I am so glad I choose The Stanley Hotel for my wedding reception. The hotel is located 15 minutes from my ceremony venue in Rocky Mountain National Park which is perfect. The views are breathtakingly beautiful as well as the grounds and hotel. The Stanley Hotel offers great wedding packages that fit my needs perfectly. I instantly fell in love with the hotel, but the food really sealed the deal! Everything I tried was delicious, and the food is very important to my fiance and I! I only have a few complaints, although the wait staffs execution was great we did have some issues. My guests and I felt like we were being rushed through our dinner. The staff was too quick to bus plates when guests were not finished eating. Also, against our instruction the bartender proceeded to open several bottles of champagne and pour them for toasts. We had expressed that there would be no toasts, no one attending drank champagne, and most of my guests didn't drink at all. Which is why i choose a by consumption open bar. In the end I had to pay for several bottles of champagne that no one wanted or drank.
I also had issues with our one night stay at the hotel for our wedding night. I opted out of staying in the historical part of the hotel to instead stay in the newer building. I had been shown ahead of time which suite we would get on our wedding night and I was assured their would be no issues on the day, just get my key and go. We went to the building our room was supposed to be in and our keys were for a different part of the hotel. We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to correct the mistake and bring the key to our suite, while our guests and photographer waited. When they did arrive the key was to a tiny room with a handicap bathroom! We needed to get back to our wedding so we just excepted it. In the morning we also come to find out there's no room service in our building, and no vending machines. So we left ASAP to eat.

This is not 5 Star Review, but Wedding Wire places recent low ranked ones at the bottom. Wished our experience had improved but several issues and poor communication over several months with 3 different staff members who coordinate the venue, the most recent being Amanda resulted in a disappointing experience. No notification that the site where ceremony was held (outside concert hall) was under construction (dirt pile, missing sidewalk)and also was still being painted and wasn’t finished by day of ceremony! Contradictions with pricing. First coordinator gave us a $70 per person quote for reception but by 3rd coordinator it was up to $110. When asked what the difference in extra $40 would be and no clear answer, they backed down to the $70 again. While serving staff was pleasant, the food was extremely lackluster (including both wrong and missing menu items and trying to pass off chilled shrimp for grilled and passing off dry couscous as a creamy, cheesy risotto among other things). The Stanley is resting on its laurels unfortunately. Estes Park is a lovely location for a wedding venue, but our experience planning for daughter’s with The Stanley was disappointing to say the least. Cannot recommend them as a wedding venue.

My fiance and I were married at The Stanely June 4, 2018. It was a perfectly magical ceremony. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous & classy!! Amanda Rachocki, our wedding coordinator was so accommodating. We had to change our wedding venue 1 week before our wedding and she was so helpful & very quick to help us out. She responded to our emails quickly & worked around our schedules to meet with us and book a room for our ceremony. I would highly recommend The Stanley for weddings and any other events, very beautiful. PS The views are out of this world!!!
The Stanley Hotel is one of my favorite wedding venues, not just in Estes Park, but in all of Colorado. Though just a short walk from the hotel, their Longs Peak Lawn (my favorite of their ceremony sites) feels secluded and boasts a magnificent mountain view. The staff are incredible and the setting is divine. If you choose to get married at the Stanley, your wedding will be spectacular!
The Stanley Hotel is by far, one of the best wedding and reception venues in Estes Park. The team at the Stanley are some of the nicest and most accommodating. It is always a pleasure to work with them. I have never had a bad experience when working at The Stanley Hotel and would highly recommend them for your wedding and reception.
After shooting 100's of weddings at the Stanley , we had decided to only shoot weddings of 30 guests and under. We love elopements What I want to say is that no matter if the wedding is 250 people or just 6 people, everyone is treated as if they were the only wedding in the world by the Stanley. I am honored to endorse The Stanley Hotel Randy and melanie Humphrey. ( theperfectportrait.net) the Perfect Portrait
