book uptown drive for because we loved them so much. They truly made our wedding day so special and memorable. They worked well with our vendors and introduced themselves to myself and husband while setting up. Every single one of our guests talks about how amazing the band was and we credit uptown drive for all these amazing memories we were able to create with them on our wedding day!

Amazing wedding band!

Where to begin, my husband and I first saw Uptown Drive preform at one of our favorite bars when we first met, Bakers Street Pub, and instantly fell in love with them. We first heard them perform in 2018 not even knowing that they were a wedding band! When we got engaged in 2020 we immediately knew what our first decision would be…. Hiring uptown drive to play at our wedding. This was absolutely the BEST decision we made for our wedding. Greg Williams really made the process easy, exciting and it was an absolute pleasure working with the entire band. We danced, we cried and we got blisters on our feet.. highly suggest this band. They get the party started and get the crowd excited!

The 2nd best thing about my wedding day was the band

I cannot emphasize enough how Greg and Uptown Drive made our special day even more amazing. Besides our celebration, they were the biggest hit of the night. If you're debating booking them, stop now and just do it. The music was amazing, the performance top notch, the set list superb, and they just brought such an amazing energy that kept everyone glued to the dance floor. All of our guests raved about amazing the band was, and I'd book them again in a heart beat. It also didn't hurt that Greg was a delight to work with, reasonably priced, and accommodated all our requests. 15/10 would recommend.

Most Talked About Aspect of My Wedding!

Hiring Uptown Drive was definitely one of the best decisions I made when it came to my wedding. They made great suggestions about party flow, kept the crowd dancing all night, and were incredibly kind and fun to work with. I'm not kidding when I say that of all of the guests we spoke to afterwards, at least three quarters of them mentioned how amazing the band was. Our wedding was in the middle of the Omicron surge and we had far fewer guests than we had anticipated. Uptown Drive kept the dance floor full and made it seem so full of energy and fun. It wouldn't have been the same without them. Oh, and they do a MEAN Horah if that's your thing. I'm currently brainstorming the next life event that I can rationalize using Uptown Drive for. They were incredible!

Non-Stop Fun

Hands down the easiest decision I made was booking Uptown Drive for my wedding in Houston. Professional and so much fun! Greg and the band understood the assignment when I said I wanted a non-stop dance party! After sending Greg a few ceremony and entrance songs the week before, he took the time to listen to each and called me making suggestions based on his musical expertise (cut in at this time, fade here, extend this here, etc). It was so unexpected and small but meant so much that he took the time to listen and provide feedback that would make the most sense for flow of the night. Incredible group of people, non-stop party, and the best company. I could go on and on. Stop looking and BOOK THEM!

I have been in the event business for almost ten years and was lucky to work with Uptown Drive on several occasions. When my own big day came around, there was no doubt in my mind that we would hire Greg Williams and Uptown Drive! They are responsive, low maintenance and easy to communicate with. Day of, they are FULL of energy, fun, have amazing routines and get the crowd involved. I can’t even tell you how many compliments we got on the band all night and every day since. Look no further -- you have found your wedding band! Greg and his band were the heart and soul of our wedding reception. From the never ending energy, the AMAZING horah, and the Michael Jackson impression our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the band was. The BEST band for a wedding!

We first heard Uptown Drive at a wedding almost 2 years ago. My husband and I commented then (after dancing all night) how awesome they were. When our daughter got engaged a few months later, I immediately contacted Greg with Uptown Drive. Their song catalog is extensive, their vocalists are fantastic, the musicians unbelievable and they gave lots of options to our daughter and son in law. The band also kindly worked with us as we scheduled and then re-scheduled this COVID wedding. Greg was super responsive and easy to work with. When the big day finally came, Uptown Drive more than exceeded our hopes and expectations. We all danced to every song!! They did such a great job of building up the musical momentum throughout the night. Not only are they so talented but they made everything so FUN! Everybody danced even the grandparents! They made the bride and groom feel so special, I just can’t imagine a more joy filled evening. All our guests said they have never heard such a great wedding band and we agree! Run, don’t walk and book Uptown Drive for your wedding or event.

My son and his fiancée were committed to Uptown Drive from the moment of their engagement. After driving from Dallas to Austin to hear the band six months before the wedding, I thought they were a good choice. Little did I understand how very special this band is! Greg was so easy to work with and provided suggestions to make the night truly memorable. Not even Covid-19 could diminish the evening once Uptown Drive started to play.

Book uptown drive now! Seriously. Run!

To the engaged couple out there or someone looking for a band -- rest assured Uptown Drive is the best out there. We cannot speak highly enough of Greg & Uptown Drive. You are doing yourselves a disservice if you don't hire them.

Not only are they most talented and diverse band in Austin, but their talent also comes with top notch customer service on things you are likely not even thinking of at this moment such as - how should the couple be introduced, coordinating for your first dance and father daughter dance, sound set up for the ceremony so all guests can hear your vows, coordinating a smart timeline that fits with the flow of your night, etc. Hiring a band is more than just their music when playing (WHICH IS TOP NOTCH!!!) but the things that will truly make your night are all of the other things that Uptown Drive makes happen. Thanks to Greg & team - the stresses of having terrible audio during our ceremony (which I have seen more times than I can count) and any concerns are out the window.

Additionally, THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND to learn our first dance song for us and it sounds better than the original recording. They even sent us an audio clip to make sure we were comfortable with how they were playing it. We both cried. Seriously - you can't do better than Greg and Uptown Drive. They have been THE BEST communication we have had with any vendor. Hands down. Above and beyond. Once again, taking any stress out of planning.

Investing in a high quality band is one of the best things you can do if you're looking for a true wedding experience. We had a fairly large wedding of 190 people and there were ALWAYS 100+ people on the dance floor - non-stop party. Uptown Drive knows how to engage the audience, they work with the couple to get the flow right, and during their short rest breaks they still have a rockin' DJ if you have some songs you want the recording of. After our wedding we had so many compliments from our guests that they had never been to a better wedding reception and that was hands down due to Uptown Drive! BOOK THEM! (also we recommend spending the little extra money to invest in the brass players as well - totally worth it!!!!!!)

Lastly, I'm a musician, mom is a music teacher, my father-in-law is in a band, & my uncle is a professional musician who has played for big name artists and he has played in wedding bands as well - so hopefully that helps build your confidence in our opinions when it comes to music and their level of talent. I wish I could say that other groups provide that same service but I haven't heard of it or seen it done. So I highly recommend you look no further - Uptown Drive is where it's at.

Honestly - don't waste your time looking anywhere else. Book Uptown Drive ASAP.

Amazing! Beyond All Expectations!

When planning our wedding we agreed on the top 3 things to focus our time and money on: food, alcohol, and entertainment. We saw a few bands, but by far the most entertaining was Uptown Drive. This band is amazing! Not only are the artists very talented, but they are great to work with! Greg was very responsive and proactive on a variety of platforms (calls, emails, text, etc.).

We even through a couple curve balls at them the day of the wedding and they adjusted with ease. This includes bringing up one of the groom's best friends to sing Purple Rain. I also highly recommend adding the horns tot he ensemble if you can.

If you are looking for a high energy, engaging band who can help emcee the night stop your search and hire Uptown Drive!

Stop looking, this is your band.

Words can’t describe how perfect our wedding was and a large part of what made it so fantastic was Uptown. They start the party and keep it going, yet also have the ability to read the room and adjust if the vibe is calling for a slow song. Seriously, they are AMAZING!

Best band EVER

Uptown Drive was incredible - you need to book them NOW! They were hands down one of the best parts of our wedding - our guests still talk about how amazing they were four months later. My husband and I were originally hesitant to book a band because most that we looked at only had Motown songs in their setlist and we wanted some newer music sprinkled in as well. Greg was so generous with his time and had multiple calls with us going over the setlist, specific songs we wanted played, timeline for the day, etc... Their customer service is incredible and we felt like they really cared about what we wanted. On the night of the wedding they sang their hearts out and entertained the crowd - people were LOVING the choreography and how they came down off the stage. We would recommend Uptown Drive to everyone - you won't regret it!

Totally energetic and made the reception a blast!

Best Part - Book Uptown Drive!

After getting engaged and knowing our venue was the Majestic Theatre, my husband and I knew that a live band was essential.

Uptown Drive was the first vendor we booked for our wedding and it was the best decisions we made! Greg was super responsive to our initial inquiry and invited us to a public performance they had in Austin to see them live. After nailing our request to hear "Love on Top" by Beyonce, we were hooked and booked right then.

Incredibly talented and entertaining, Uptown Drive played our reception on the stage of the Majestic Theatre and universally wowed our guests! They worked with us to craft an atmosphere that just kept getting better and better.

Professional talent, state of the art equipment, and experts in the industry is what you will get.

Flexible, they quickly learned our first dance song ("Best Part" by Daniel Ceasar) just a few weeks before the wedding when we made the last minute change.

Book Uptown Drive and let them be the part of your wedding or event that everyone talks about...after they catch their breath from all the dancing :)

Honestly, if you are reading this you are far enough along now that you shouldn't turn back. I have no more words, cheesy jokes or anecdotes to convince you. Just do it!

November 2019 Wedding

Uptown Drive is an incredibly talented and vivacious band! Every member of the group brings a unique flair to the band, and we had a blast watching them perform at our wedding. They always looked like they were having so much fun on stage, and that fun was contagious! The band brought so much energy and entertainment to our reception, and we especially enjoyed the limbo line and Michael Jackson homage! We appreciated their diverse set list and wonderful customer service (especially their patience in dealing with our many, many, MANY emails)! Fantastic! Best band ever!

We booked Uptown Drive for our August wedding. First of all, Greg was fantastic to work with. Very responsive and organized. Most importantly, the band is AMAZING!!!!! They kept our guest on the dance floor all night long. They even played our first dance live! I can not say enough good things about this band. Dave Madden here, voted Best Music Arranger at the AMP Austin Music Industry Awards and Top 10 Best Keyboardists as voted by the Austin Chronicle's Music Poll. I'm a member of the Recording Academy and a voting member for the Grammy's. I've given a TED Talk on music. I've also played hundreds of wedding receptions. I know the musicians that make up virtually every major wedding band in Austin.

I chose Uptown Drive to play my wedding. They killed it, like I knew they would, and like they always do.

Austin boasts an embarrassment of musical riches. There are tons of great bands out there. Many of them would probably do an amazing job for your wedding. But Uptown Drive is a sure thing. They're going to wow your family and friends. They're going to summon an unforgettable party out of thin air.

Kept the dance floor going!

Uptown Drive was exactly what we incisions our wedding band to be. They had so much energy and excitement, they kept the dance floor going all night!

Uptown Drive - The Absolute Best

I can't recommend Uptown Drive enough, they were amazing. Having a stellar band for our wedding (Apr 2019) was of the upmost importance to my wife and we could not have been more pleased. I'm not kidding when I say people overtook the dance floor for 3 hours straight, jam after jam, it was unprecedented. There were a lot of sore legs the next day, that's for sure. They interacted with the crowd throughout the entire performance which kept everyone constantly engaged and dancing. My wife crowd surfing off the stage during one of their final songs was probably the highlight. She actually never left the dance floor all night, my best man was on drink refill duty so she wouldn't have to. Her sister has already booked Uptown Drive for their wedding next spring and a couple other friends are planning to use them for their weddings as well. You will not be disappointed and your party goers will rave about it for months after, as they did for us. Make sure to add the brass section, really ties the performance together.

Incredible

My husband and I recently got married on June 1st and we had Uptown Drive at our wedding! Working with Greg and Uptown Drive was a great experience and he was so helpful throughout the whole process. Everyone complimented our band at the wedding and even the weeks following! 10/10 would recommend having them at your wedding.
They were so good at interacting with the crowd and getting people on the dance floor which was also a major bonus and we loved that!!

Uptown Drive is the best wedding band!

Uptown Drive was phenomenal for our wedding! Not only did we have the best night of our lives dancing and celebrating our marriage, but our friends and family literally could not stop complimenting them even to this day. We went to see Uptown Drive at Baker Street Pub as part of our wedding research and knew they would do a great job after the first time we saw them, but they exceeded our expectations by a mile on our wedding night!

When we think back to the day, my husband and I both had the same favorite memory, standing on stage when Greg took us up during the last song and looking down at all of our favorite people on the dance floor! The music was wonderful but the attention to detail (like that moment and also making a special shout out for the first song we ever danced to), performances, coordinated dances, crowd involvement, and song choices were hands down better than any wedding band we’ve ever seen (and we've been to a lot of weddings).

Thank you Uptown Drive for a making our wedding night the most epic dance party we could have ever imagined! Best decision we made for our wedding - they are a must have!

Amazing band

Uptown Drive made our wedding a night we would never forget. The band was interactive and got everyone out on the dance floor. The variety of music was absolutely perfect for all ages. Awesome night with packed dance floor

Incredibly talented, unique, and kind!

Uptown Drive is the best! They played at our wedding in March and made the reception so exciting and memorable. They played awesome sets that were perfectly curated, energetic, and interactive! Best wedding band ever!

Uptown Drive will not disappoint. They are incredible musicians and the nicest people. Greg called me immediately and answered all our questions. The Band even learned a song for us! He called 1 week before the wedding to finalize all songs, and announcements. He listened to what our daughter wanted, and did it all! The dance floor was FULL the entire night, and everyone will agree the band made the evening. The Band members danced on the floor with the guests, and had the Groom come up on stage. This Band was the best money spent all night. FUN, FUN, FUN!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I wish we could do it all over again with Uptown Drive!!

Best Wedding Band Ever - Book them now!

Our experience with Uptown Drive was top notch from the beginning. Greg was incredibly responsive and took the time to answer all of our questions. Day of - they were the hit of the night. It’s been almost two months since our wedding, and people still can’t stop gushing about them. Seriously, we cannot recommend this band enough. Not only were they the highlight of the evening, they were the leader that kept everything running smoothly. They were just so on top of it all. They ended the night with the song, “Shout” and came down to the dance floor and danced with us, instruments in hand! Booking Uptown Drive was by far the best decision we made. We had the wedding of the year because of this band. They are so energetic, so much fun, and keep everyone on the dance floor. Our dance floor was packed from start to finish and all of their songs are exceptionally amazing. If I could do it again, I would book this band over and over and over and over. If you like to party and get down on the dance floor, you need to book this band.

Greg is extremely sincere and kind and listened to all of my requests without hesitation. He helped the wedding flow so well. Even when my timeline got thrown a little off by our caterer running behind, he reassured me that everything was fine and got everything back on track and running smoothly, which I am so grateful for. Greg is a great emcee and he really goes above and beyond.

This band is one of a kind. I have been to many many weddings, and maybe I am biased because they were our band, but they are the best band I have ever seen. My family and I plan to actually go see them when they play in Austin!!

These guys are the best. Stop looking around and book this band.

Amazing, money well spent, best part of the night!

By far, the best decision my husband and I made - We are almost a month post-wedding, and my friends and family STILL rave about how great Uptown Drive was.
Uptown Drive isn't just a wedding band. They are true entertainers and performers. Not only was the music selection amazing (we actually asked for the playlist so we can keep on listening to the set list!), but they interacted with the crowd and played alongside us as well! My guests were AMAZED. They had never seen a band like this before! Absolutely would recomend Uptown Drive to anyone! We are so so so so pleased with our choice in band :)

The BEST Wedding Band

Greg and his team know how to get a party started! Everyone had a little too much fun and the dance floor was never empty! Our wedding planner recommended them and we were sold as soon as we saw them play at Baker Street one Friday night. So fun and easy to work with - we had a blast!! Our wedding reception wouldn't have been the same without them.

Absolutely amazing!!!

This is the best money you could possibly spend on your wedding! I first heard Uptown Drive at a friend's wedding three years ago, and that was the day I decided I wanted a band at my own wedding. They are excellent performers and would come off stage to interact with the crowd, and the music was fantastic! They know their audience well, and are so fun and easy to work with. My mom and I communicated with Greg and had a wonderful experience with him. He is prompt, organized, and so so nice! They were very flexible and worked with us when our stage was too small. They definitely know the ins and outs of weddings, and unlike many other bands, when you hire Uptown Drive, you know exactly who your performers will be as it is the same group that performs every time! This band is the way to go!

I can’t say enough great things about Uptown Drive! When my husband and I first started planning our wedding, we wanted to check out a few bands in person before making any decisions. Greg was so accommodating with our crazy schedules and helped us make it work to come see them live at a corporate event. Even at this corporate event, they were so high energy! Greg even came over to us mid-set to greet us and see if there were any songs we really wanted to hear. He also took time after their set to come talk to us, get to know us, and answer any questions we had. After seeing them play live, we knew we wanted them to play at our wedding. We were really amazed by their professionalism from the very start. Greg is amazing to work with, very responsive to emails, and willing to do whatever he can to make his clients happy. We also had the band learn a song for our first dance - they were so accommodating with the learning the song and even sent us a recording of the band playing the song before our wedding so we could practice our first dance to the band’s version! The live version of the song turned out beautifully, along with the rest of the music they played. During the reception, people were raving about the band, and 2 months later, people are still telling me about how much they loved our wedding band! They will engage your wedding guests during the entire night and really know how to get the party started! They had every single one of our guests up dancing throughout the night. Plus, every member of the band is incredibly talented. Many of our wedding guests told us and our parents that our wedding was the most fun wedding they have ever been to, and I think this was largely due the band. I would highly recommend them to any bride/groom looking for a fun, professional wedding band. I would absolutely pick them as our wedding band if I had to do it all over again! Reception Goals!!

When we booked Uptown Drive for our wedding, my husband and I had never seen them play live, but my parents said they were the best event band they had ever seen so we were blindly trusting their opinion.
WOW. This was maybe the best decision we made in the entirety of the planning process!! I am not exaggerating when I say we had the time of our lives at our reception. Our guests were on the dance floor all. night. long. and the crowd really never thinned out even when they switched up the songs! Even some of my husband's friends who I figured wouldn't be much into dancing were on the dance floor with us all night! Everyone loved when the band went onto the dance floor to play, and we even got to jump on stage for the last song.
Our wedding was more than four weeks ago and every time I run into someone who attended, they still want to talk about how fun the reception was!
Our highest priority with wedding planning was to make sure our guests had a great time, and Uptown Drive helped us make this dream a reality!! Cannot recommend them highly enough!

Looking for a Party? Hire Uptown Drive!!

Looking for a band that will get the party started and no one will want to stop dancing or leave the dance floor? Look NO FURTHER! I cannot begin to describe how wonderful and amazing Uptown Drive is. After searching and going to look at numerous bands, Uptown Drive was #1 on our MUST HAVE list! I knew I had to have a band for my wedding but I cannot begin to tell you how amazing and wonderful the band is to work with. Greg was so easy to work with, he worked with both my dad and I and answered all our questions and was extremely easy to get a hold of and on top of his game, and that was just the booking process!!

Throughout the entire wedding planning process and picking out songs from their extensive repertoire, Greg was so friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed!

I have to tell you when it came to the big day, this is the MOST interactive band I have ever seen!! The got people out on the dance floor AND KEPT them on the dance floor, even when they took breaks the songs that were played during their breaks, no one left. I have received SO many complements on how amazing this band was and how they kept the party "hopping". They even incorporated our Alma Mater's Fight Song and brought that into one of their routines!! You will not find a more interactive, on the dance floor with you, playing the hits and oldies to keep all generations on the dance floor band than Uptown!! We had all generations out dancing, from our youngest and Uptown Drive's newest fan, my 1 year old cousin, to my 92 year old grandpa. I beg you to find any other band that can do that!

Thank you Greg and Uptown Drive for making our wedding "one hell of a party", that people are STILL talking about 3 weeks later!

Is this real life?

I was recommended Uptown Drive by my bestie who has been in the local Austin music industry for years. We wanted a fun band, that could sing and entertain.. and that we enjoyed being around. I spoke to Gregg on and off for several months leading up to the wedding. With conversation numero uno, I felt like I was chatting with a friend. Leading up to the week of the wedding, Gregg helped us nail down last minute decisions like a pro. The band is top notch professionals and AMAZING performers. I honestly have never experienced a band like this at any wedding and I'm not being biased. We felt so special and our guests all complimented the band. Literally our only regret was not booking them longer and extending the venue hours to later, because everyone wanted to party with these guys until the wee hours. I cannot say enough positive things. "You get what you pay for" could not pertain more. I almost hired a band that was slightly cheaper, maybe about $1k which is nothing to snub your nose at. But WOW did we get quality by going with Uptown Drive. If you are spending a ton for a beautiful wedding, do not skimp on the entertainment. Our Hearts Will Go On

We could not be happier with Uptown Drive and the entertainment they provided. To start, Greg was super accommodating in our needs for music for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. For dinner specifically, we had guests asking "What are these covers? We haven't heard these versions played before!" as if the music was pre-recorded. It wasn't. Uptown Drive was playing over where they were set up, away from dinner, and pumping their audio out to us at dinner. And they were still putting on a show for anyone who wandered over. Once the party got started, it was more than we had ever wished for. It was the most that either of us had ever danced at a wedding (well, it was OURS, I guess...), and the party was ON. Uptown Drive went above and beyond to get the song list ready that we wanted for our wedding, and they sounded great the whole time. They are totally complete and professional entertainers, and we hope we get to go to another of their performances sometime soon!

Absolutely amazing!

I do not even know where to begin! My husband and I were SO happy with the entire experience of working with Uptown Drive. Greg was great to work with before the wedding. Very responsive and helpful. So friendly and easy to work with. The band was AMAZING! Our friends and family have been raving about how fun and good the band was. So talented and fun! They get involved with the crowd, great entertainers and awesome musicians! This was definitely money well spent and I will be recommending them to all friends having a wedding or any other event in Texas. They did great with reading the crowd and kept our dance floor packed the entire time! They appeal to groups of all ages. They have a great set list and will work with you if there are any specific songs you are wanting to be played. Thank you Uptown Drive for making our special night so fun!

Uptown Drive is THE BEST!

Uptown Drive is, without a doubt, THE BEST band in Austin, Texas for weddings and beyond!!! Greg Williams was wonderful to work with during the months prior to the event, and he and his bandmembers did an OUTSTANDING job at our wedding reception. They all are so incredibly talented and are amazing entertainers. They truly are like no other . . . young and old alike at our event commented over and over and over on how great they were. They created a fun way to celebrate a most happy and joyous occasion and they did it in a way that involved everyone there. I highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat. Weddings are an expensive undertaking - the money we spent on Uptown Drive was some of the best money we spent! They were outstanding and I cannot say enough good things about them. Uptown Drive came recommended through a friend of a friend for my wedding and they did not disappoint! Before we booked them my mom and I made an impromptu trip to from Fort Worth to see them. I met Greg before their set and got to chat with him and they even worked some of the music I said we liked in so we could hear it!
Leading up to the event Greg was awesome, always getting back to us quickly if we had any questions. He even checked in with us the week before to go over music selection and our play/don't play list and to make sure he said our last name correctly. My dad had a certain song he wanted for the father daughter dance and they had no problem learning that for him. The dance floor was packed all night and they really kept the party going! Everyone at the wedding loved them, guests and vendors alike! If you're looking for a fantastic band this is it!

I cannot say enough good things about uptown drive to truly capture how amazing our wedding night was. They absolutely killed it!
My husband and I can’t even count the number of people who told us they loved the band and have never heard a better band at any wedding, ever. Their renditions of Cheerleader, michael jackson songs, and backstreet boys were definitely the hits of the night and kept everyone on the dance floor.

You will absolutely love the energy and excitement they bring to the party - it was hands down the best vendor decision we made. Not only was the sound quality top notch, but they were professional and fantastic to collaborate with in the planning stages. We totally wished our wedding had 3 more hours of dancing and singing with Uptown Drive.

Hiring Uptown Drive was the single best decision we made for our wedding. Working with Greg was very easy and he was very responsive to our questions, needs, and music we wanted played. The set list and performance amped up our wedding guests and turned a normal wedding reception into a rockin’ concert performance. Highly recommend- they aren’t cheap but they are worth every penny! I booked Uptown Drive for an out of town wedding having never heard them. Greg was wonderful to deal with. Always responded promptly and answered all my questions and made me feel at ease through the whole process. Over the years I have learned that the band makes a wedding. And let me tell you Uptown Drive is great. We had a challenging room for sound and the manager of the venue told me in his 30 years he had never heard a band sound so good. Total professionals all the way. The music was outstanding and had everyone dancing all night. You should book Uptown Drive!

Uptown Drive was the best wedding band! The variety of music kept people dancing all night long. Greg was very responsive and was so easy to coordinate with. They traveled about 5 hours for the event and was on time for everything! Greg even helped coordinate and pick songs for during the ceremony which was a HUGE help! They provided all emceeing and music during breaks which went very smooth. The band was very entertaining and interactive with the crowd! Multiple people have told me after the fact that this was the best wedding band they have heard! I would totally hire this band for another event in the future!

We wanted our wedding to be a great party with great music, and Uptown Drive delivered in such a major way. They are so talented and they make it really fun. Everyone at the wedding was raving about the band; saying it was the best wedding band they'd seen. It was nice and it was true--and it's really what you want at your wedding, for your guests to be raving about how much fun they're having.

Also, my now-husband is very particular about music, so their range, for him, especially the Motown, was part of the appeal. Definitely add the brass.

We'd had the pleasure of seeing them perform in Austin prior to the date, and we're hoping to catch them in Austin again soon. They're just great.

I can't rave more enthusiastically about Uptown Drive! My (now) husband and I both care a lot about music,and the process of picking a band for our wedding was super important and super intimidating. There's no shortage of options when choosing a band, but weeding through them all was really overwhelming. We watched so many videos, but it was really hard feeling completely confident in who to choose (particularly because we live in Washington, DC and were getting married in Houston, so couldn't scope out our choice in real life). That said, we kept coming back to Uptown Drive because of the quality of their recorded performances, their range of songs (Motown to The Weekend), and their past reviews were so, so strong!

Before choosing Uptown Drive, I'd reached out to several bands and kept getting connected to the same few people who worked for groups representing multiple bands. That agency model was frustrating, confusing, and I kept getting the feeling that I was being fleeced. On the other hand, with Uptown Drive, Greg was my one point of contact from beginning to end. Greg was super responsive to every question, really easy to work with, and I was confident from the jump we were in great hands!

Fast-forward to our actual wedding day, the entire Uptown Drive team was amazing. From ceremony music, to conspiring with our friends to surprise us with a flash mob, to "Auld Lang Syne" at midnight – they didn’t miss a beat. We got so many compliments about how great the band was, and they kept everyone from our 20-year-old cousin to 80+ year-old grandparents dancing all night! All of the musicians and singers are so talented, and we can't recommend them more highly!

I think if anything, my only warning is that as good as their videos and recordings are, they don't do Uptown Drive justice – they were so, so, so fun in real life. If I could give 10-stars for our full experience working with them, I would!

When my husband and I selected Uptown Drive to play at our wedding, we expected a fun, energetic group that would get the crowd going and keep the energy level high throughout the evening. What we got were true professionals (led by the amazingly talented Greg Williams) who transformed our wedding night into the best dance party of the year.

After signing with Uptown Drive, Greg personally called me to review our song selections and even customized the Father/Bride dance to expertly splice out one of the verses with questionable lyrics. Greg and his team orchestrated the musical flow of the entire day beautifully - from the Bridal Party walking down the aisle to the sax solo that told the entire room that Santa Claus would be entering the scene and joining the dance party.

Uptown Drive left the stage and danced and played alongside the wedding guests in what was truly one of the most amazing dance parties of my life! I would (and have) recommended Uptown Drive to ANYONE looking for an insanely talented, fun, professional musical experience - not to mention, the members of Uptown Drive are truly wonderful people.

Greg and uptown drive were one of the best choices we made for our wedding! First off, greg was extremely easy to communicate with and quickly responded to all emails. He was also helpful in securing us ceremony music and cocktail hour jazz band.

The reception itself was phenomenal. Greg and his team got the crowd in to the music and would even come off stage to dance with people. The dance floor was literally never empty. Even my 75 year old grandfather (who definitely didn’t dance) said their music was very enjoyable and entertaining to listen to.

I still get compliments on the band and questions of how I found them and where they are located. They did a great job of playing a mix of different genres and making sure the songs we really wanted played that night were played. They really gave us a fantastic night to remember!!

Uptown Drive was an absolutely phenomenal band and team, I would recommend them for any event. They were responsive to all of our emails leading up to the event, and they were open to tailoring their list of songs to exactly what we wanted. The team offered suggestions as to what worked well in the past but was constantly open to playing the music we wanted. Greg and all of Uptown Drive gave us the lively atmosphere we wanted at the wedding and were accomodating on all fronts! Uptown Drive is AMAZING! When we initially reached out to the band, they were quick to invite us to another event they were performing at so we could listen to them before making a decision, and it was an easy one to make! Greg is super personable and very helpful! They made sure we went over the song list in advance with them and they were very flexible to work with us to customize our first dance song, so that everything worked out absolutely perfectly on our wedding day! We are still getting feedback several months later for our guests commenting on how our band was amazing, and that ours was the best wedding that they had ever been to! They play a little bit everything! Top 40, 90s, the classics! Everything you need in music for an event for guests young and old. Our wedding was great! Dance floor was packed. People were sweating through their shirts they were dancing so hard. I would definitely use them and recommend them for any type of event your looking for live band entertainment. Words cannot describe how wonderful this band is. They made our wedding The unforgettable party that it was. They took wedding band performance to a whole new level. Not only was the music great but they put on a show as well. People LOVED them. Everyone commented on two things from our wedding and it was #1 the band and #2 the flowers. I don't think most people attend a wedding where the band is so entertaining that guests take pictures of them and with them. That happened. They are interactive and engage the crowd with conga lines, mini performances, dance circles. Just hire them and you will NOT regret it.

This band makes a reception fun and so memorable. They are high energy and never stop. Made the reception fantastic. Everyone gets out to dance. Very professional as well. Uptown Drive were the perfect band for our wedding. We left the playlist up to them with a couple of specific requests and every song had everybody up on the dance floor, singing along and participating with the band.
I recommend checking out one of their shows (we saw them first at Crossroads in Fredericksburg, TX). I think my wife and I had made the decision to book them for my wedding before they were done with their first set. When you book them, make sure you have at least one Michael Jackson song in the mix, Adrian's show is awesome.
From the booking process all the way through to the performance, Greg from Uptown Drive was responsive and accommodating (he's also the band's saxophonist and absolutely crushed it on both occasions we have seen Uptown Drive).
We compared Uptown Drive to many other bands in terms of price point and they were by far the best value for money we could find.
I can't recommend Uptown Drive enough and will be reaching out again for future events.

Best band ever! Our venue was not exactly what we wanted and we were worried it was going to be a mess, but the band was rocking their hearts out, as was the crowd! Wish it could have gone on for another 3 hours

Uptown Drive was incredible. We were so happy that we booked them. They made the wedding; I'm still getting comments on the band. My wife and I were on the dance floor with the majority of the guests the whole night. They began with a great selection of classics and then transitioned into 90s and current songs. Greg was great to work with. The band was very professional and were all excellent musicians. Highly recommend!
